Great advices on things that I always took in consideration, but really making a point of the whole situation here in a neat and clear way. I really can't wait for your next video on how to paint bases like this. I have a technique of my own that I've been using for a lot of time, with enamels and inks, and contrast paints starting from an airbrush zenithal priming (white ink) , but I'm not completely satisfied. I feel like I'm missing something. You definitely have the answer I'm waiting for! By the way, just subscribed for 3 months to the Compendium. I'll finally binge watch all the tutorials I lost along the way while painting my pile of grimdark, apocalyptic stuff. You, among other great artists on Instagram, were the reason I came back to miniature paint. And I'm happier than ever. So you deserve all the support! Can't wait for bases, part 3. Hey was just wondering if you could do a tutorial or grimdark version of the chaos legion night lords ? im really wanting to adopt the style for my night lords rather than the box art standard and would be a great video idea to watch, keep up the content my dude
Any tips on how to paint Archaon in the grimdark style? I want to keep his three headed mount with red, blue, and green heads but this style doesn’t lend itself well to a colorful palette. Have a video or anything that might help?
I have painted an Archaon in the past but didn't take videos on it. Using color in the grimdark style isn't something I would shy away from. You just want it to look like real. A three headed beast would be disturbing to face in reality. If you can imagine that then you should be able to translate it through painting. Although there is no video that specifically covers Archaon, there are a plethora of video that you use to learn from on the Compendium.
