+Luis Estevez Yes it did, He inspired me to play this game, and why I love the game. Its been a long journey, 20 years and its time to put it on the rafters.
+swaggy rawnigga How is Kobe too competitive in business of competing?????We didnt get no one in the free agency because we suck......That right there my friend,is not Kobes fault
Long Live Kobe and Gigi Bryant. Kobe, you are my inspiration even though we never met, you brought me so much happiness in my life that I’ll never forget. I remember watching the 2010 NBA finals and it inspired me to play basketball. Your work ethic, your determination toward excellence was a message for me to also succeed in whatever I do. I remember my love the sport instantly grew when I first watched you. I used to play 8 hours a day, everyday in any weather including snow, rain whatever the case me be because I loved basketball so much and wanted to become better at it. Watching you play was the most exciting thing for me because of how beautiful you played, your footwork, your style was so unique in a amazing way. As I played basketball in school, many of friends who never played joined in with me, especially in elementary school. We played everyday and I grew to have so many friends back then. Without you, I believe I never would have played basketball as much.YOU were the Michael Jordan of my generation and in my eyes you are the greatest to ever play. Seeing you post retirement training and coaching Gigi was amazing to watch. Seeing you help the youth in sports was beautiful to see. This tragedy is really tough on me. Kobe will forever be in my heart and his legacy will be forever. God bless you Kobe and Gianna Bryant. God bless the other passengers on board. My prayers are with the families of the victims and Vanessa and her daughters.
Today's Wednesday, April 13, just a regular day for me and I feel so emotional. Then I realized, today's Kobe Bryant's last game. Kobe has been playing in the NBA since I started watching basketball. So many memories and happiness from game winners, amazing plays, winning seasons and winning championships. He kept the city of Los Angeles relevant for over 20 years with all his attributes and everything he did with the Lakers. He's the player I admired the most. I never understood how people my age (24) admired Jordan more than Kobe. Don't get me wrong Jordan is one of, if not, the best. But I didn't see Jordan in his prime because I was too young, I saw Kobe. The NBA will definitely not be the same without him. Thank you Kobe, for everything you have done and given us. Last game, show us again one more time.
I tear up every time I watch this as well. I grew up watching Kobe Bryant. From 1996 to 2016. He is my all time favorite player and I am going to miss watching him play. I am going to miss the fade ways. I am going to miss the mamba face. I am going to miss The Greatest Laker Ever to play the game of basketball.
This video hits me in a different way now. Rest In Peace Kobe Jellybean Bryant, and to your daughter. As well as the remaining passengers on the helicopter.
Even if you hate him, which a lot of you do, you still have to respect his game, one of the greatest. The league will never be the same once he is gone.
time has come my one and the only hero of basketball has to leave the court soon buT PLEASE KOBE rise again rise again for one last time show us your killer fadeaways and amazing footworks with ur mambaface on. i aint ready to say good bye yet.
I don't even have time to watch basketball anymore to busy trying to adult now but this actually made me cry real tears kobe you will be missed and as a laker fan and basketball fan thank you for the memories
Just watched this a few minutes after his final game (60 game performance might I add). Words cannot describe the legacy, the talent, and the legend that will now and forever will be KOBE.
fuck this just makes me tear up, i love the lakers, but when you grow up as a kid watching this man, its hard to think there will ever a be another player i respect and love more than kobe.
beautiful video, the ending of the video I can imagine kobe retired sleeping in his living room, reliving that moment in his memories. And opening his eye's and fans are chanting mvp to some futuristic player on tv. Kobe the one and only, GOAT. Once again great video. Almost brought me to tears....
Man this vid makes me wanna tear up, growing up with Kobe as a role model..it's indescribable. You want to apply his thirst in the same way, makes you want to excel at every single damn thing you do. You don't get to be like Kobe unless you have an unparalleled amount of determination and will like he does, he's just phenomenal. Forget the comparisons, this dudes done more in these last few decades than any other player for me.. Thank you Kobe, thank you for everything. #24
The greatest basketball player of all time, Jordan was number 1 and Kobe is 1A, The NBA will never be the same once Kobe Bryant and Tim Duncan are gone
Time by Hans Zimmer is the song, and its really appropriate, with the amount of time he was given, 20 years in the league, he put it to good use, any way he could have. Kobe the best in my opinion.
I think we can all agree no matter who your favorite team is or who your favorite player is... Kobe is a legend and most people if not everybody will miss him when he's gone...
I rarely comment on videos and I rarely watch them more than once especially videos like this about athletes but this was just so insperational and amazig.... Great job to anyone who was part of making this video I really appreciat it. Thank you.
