    Side, does this interface really have a low noise floor? Do you ever hear noise when recording with it? Thanks.

      It’s pretty much what you have in the specs - very very low. All of my expensive mics have more noise.

      Hi Maar, yes, the line output is very, very good, probably best in class. As for the headphones you need to try, it performs differently depending on the impedance.

    Good video, to the point. Did you ever tried sending the ID14's 3/4 outs to an external effects processor and the returns from the effects to one of the Behringer's input?

    • @pace_of_mind
      @pace_of_mind  11 місяців тому +1

      Not exactly 3/4, but yes, it’s possible. What’s your worry? Delay?

      @LucasTsolakian 11 місяців тому +1

      @@pace_of_mind Yes delay, increase latency maybe. I have an ID14 and love it, in fact I have two ID14's: one at home and another at work. I'm about to get the ADA8200 and trying to figure out the possibilities. Thanks for taking the time to answer, appreciated.

      @@LucasTsolakian when I was recording my band members, I was sending click via outputs and tracking inputs via adat interface as well as the onboard XLR inputs, can't recall there was an audible delay. Standard interface delay is corrected via DAW settings... ADAT interface is in sync with id14 via clock.

    Thanks for this. It's really helpful. I'm thinking of picking one up, and wondered if you knew how it compared to the UA Volt 4 interface. They are the same price and I do like that the Volt has a MIDI interface. So curious if you are still using the ID14 MkII as well.

    • @pace_of_mind

      Thanks for watching the video! Both of them are in the same price range and have similar specs. Personally, I value ADAT interface over a MIDI interface that you cab buy separately as a $10 usb dongle :-)

    Is it ppssible to plug 2 headphones simultaneous?
    Lets say I want to record my buddy who is singing, he uses a headphone and I also want to hear his voice with my own headphone.
    Both headphone plug to the audio interface

    • @pace_of_mind

      Hey Selumiel, thanks for the question! I actually never tried it before you asked :-) I just plugged in two different headphones to the two phone jacks and both are working! But the loudness was different because I used two different headphones. So yes, it does work, but you won't be able to adjust the volume independently and you need to either use the same type of headphones, or check the impedance and sensitivity to match the volume.

    Have you tried low impedance headphones with it? My DT 900 Pro X (48 Ohms) sounds terrible with this interface (compared to when directly connected to my MBP headphone jack, which sounds fantastic).

    • @pace_of_mind
      @pace_of_mind  6 місяців тому +1

      Hi Ramtin! I’ve only tried low quality headphones like Apple Earbuds (40 Ohm I guess) and I didn’t notice much difference so I can’t add much. What I do know is that MBP has a circuit that adopts the RMS voltage depending on the load which might improve the sound.

    Hi! Can you help me with some doubts? I just got this interface set up but the speaker output is very low (have to max it to have decent volume) i conect the 1/2 to my sub and from my sub to the speakers, both have low/hi pass filters. What could be the problem?

    • @pace_of_mind
      @pace_of_mind  3 місяці тому

      Hi! Hard to tell what's the issue is, I'm sending 1/2 directly to the speakers and another 1/2 from the output 3 to the sub. Maybe you could try to connect the speakers directly just to test? Another idea, the outputs of the interface are balanced (TRS), depending on your speakers you either need TRS-TRS cable, or TS-TS cable.

    I am getting into voice over soon ..I need to get good interface that I hope last for years .. do you suggest id14 after using it ? Are you satisfied with it's quality? Does it sound professional? I head that there are reliability problems with audient id interfaces after a year or two? And a compatibility problems with windows? So what do you suggest for professional interface until 400$? I really need your advice

    • @pace_of_mind
      @pace_of_mind  9 місяців тому

      Hi Karim! I think id14 or even id4 will be more than enough to record voiceovers, in fact I would suggest investing more money in the microphone and acoustic treatment of your room than in the interface. As far as reliability goes, I've been using the id14 mk1 for a couple of years now and haven't had any problems, so I can definitely recommend it.

    Yeah, love mine because of what it offers for such a price, my only issue with it is that it doesnt turn off when I turn my laptop off, I always have to unplug the cable AND EVEN before that, first I have to unplug the headphones so that there's no damage occurance to my beloved HD600s. Then when I want to use it, I connect first the cable to the laptop and then I insert the headphones. Do you also do this or you leave it powered on 24/7?

      Hey Robson, thanks for the video! I have my headphones connected to the interface all the time and almost every night I unplug the interface from my laptop to take it with me and watch movies/UA-cam. Sometimes I leave it plugged in and have never had a problem either way.

    • @liamquinn
      @liamquinn 3 місяці тому

      Hi Robson, that is an issue with your laptop not turning the usb ports on on power off, any usb audio interface would have this issue. However if it is a windows pc this is usually something you can turn off in your BIOS, depending on your computer so you might be able to change the settings. Mac might have a setting too

      I'm pretty sure the interface will do great if host device is properly grounded.
