Has there been a year where someone doesn't get bodied at the hairpin? That corner looks wild especially with low downforce cars lol.
2019, Holden teams cried when all 6 Fords were in the top 10 and the category quickly made changes to the Mustang body work, so far in 2023 back marker teams MSR, team Sydney and BJR have all of their drivers as top 10 and front runners and apparently everything is normal, nothing to see here 😂
BJR had a driver in the top 10 every year for the last 10 years.
I race these cars in production form all the time, in that form the Camaro's are a much better car, better engine, better chassis, better body, much more durable, it has got to be very hard for them to level the playing field with Ford being so far behind, in most other series they start by giving them the Chevy engine, and go from there, personally I'm sick of that, Ford needs to get to work.
As long as 888 and Roland are pulling the strings nothing will change …..sad.
Got to wonder about DJR, arent they meant to be the factory team and yet theyre nowhere even when compared to the other Fords. Starting from 20th and 22nd just makes your day incredibly hard.
Nothing has changed in 50 years.
Very quiet on the parity issue lately.
I stopped watching a long time ago.
This year seems to he a bigger V8 SuperScam.
Ford should look to race elsewhere.

Most Ozzies and Kiwis grew up with Australian made or English cars even Japanese so have no direct link to American cars they were around in both countries but in small numbers it really should be called 'Transam' like in the U.S as they are American cars. V8 Supercars was always an Ozy thing. Just my opinion guy
Australia already has a TransAm series.
Supercars was an Aussie thing. Aussies don't make cars anymore. TCR is the smaller option, so It was either wrap up the series or keep it going in some other guise.
Or bring back Australian Touring Car Championship as official series.
The series is currently dead but title is still alive and awarded for Supercars champions too.
It makes more sense than naming it Supercars. It's still ridiculous how they keeping it just because of rule they introduced to bring non-V8 cars back then.

Aside from some parity tweaks, I think these cars are cool and retain the spirit of the previous gen. Considering most other series seem to have ended up as GT3 clones, we're lucky we've still got some edge to these cars.
GT3 cars would just be so much better

On a small screen it's bloody hard to recognise which marque your looking at, so I ended up not caring. And the commentators & scorecard didn't help. Did you forget what the supercars were supposed to be about?

the track looks too narrow for the size of a Gen 3 car which looks bigger than last year's car it will be very difficult to overtake for every driver on this track.

Oi ups Aussie V8 Supercars homies you know the Nurburgring Lap times for the Holden VF Commodore SS Ute is an Incredible time of 8 minutes and 19.47 seconds where as the ZL1 1LE Camaro is 7 minutes 19.04 seconds yuh😃.

After a few rounds to give it a chance, ive come to the conclusion this is way worse than the old cars. They look like GT4 cars, not even the cool.ones from Europe, but the disgusting American ones. The only American I remember in Australia was the 300C. It's a little upsetting. This is not good at all.
I don't think they build any cars in Australia, the American V8 has been the most successful automotive engine ever produced, and the most successful race engine ever produced, I think that's how we wound up here, I like this series because Ford has to use their own engine, all other series they get the Chevy engine, I think that's what they are trying to do here.

They're trying, the Chevy engine is a superior design, Ford just can't make as much power and stay together, that's why in all other racing series they just gave Ford the Chevy engine, Ford needs to build a better engine, in all series they are always putting limits on the GM entries, other car companies have got to build better engines or get use to loosing, I'm sick of the limitations or the other alternative, Chevy for all.
@@user-Dr. The Ford engine is running an inlet restrictor costing it 30 HP, this was done to bring it down to the power level of the Chev engine. It is very well documented. The Gen 3 spec Ford engine is being run in another category without the restrictor or reliability issues.

I'd rather watch a series dedicated to 4 bangers getting around the track, than what this has turned into.
At least then, you'd see every day cars that people could relate to and afford e.g. a toyota corolla, hyundai, kia, nissan, etc.

From what I read, supercars asked ford to supply the category with engines and Ford clearly stated they will NOT supply the GM teams.
