- On May 19 2024, the weather changed rather quickly. First there was a Severe thunderstorm Watch. Then it turned into a Severe Thunderstorm Warning, and then 3 minutes later into a Tornado Warning.
As we live nomadically and were only visiting in Oklahoma, we had no tornado shelter to go to, no place to shelter the truck and are RV from the storm, damaging hail or a tornado. Once those tornado Sirens starting going off, we decided our best bet was to hit the road an try and our run it. Luckily for us the Tornadoes on the ground were slow moving ones, only travelling at about 30 miles per hour. So we had a real chance at staying ahead of the storm.
Join us, Tarah and Angie along side our pets Stella (our English Bull Terrier) and Mr. Bennie (our Siamese X Tabby cat) as we live full time in our 1972 13 ft boler travel trailer while travel around North America .

What an 'edge of your seat, crazy ride' was this! Between the fear in your voices and the eerie sirens going off all around you, you handled it so well. I just cannot imagine how that must have felt trying to dodge this monster in the dark. I must say though.. the way the lightening lit up the sky was quite beautiful. I'm so glad you're all safe. That video had both of us on the edge of our seat. So glad yall are safe. Have seen many stories this past week of terrible damage. This video got us discussing how we would handle this and getting together some plans before we are in the heat of the moment. Be safe.
Thank you for watching and commenting. Yes it has been quite the year for severe weather and storms. So much devastation out there. What we experienced is nothing compared to many out there. Happy to hear that this video got you discussing what you would do. It's good to have plans and back up to those plans. For us we don't live here, we are only visiting and staying briefly for tarahs foot surgery recovery. But even when in an area you don't live in, it's always good to have a plan. We are starting to pay attention to areas; where could we park for shelter from hail, is there a public tornado shelter etc.

Well I'm not sure about daredevils lol. We are here for Tarah foot surgery and post operation care and appointments. Lol otherwise we would likely be in the mountains somewhere. The timing of it all just happened to have us here for peak tornado season 🤷🫣🤦🏼 thank you for checking on us and your concern ❤️. We will be happy when the surgeon gives the all clear to resume normal travel and we are once again on the road. Hope you are having a great long weekend.
