I wouldn't say Lee is my favorite Batman artist of all time (Graham Nolan is a much better candidate). But nonetheless his stuff is stupendous. I like the way he's able to capture the "classic" Batman look of the comics from the 1970s to the '90s while adding a modern edge. Even so, I do think his artwork is too vibrant and Marvel-like, failing to capture the film noir look and feel of Gotham. There's something I can't resist remarking upon, though. Lee's depiction of Vicki Vale is...well, it's something else! No vestige of sweet girl-next-door Kim Basinger there! People are always talking about how much Frank Miller objectified female characters, but what Lee did to Vale is on a completely different level. He made her an impossibly hot, redheaded Cindy Crawford look alike, standing around in a bra and panties so exotic and intricately designed they make one think the Elves in Tolkien's LORD OF THE RINGS took over Victoria's Secret. They should make that underwear in real life!
I love Hush because it perfectly displays Batman’s strengths as a character and we get to see his thoughts on the family and friends around him. It shows his fighting capability, detective skills, paranoia and even has his origin in one page. Hush as a villain sucks but he’s just a catalyst to see inside Batman’s thinking.
The only redeeming thing about this story, and I mean the ONLY redeeming thing is that it shows Riddler can be the mastermind behind behind a huge story. Even if it makes no sense, I'd like to see more of the real villains be the mastermind behind elaborate schemes. Just have them make sense and enough of the brand new villains who are now the big baddies of Gotham
I agree. I was really looking forward to this when I read about this and that Loeb and Lee were going to do a Batman story. The artwork was great, but the story was VERY disappointing! Tommy Elliot was (And still is, although later writers have made him better. He still sucks, though.) totally contrived and just-ugh! Also, how exactly did he fix Harold’s BACK and Two-Face’s face if he’s just a brain surgeon? If he already got away with murder as a kid, why would he risk his career to just get back at Bruce? It didn’t make sense. Especially since he knows his identity, he could have ruined him in multiple ways (Leaking his identity, screwing up his surgery, etc.). And how can Harvey Dent free THE JOKER from Arkham ? That’s a stretch even for comics. Yeah, this story was a HUGE letdown, especially with Loeb at the helm!
Pretty harsh comment section. I actually kind of like the whispering, it’s an amusing joke and tbh makes it very easy to listen to. Also, great content!
I respect Jeph Loeb's ambition with the story and the attempted scope but found the villain's need for improbable events happening perfectly too stupid to be attributed to good strategy. Too many things which were out of his control had to be spot on for his grand revenge scheme to work.
The only good thing that the animated version is the love scene of Bruce and Selina. On the other hand, the comic book only has the art of Jim Lee to like with, I get the plot but the way it was executed was sloppy at best.

I will check out your other stuff eventually but I just can’t with this video.
Keep creating and working hard x
You had to be there. Hush had everybody wondering and the community talking. It was an engaging ride. Sure the ending kinda blows but it was still a great experience
Going with a hype bandwagon still doesn't make it a good story lol
@@anthonygarcia8749 no, but the parts I said about it being engaging and a great experience do
Linkara’s got spies on the inside
The Lightbringer!
The Lightbringer!
HERCULES MULLIG--
Oh... wrong fanbase.
I disliked the hushing narrative at first, but props for continuing it lmao
Did you really whisper the whole story
Wow you really committed to that gimmick. Props
Hush rly just done copied a good piece of black masks original origin.
You kept the gag the entire video. Props to you!
No offense dude but was the whispering really necessary? I get that it's a hush joke but I'm sorry I just couldn't take the video seriously.
please don’t commit to an average joke for 25+ mins again my man.
22:00. Yeah, why didn’t Harvey just give Jim his revolver back?
Please do more of these Batman comic videos! Thank you my friend
The hush animated film was awful. They fully made Riddler hush. Thomas has like 2 entire lines and it ends with Batman and Catwoman breaking up.
I just think the story doesn't hide Hush's identity well at all
This earned you a subscriber !
If you think this is overrated try the dark Knight returns that’s the greatest Batman story ever told I guarantee
Is everything overrated if it isn't perfect to you people?
0:35 it's shame linkara is bugging you. If I were you I would call on the Lightbringer for help
Just saw what is the darkest joker Johnny frost underrated
The animated movie for hush was about as good as the comic so thats your answer :/ I feel like the Only time hush was used accurately was the Arkham games and I wonder how many people that don’t read comics or rarely read comics was like who the fuck is this lol qiiiii
Jim Lee is basically the tom cruise of comics. Most people will love the book because of him. I have nothing against the writer, i think he did a good job in keeping us engaged and invested into the characters. But hush has an issue of lacking depth for its story compared to other batman stories. It really does have a collection of batmans most popular villains, but it's the same as a book having too many ideas than it needs. The most interesting parts like catwoman and Harvey dent are not as fleshed as I would have liked. The book is still very good but it's not the best comic I've seen.
I freaking love your, your so fucking funny like netter than comicssotruan or comics explains. Sorry for the typos my phone sucks and I'm watching while watching this you're so funny, thank you for doing the gah.
