  • Soul Calibur III mod video. Looking at the title, you may get your hopes up, but unfortunately, this isn't all that exciting; there are four fighting styles in the game's files which aren't used by any characters; of these, three are unplayable, and one is just an incomplete, glitchy version of a fighting style that's already in the game. Sill, I'm sure some people will find it interesting, so here it is.
Special thanks to Ooofmatic of 8wayrun.com for his tutorial on how to mod Soul Calibur III.
Soul Calibur III is owned by Bandai Namco Games Inc.

Misturugi: Sits on invisible horse and wobbles a little.
Taki: Well, at least your stance is correct. Ha.

This calls for SC3's own Cutting Room Floor wiki page. this is hella interesting, especially the 2nd moveset.

Valeria: I'm gonna get you Huali-
    Hualin: *Death stare*
    Valeria:...Uh, Hualin...?
    Hualin: *Death Stare*
Valeria: F*ck it, I'm getting outta here! *suicides*

You're the only UA-camr that doesn't get negative no matter how many requests I make.
You seem to enjoy doing these so you can see how they turn out aswell. Do you enjoy doing this?

Yeah, I definitely enjoy making these videos. It's always fun hearing people's ideas for ending mods (or any other mods for that matter), so I'm perfectly happy doing requests for people.

The gruelling battle ended with a victory of Hualin

Late bump but the "prototype Revenant" moveset is also a CotS moveset and used for the Bandit class.

Interesting did not expect there to be prototype styles in the files still

A bit late, I know, but I was wondering if you knew what happens if you were to give someone the "sitting on invisible horse" stance but gave them the horse texture for a weapon? Would the horse stop glitching out and return to its intended form and appear under the character?

Oh interesting. At least for Lizardman, that uppercut shield attack really reminds me from SC 1 and SC 2. Didnt know these were in here, but still cool nonetheless

Yeah, and his weapon transferring into his right hand for his attacks is also similar to Lizardman holding his sword in his right hand in SC1 and SC2. It seems that they were either going to originally give Aeon the SC2 Lizardman moveset, or the generic Lizardmen were going to have their own moveset rather than using Aeon's.

Interesting. Aeon's moves remind me of some of his attacks in SC1 and of the lizardmen in SC2. A work in progress moveset, perhaps?

Yeah, that would make sense, especially since his axe transitions into his right hand for the attacks, and Lizardman was right-handed in SC2. My guess is that the generic Lizardman was originally going to have its own move set rather than just using Aeon's, but it was scrapped for whatever reason.

Surely a style which fucks up your entire game is the most powerful?

Is it a thing of the game or a side effect of the mods that the speech of the announcer doesn't flow at all?

    • @hatsunemikusleftnostril
      @hatsunemikusleftnostril 3 роки тому +2

Just the game itself. The names of each character were recorded separately from the "The grueling battle ended with the victory of __" and the "__ wins" lines.
The game basically uses the same file for the announcer's speech and then adds in the file of the announcer saying the character's name. They're two separate clips in one phrase, so it will obviously sound unnatural.
By Soulcalibur 4, they eventually stopped having the announcer say the names of the characters entirely (mostly because of the significant expansions made to the character creation mode).
I'm writing this comment late at night so I hope it makes sense, lol

@@hatsunemikusleftnostril It does make sense! having only played 2, 4, 5 and a little bit of 6 I jsut hadn't any personal experiences. kinda surprised they just went with "well, it doesn't flow, but who cares" xD
