    its called a "Banding Wheel" if its heavy enough to spin for a while once you give it a good push... (yours is a banding wheel, Shimpo i believe)
    a Lazy Suzan is basically always being turned by one hand and holds no momentum, and is usually very light...

    Could I roll a thrown cup onto this after it’s leather hard by rolling it over the block and applying pressure on the inside as I roll?or do you think the relief wouldn’t show up so much?

      I didn't have success but that might be a "Me" problem. But I think it would take a lot of force to get it to emboss.
