Importing and working with video - Adobe Animate CC Tutorial

  • Опубліковано 16 сер 2024
  • Importing a video file into Adobe Animate can be complicated. This video breaks down each step of the process, starting with the import options. I also cover common problems like video length, timing and sync issues, and the inability to export embedded H264. After importing the video, we look at how to swap between embedded videos inside your project file, and how to update the embedded video after editing the original file outside Adobe Animate.

  • @Axxidous

I tried to do it and it wasn't an FLV so couldn't do that.... and wasn't the second choice so I needed to convert. I went to convert and it failed.... then I noticed that the original video file I was trying to import was no longer in my folder... it's just gone. As far as I know. If it's not, it's definitely a pain in the butt that's for sure.
Would be nice if a program like this simply... let you import videos the way you do images. You would think this is obvious so we wouldn't have to go looking up tutorials...

i'm able to successfully import my videos with audio and good sync, but for some reason the program doesn't add all the necessary amount of frames of the completed video...
example: im animating over an animatic video and i went and cut the whole thing into parts to make it easier, the parts around 16-24 seconds.. but when i open in the program the amount of frames it automatically added when i imported it was extremely low, which means i gotta keep adding them myself

Don't know how or why this happens but it's easily fixed by not checking the "correspond document's fps" while importing the video
My video was previously exported at 60fps but want to animate at 12, so it was cutting off needed frames
When importing, just let everything the way it us, like: type of symbol? Incorporated video. Extendi timeline checked, add audio checked. Do not check the last option. It worked for me

Is there a way to split the video clip in adobe animate? I know you can split audio, but whenever I try to split the video clip by creating a keyframe, the new keyframe plays this split clip from the beginning of the original clip. If this is confusing here's an example: I split the clip half way through a man's speech, but at the key frame where I split the clip, it plays the beginning of his speech instead of playing his speech halfway through where I made the cut. If anyone knows how to cut/split video clips in adobe animate, please let me know! :)
