    Can you share a link to that blue jig head with skirt? Great video for the newbie like me.

    What type of rod do you like to use with them ? Light medium tip , or medium. and how far back from the boat is you count? Thanks great video m love the hat too .

      I use a live bait series 7 foot rod. I like the lighter tip because it is easier to keep tension on the fish. But, lots of people use a 6 foot heavier rod. Basically, personally preference. Thank you!

    Awesome video but why not use the haywire knot onto the swivel or is that just going to be overkill for the rig?

      Hi Raymond, the figure 8 knot works great on 7 strand wire. It is simple and quick and I have never had one pull. Thank you for watching!!

    Hi EGF. I quite like the look of your simple set and I’d like to give it a try over my current methods. Just one thing. When you did your last knot/loop on the J Hook eye, did you feed the tag end that has the two trebles through that loop (it sort of looks that way) or did they just get in the way and you had to sort of untangle them? As a query do you know if this will be okay using single strand wire or does all the twisting really require multi strand only? Thanks mate if you can help. Paul 😊

    • @EndGameFishing
      @EndGameFishing  Рік тому

      Hi, you will run the tag end back through the eye after you wrap it 5-6 times…just like the trebles.

      Also, single strand would not work tying the hooks this way. 7 strand works great!

      Thanks mate … and one last query: Are you still using this rig to this day so after a few more years of experience?

    Is there no weight needed at the front of fish? I see other bids where they put lead weight in under the gills of fish .. please let me know as I’m new to this and want to use it on my kayak . TIA

    I still prefer the ol hank brown...the mackahoos will slide up the wire and act as a counterweight when fish shakes there head. Need to secure it so it cant slide up the wire.

    Do you troll those on top water only or do you also use them on a downrigger? Thanks

    • @EndGameFishing
      @EndGameFishing  2 роки тому

      They work great on both. I’m a big fan of downriggers! I plan to post a video on how to use a downrigger as soon as the weather improves. Thank you for watching!

    How fast do you trolling them?

    • @EndGameFishing
      @EndGameFishing  2 роки тому +1

      I troll between 5.5-6.0 Knots. If you use ballyhoo, they look great in the water at that speed.

      Can I use this rig from piers?

  • @justinbrown9921
    @justinbrown9921 2 роки тому

    Do you pull them slow like live bait fishing for kings or faster like trolling for dolphin?

    • @EndGameFishing
      @EndGameFishing  2 роки тому

      I like to cover as much water as I can. I typically troll between 5.5 and 6.0 knots for both Kings and Mahi. Both species are fast so you won’t outrun them!

    How do you rig the sinker ?

    • @EndGameFishing
      @EndGameFishing  Рік тому

      The wire will run straight through the head of the jig. It will be "in line" with the hooks. The J Hook will seat in the jig head. Hope this answers your question. Thank you.

    So don’t u hook up the 2 rear hooks pls

    • @EndGameFishing
      @EndGameFishing  2 роки тому

      You can hook them and I do sometimes. But if I can let them flow free, I typically will because the bait swims better because it is not restricted. Thanks!

      Add Pirate Plugs were a copy of the Bait-O-Matic by Williamson. I guess you don't need to worry about patent violations for fishing lures?
