  • We take the Yelapa & Majahuitas: Beach, Snorkeling & Waterfall tour
    in Puerto Vallarta. It was $90 onboard. It was pretty fun. It included foo & drinks.
    The waterfall was the high point, not the snorkeling.
    This was recorded in January 2022.

    The best Puerto Vallarta video yet. Wow, that waterfall and those colors walking through town! I always love checking to see if there are new Port Monkeys videos. Thanks!

    Great video with so much info. We're going on the Panorama again in 12 days🎉🎉. I can't wait for the skyride and waterslides.

    I love your videos! We should be there in January 2023 on the Emerald Princess on a 15 day Panama Canal. Gives me a good idea on what to do, hopefully.

      We did a 15 day Panama Canal cruise on the Emerald Princess in 2019 (it was actually a 31 day Barcelona to Los Angeles). It was our last cruise before covid struck. We have videos on our channel of all the ports, including the canal transit: Cartagena, Fuerte Amador, Puntarenas, Huatulco. Thanks for your comments and thanks for subscribing to our channel.

    How long did you get to stay at majauitas? Was there an option to swim at yelapa? What was the last beach you were lounging at and for how long? I’m considering this excursion with my kids 6,4, and 2. Thank you

      We remember staying at each place for about an hour. We did Majahuitas first. We snorkeled, and then swam to the beach. But with children, it may be an issue. In Yelapa we walked to the waterfall, and then they took us in a small motor boat to the beach. You should ask onboard. Thank you for your comments and thank you for subscribing to our channel.

    We did that excursion back in September. My parents were a little grossed out by yelapas. I guess they just had a huge storm and all the run off was going in to the little bay. When my parents went on the waterfall hike they smelled a lot of urine. They believed that all the run off was mostly sewage. Yelapas doesn’t have a sewage system and everyone has sisterns. It’s hard to say. I had a great time and the water was so warm. My kids loved it. I don’t know if I’d recommend Yelapas. I’d hate to recommend it and someone else sees sewage

      We don’t recommend tours. We just say how we liked them. We liked the tour, but it wasn’t great. We didn’t see any sewage, we don’t think. Thank you for your comments and thank you for subscribing to our channel.

    Thanks for the video!!! I’m thinking about taking the Panorama or a Princess ship to Mexico any suggestions?

      We love Princess! Have never had a bad trip!

      We too love Princess. They are our favorite because of the participatory activities like games, dancing classes, sports competitions, craft classes, shows and other activities. There are very few kids compared to Carnival and the people seen to be better behaved🤣. Carnival Panorama has 2 waterslides, skyride and a ropes course. All three are fun. Carnival is more cost effective.

    • @PortMonkeys
      @PortMonkeys  2 роки тому +1

      Both! The comments already made are correct. Carnival is noisier with more children, but more things to do onboard. Princess is quieter with activities for adults. We like both and have sailed on each about 15 times. The Carnival Panorama is a beautiful ship along with the Discovery Princess. On our UA-cam channel we have tours of many of the ships that sail out of Los Angeles, including Royal Caribbean. Thanks for your comments and thanks for subscribing to our channel.

    Do you know when is the best time for the waterfall? When is dry season?

    • @PortMonkeys
      @PortMonkeys  Рік тому +1

      February through May are the dry months in Puerto Vallarta according to the Internet. Thank you for your comments and thank you for subscribing to our channel.

    Can you please tell me if you have to bring your own snorkle gear leaving in 6 days for this adventure thank you!

    • @PortMonkeys
      @PortMonkeys  Рік тому +1

      For this tour they supply the snorkel gear. If you want to go snorkel at the beach in Cabo San Lucas, you need to bring your own. Thank you for your comments and thank you for subscribing to our channel.
