Fernandel was my absolute favorite actor in my childhood. I loved his "Don Camillo" films. If it was on TV, I would be sitting there watching, that was for sure! His facial expressions, his smile, unique and hilarious. And these films always had a great message, at least that's how I remember it. I should watch these films again!

One of my favourite is "La vache et le prisonnier" (which could be amusingly be translated as "the cow and the pow" - as prisonner of war). Which tells the story of a French man prisonner of war in a farm Germany who escapes the farm with a cow. It's an absolute classic of French cinema. I should watch it again ! If this films exists with english subs, you should take a look.
