I use a 60lb steel leader kinda a light copper wire, a guy I fish with makes bad ass ones he uses like a bucket handle with a small hook and when he makes the loop on the treble hook he places the hooked bucket handle and twists it about 5-8 times and loops it back best held leader I ever used
Great video, I'm trying to determine which is best...7-strand vs single malin strand. Single strand you can't tie like this, you have to do a hay bail twist.
everything but the tag end of the wire on the swivel is fine. You do not want the extremely sharp wire to be pointing up anywhere because it will go right to the bone or gouge you pretty good if you slide your hand along the leader at any point.
That’s a new way of making these rigs. Thought the haywire was the go-to way. This looks easier and cleaner.
