I have a TnT125 for about a month now and i have to say it is an awesome city bike. Consuming traffic like a breeze, and the thing i like the most is that she is small but not that small, which is a very big plus for me :) She has a good exhaust note, although i'll try to make it louder soon, and imo a very good design all around. For the money i think it is a no brainer! I'm very happy with mine!
Before you buy a Honda grom read the reviews , I've just got a new 2020 and the frame is going rusty with only 127 miles on the bike kept in a dry shed , Honda are being very unhelpful and hunts in Manchester dont want to know , I've given them 14 days and then I will let the court decide, I'm not paying for a new bike to go rusty in a couple of months seems it's a common problem , Be warned before you buy .
Fast forward two years the binelli is a 135cc in the US and aftermarket parts are all over making the binelli the better choice by far where the grom will run you 4600 out the door and binelli 2499. It’s a no brained.
nice review..I would take the Honda but here in Denmark where I live, the price is just way to high, I can buy 2 benelli's for the same money or buy 1 TNT and tuning.
Having owned 2 groms from the beginning and now the Benelli i find it a bit biased towards the Honda, i find the Benelli better suspended, more comfy, better handling on the roads with more stuff on as standard and much cheaper to buy, maybe do a review after a few weeks using them daily in all conditions then give another review.
The Benelli is a great bike, but riding them back to back I reckon the MSX has the edge in handling, mainly thanks to its lower CoG. Having said that, it's incredible value for money, and what Chris and I found is purely our opinion. You're certainly not wrong - the TNT is brilliant. This video was only meant as light-hearted summing up - here's the full review. John www.bennetts.co.uk/bikesocial/reviews/bikes/benelli/video-road-test-benelli-tnt-125-2017-stunts-and-review
I put a lower handle bar on my Grom and it made a huge difference to me personally, we do not get the Benelli here in the US yet but hope someday to ride one.
Need more insurance companies to have this bike on their systems, finding insurance was a pain... Other than that the bike is cracking good fun. Previous comment hits it on the head, the looks are a huge part in buying this versus the Honda which IMO looks worse than when it first came out. I've put about 1200 miles on and the only thing wrong so far is a gear selector peddle, the bolt keeps loosening off. Still love the bike, excellent choice for a 125cc machine.
I am goint to test out a TNT 125 tomorrow, and here in Denmark the benelli is actually excatly half the price of an MSX 125. so I dont think i will bother trying one out. and since i am probably adding it to my already full garage (3 bikes) i will only be using it for the giggles anyway. im looking forward to having fun on it :-)
I've tried both. I was impressed by the tnt performance, it looks torquey and wheelies on 1st gear are easy. On the other hand on corners the bn feels more planted but trying to wheelie the bn is a pain in the neck. Maybe it is because the bn weights 25 kg more.
Ok. I like the benelli, but i absolutely hate the fake exhaust on the side.To make it worse the real exhaust pipe is tiny and painted black then ran underneath to hide it.They really need to change that. Here in the US we love the grom.People are all about doing performance mods and custom parts .I would pick the grom
@@MateoHernandez-se2uv It would have been interesting, but we wanted to keep it comparable. The 135 is no longer available in the UK, and the 150 isn't here either.
With these two it really comes down to how much mony do you want to spend, how much customisation do you want, and how fast will you be going? The TNT is much cheaper, so wins the budget, The Grom has magnitudes more custom support, so wins that round finally speed. This is really important because the two bike take totally different attitudes to engine tuning. They're both 125's but one (the TNT) is set up for max power, and the other (Grom) is set up for low down torque. The TNT is a little bit over a "standard" 125 tune - it's not a sport bike, but makes 11hp up at just under 10k RPMS, which is good for top speed. However that means peak torque is smaller and higher up the rev range than the grom, delivering 7.1lbft at 7k rpm. The grom is actually set up completely for low down toque making just 9.6hp at only 7k RPM's, which is really low for any 125. HOWEVER, there's method in the madness - it makes low power because it's a low end torque monster for a 125, making 8lbft at just 5.5k rpm, which is pretty unheard of for 125's on sale today. Stick that with little wheels and barely any weight, and you've got a lot of fun at low speed. Basically Honda have used an engine set up that sacrifices top end for low RPM fun, and Beneli have gone the more traditional route. So, if you need the top end, get the TNT, but if you'll just be enjoying your bike under 50mph, get the grom... but keep in mind you're talking tiny real wolrd differences
With all respect but.. I'm sick of all this "safe and controlled environment" shit. It's everywhere.. I actually started to avoid safety features, just to act against it. Speed bumps everywhere, even where it makes no sense, all those safety rules, policies, speed cameras.. Push it a bit more and I'm gonna puke all over it.
@@bennettsbikesocial hehe as soon as I heard the "safe and controlled environment" bit I started to comment and wasn't interested in the rest of it ;) I will watch it now :D
@@bennettsbikesocial heh, yeah. I love the "it had abs and then we fixed it" bit ;) All I said previously stays on mate. It wasn't really about the video. Its not a piece of crap. We have the 135 in the states and it beats the grom hands down. Bigger engine, oil cooled, five speed, an actual oil filter, way better suspension. Cat delete pipe is way cheaper than an entire system. Its a grom killer.

Combined brakes should be banned.
10000% agree
ScrewCaptain27 if a rider is incapable of operating front and rear brakes independently... they need to get back to texting in their cage...
It's because by law bikes must have abs that's the cheap way round it
Easily defeated
'Im on some wet leaves so Ill just use the rear brake' - front locks up, on the ground.
Just got the benelli tnt 125 it's amazing :D.
Awesome!
get the Benelli....you'll enjoy it much more.
I bought the Honda. John
lol same here got the beneli 2 weeks ago and its amazing
And the TNT is 400£ cheaper in DK! And that's including skyhigh danish reg.tax.
