I think the most fascinating aspect of Japanese railroading is the huge variety of trainsets. I always wonder why when I watch these videos.
Yeah I thought the same. They seem to have very large variety of locomotive models. For European or American technical point of view it might seem impractical, since the repair and spare parts will need to be available for all fo those trains. but I guess this is the way Japanese railroad manufacturing keeps work for their workers.

Très belle vidéo ! mais juste une question ? pourquoi certains conducteur de train pointe du doigt à quelques moments pendant le trajet ?
Ils pointent le carré ouvert (feu vert) ou le PK qu'ils passent en lien avec leur feuille de route.