This guy made me love that Sport. When he retires the NBA will lose its biggest competitor and GOAT next to Jordan. Hopefully we will see him in some NBA-related job again. NBA-Analyst could be possible, not for ESPN, but I guess Kobe will get any Job he wants to. Its not over though, he has still one/two seasons in him and he/the Lakers organization will make it count. He doesnt have to prove anybody anything anymore. He just has to prove himself. Wish him the best.
Even seeing your post here is inspirational, not just in sports but universally. My sports career was prolonged due to ACL and MCL tears, even kept on playing through my injuries not getting surgeries years later because of my passion with sports. I'm recuperated now, playing sports again as a hobby because right now my main focus is changing the world along side with the tremendously revolutionizing Empower Network.
I get chills watching this every single time, even writing this I already have chills and the video hasn't even passed 2 mins yet. I have been watching the Lakers ever since I've got into basketball when I was entering middle school. The lakers got Kobe a couple days before I was born and its just a blessing to witness this guy play with so much heart. My whole body gets chills at the end and I cry. After I watch this I can easily pick up a ball and be by myself for 3+ hours straight no problem.
Kobe.. a true basketball player. Never gave up, never backed down. Loves the game more than any other, and the game loves him back. Majestically talented, phenomenal athlete. Sure there were some downs, but hey, nobody is perfect. We ALL can agree on that. Growing up while watching him on the court was a blessing. I'm looking forward for his return.
every time i watch this video! tears come out of my eyes i am so glad to say i watch all hes career since i was a kid i honestly dont know how i gonna watch basketball after he retires from NBA!!! Legend for ever Bleed Purple and Gold
I'm a 16 year old aspiring basketball player that has game but is afraid to show it. This is the most inspirational video I have ever seen. Its time for me to put my big boy pants on.
I still remember watching that game against the Warriors in April... It was difficult to watch because you could see Kobe is so tired and hurt but still kept going, even when his achilles tenson is fully torn he still managed to stand there and made two big free throws...damn
7/28 in final 24 seconds of playoff games to tie or go ahead, regular season he is 46/155 (29%). Dirk and Pierce are still the most clutch players of his era.
***** Lmao, what about the finals, what about the shots he makes to single-handedly will his team back into a game? Believe this, when Kobe retires, it'll be the end of an era of greatness, and it'll be a sad day for the NBA, not just Laker fans, but fans of basketball, you've to respect his greatness, and LeBron, isn't anywhere near his career yet. But LeBron still has much left in him, you just have to respect his game that's all.
out of all the kobe highlight and best shot and great game videos iv seen on youtube over the years this one was the very best heart of a true champion and kobe's will and dedication to be the very fuckin best at what u do will have him among the great no matter what it is he does in his life #Insperational #NotTheMambasLastGame #HeartOfAChampion
Kobe has showed me to believe in me!! He is to me the perfect example of reaching for dreams and making them happen we are the same age and I'v lived through waching his talent evolve with the Lakers we have enjoyed several championships he made it all happen for him self so we lovr him for it God bless. I remember the draft like it was yesterday. I've always admired his discipline commitment and the ability to focus in the most crucial moments in order to succeed.
The first time I saw basketball period was a Kobe Bryant highlight reel from 2003 when I was 6 years old. His will to win and dominance made me want to play ball. That's why no mather what happens Kobe will ALWAYS be my favorite player!
you sir just have done what I thought impossible, you have become a respectable Heat fan in the eyes of this Lakers & Bulls fan. I tip my hat to you sir.
No one in the league as of today has the fire, determination, strive, will and hungry in trying to achieve excellence in this sport. There is no one else in the league who has put so much time in mastering the skills in becoming a triple threat as well as making an artistry in his shot and post skills. -- Legend is Kobe --
Damn I was 5 years old when Kobe was a rookie and now I'm 22 and he's still going as hard as ever. I cried when he was shooting those free throws at the end because he worked so hard this whole season. It's gonna be very sad when he retires.
Players like Kobe you expect to play forever and never retire. Every generation has their top player. They're like superheroes and you never wanna see him fail because we cherish their hard work and determination. Seeing him retire will be a shock to the world
Show us again :(
This hurts so much.
Kobe just announced his retirement and watching this brought all the feels. Thank you Kobe Bryant, basketball won't be the same without you
+Luis Estevez Yes it did, He inspired me to play this game, and why I love the game. Its been a long journey, 20 years and its time to put it on the rafters.

Your story is eerily similar to mine, only difference was it was 2009 finals for me. Still don't feel real he's gone man

It's a tough pill to swallow.
It's never going to be the same.

It's weird. After Kobe retired, i lost ALL interest in basketball
