Could you guys use an acoustic rhythm guitarist? Not too many of us left. Seems everyone has gone electric and wants to soak up the limelight. Not me. I just want to be part of something bigger and better than myself. I play simple jazz rhythms... 4/4 like Freddie Green, Ray Biondi, and Fred Guy... I lock in with the drums and try not to step on anyone's toes. Who does that anymore? Most guitarists I've spoken with tell me they'd NEVER limit themselves by just blending in. Hmmm? I don't consider it limiting myself. My goal is for the whole band to look and sound great. I'm NOT concerned with ME standing out. that's why I'm old school. That's why I play an unamplified acoustic archtop guitar. You guys are amazing!
Tuba Skinny with 3 and other bands have revived the acoustic rhythm guitar. Also Katie Cavera on the West Coast and Molly Reeves with the Shake "Em Up Jazz band.
driving to this city next year from cali and a club like this is my dream to be in ,jazz and blues club .
This band is excellent and the piano player is great! I loved his solo and he appears to be having a great time.
