I enjoyed your Puerto day. I recognized all the downtown stuff that you saw, the statues, the dancing Mayans, the church. The place I went for lunch & the tequila tasting was right there near that church. I hate it since you LOVE THEATER that you didn't get to see the drama at the tasting place that I went. Lunch looked almost the same - a taco buffet, with 3 choices, then when they still had left-over food they opened it up to "finish it off". All the sauces were so good. Offered a rum drink or beer or soda with the lunch. Loved it. I saw them painting the pix I too have so many water color paintings done all over!! If you do go back to stay there a few days - be sure & go to the show that I went to. I loved driving way out to the countryside like you did but my tasting was a bit "fancier" - served with water, crackers & cheese to accommodate the perfect drink. That REALLY old almond flavor was such a nice after-dinner sipping tequila. I hope your weather is good the next 2 days...I saw where the front was reaching way down into Baja. Sorry it will ruin your sunshine but hopefully won't be too rockin' & rollin'! Thanks for taking me along. I'll be on Discovery on 3/9 going the California route, down to San Diego & Ensenada after doing San Fran & Monterrey. Gonna try staying up & going to some of these crazy games. Hugs (((())))

PV is another one of my favorite ports. I did this excursion on the Discovery Princess inaugural sailing so your video brings back wonderful memories. I LOVE reposado tequila. Glad you enjoyed the tour!
Reposado was SO good! We definitely brought home a bottle of that for us!
This vlog series on Discorey has been the most awesome of serendipities. My husband and I are ex-Alaskans and are booked on this ship and the same itenerary for early Dec. High quality tequila is a totally different drink. I got to try it once a few years ago and my mind was blown, its so flavorful. This coming from someone who does not drink hard liquor straight
We were shocked at the difference between really good high quality tequila! Who knew that we are tequila fans!

We did a very similar tour / excursion with Royal when we went to Ensenada. The tequila place was very familiar.. we had those same flavors. We did bring some home. We had to go to 1/2 shots after the first 2. Looks like you guys enjoyed it as much as we did.
Ooooh! I think I saw that somewhere his company does the tour in Ensenada too, so maybe it was the same! So fun!
You were right on, people thinking that Mexico is really bad to travel to as my home country. I don’t think that Puerto Vallarta is on my bucket list to visit. including Cabo.

Your tour guide told the same as ours about safety and coming to puerto Vallarta. We were there in 2016 and 2018. We did private tour that wasn’t planned in 2016 with our group of 8 and had a great time with tequila tasting and lunch. So we booked the same guy for the next time and he brought us back to the tequila. I didn’t know there were so many different sorts. And that I would like it. But we ended up with 2 bottles. One was a coffee taste and I don’t know the other one. But they were delicious. Hope you enjoyed your tequila also.
I truly enjoyed this video so much, now I want to go to Mexico. I've been to Cozumel and Cancun but never where you have been but now it's on my bucket list LOL Great video. I've never had Tequila and my husband and I are pretty much
non drinkers but I think it would be a disservice of we went on that cruise NOT to try it.

Just found your channel and binge watched the Mexican riviera series as we're booked on the same itinerary/ship for spring break next year...😊 Two questions-what shore excursion would you recommend in Cabo. I know you just walked around this time, but what would you do next time? Also, what was the name of the tequila factory you visited in Puerto Vallarta? Awesome! Puerto Vallarta is such a great place. The tequila is so good! We always stock up. The last time we were there we got a taxi and asked him to take us to one of the places. While I have been to the one you went to, we went to a different one this time. The silver is by far my favorite. We also got a coconut one that was amazing! Oh, next time you have to get some chocolate! It is native to Mexico and is so good! Happy that you had a great day!
Ooooh, coconut sounds so good! We got: Silver, Reposado, Coffee, Almond, and then 2 small sample packs as gifts for people
Excellent choices!! My wife loves the coffee one with Kailua. I like the coconut with pineapple juice. Yumm!

How do you bring alcohol back on the ship.
When we got back on the ship in Puerto Vallarta there was a table on the ship we checked out alcohol at. They took the bags and marked them and then delivered them to our stateroom the day before we got off the ship.
Do these little shops take credit cards or do you need to carry cash?
Good question! We found many places did take cards, but some of the smaller vendors only took cash, so we were glad we had some cash on us!
That's a lot of shots, I would throw up with the first one. I can't do shots 🤮
