2009 ruckus, father in law lived in CT and bought it new fir $2k i believe? he passed and i inherited it and brought it to FL were its living its best life. 5300 miles and counting
Was able to find a 2015 ruckus ,435 on the speedometer practically new, They were super nice people and actually gave me a brand new Honda carb for it in the box and a spark plug. I was able to get it for 1500$ I’m super stoked and excited. They were a couple that got them and then never really used them and valued the space in there garage more which is fully understandable, I feel I got a killer deal but if it were a 2002 model with high mileage I think maybe 1k 1300k range would be appropriate . I feel no matter what year they are- in running shape are at a minimum 1500-1700 , getting one for less than 1k is a deal there cheap to fix and easy to work on
@@colinsview well I picked it up looks great and is in great shape , I can get it to idle , back wheel turns when I give it throttle just when I go to move it it doesn’t want to go
@@colinsview I ended up getting it up and running what a awesome bike, be sure to let your bike warm up in the winter , let it idle for a good 20 minutes, you may see different performance because the ruckus takes a long time to warm up and I live in south Florida and we get to hot 🥵 down here hahah safe riding dude!
You got a super deal..they havent really changed in 20 yrs.i paid 3 grand for my 2019 brand new..ill never regret it..and im sure well maintained it will last at least 20 yrs.
Bought a new 2006 Ruckus (white) in 2006 for about $1600 from a local dealer; sold it in 2013 on C-List with about 5,000 miles for $1350. Bought my current 2011 Ruckus (orange) in 2013 for $1400 with 1,300 miles on it; Washington (state) on C-List
I'm new to this looking for some type of E bike or scooter and I decided on a Honda Ruckus from Boston Ma not sure what to pay but I came across your channel for guidance
Yeah, everybody is asking me what mods I'm planning. I have no such plans! Honda is smart. They've designed an awesome little machine that is quite capable as it is., without the "help" of mods. I didn't buy a scooter to go fast, I bought it to do exactly what it does. Like you, I've had so much fun on the Ruckus. 2 grand was a lot of $, but it will provide great fun for years to come.
My second Ruckus. Bought it new for about $2,500. It's a 2020. Honda increased the rev limiter a bit this year so I get a couple mphs more than on my 2017 which I sold then regretted it. I'm in PA. This snow is driving me crazy cause I can't ride. I can ride comfortably in the cold though except my fingers . . . no matter which gloves I use. I'm open for suggestions on how to keep my hands warm. I did try snow mobile hand grip shields, but they didn't help much.
The Honda Zoomer (Ruckus) has not been available to buy new in the UK since 2012 so they are hard to find. I paid £1500 for my 2007 fuel injection UK spec bike. A government vehicle check shows approximately 235 Zoomers still registered to ride on UK roads with roughly the same number untaxed and off the road. European spec import bikes are available but again not cheap.

Thank you for this! I'm trying to find my first scooter and watching a ton of videos.
Glad to hear it! I still think years later that the Honda Ruckus and Yamaha Zuma are top tier scooters. Ruckus for a 1 seater and zuma for a 2 seater.
Any advice for where to learn about Ruckus mechanics - so I can check before buying one?

Get 3 finger gloves where your index/middle finger and ring/pinky are in one glove finger, they will keep each other warm.
Get electric gloves, you can charge them, kinda like a headed blanket
Or put hand warmers in your regular gloves
