Scott, you took me right back to the early '60s; sitting in Great Aunt Ruthie's Indianapolis kitchen nook, the percolator a-percolatin', the coffee aroma mingling with the freshly toasted bread early Sunday morning before church. THANK YOU!
The marigold Jeanette flower vase would be lovely with a tealight in it. The kind with the metal on the candle to protect the glass from wax. The candle light would reflect beautifully!
Just watched year old video, the autumn show!!! The percolator was cool, hope to find one some day!!! The Italian glass large vase, as u said if u saw it in person in bright sunlight, you would be speechless from its beauty!!! Saw the cat! 💞💞🙃💞💞
Love that carnival glass piece! Even on an overcast day, it still reflects light and looks beautiful! And that vintage percolator definitely made me recall many wonderful childhood memories at my grandmother's house. Granted, I'm a tea drinker, but that perking sound is so innately tied to my childhood. I actually looked forward to when she would brew a pot of coffee just to hear that sound. It was very soothing to hear and would even lull me to sleep.
You really took me back to those simpler times in my life as a young girl growing up and smelling the coffee brewing, whether at my grandfather's home in Mississippi or my mom's house in Kansas City. You never forget the smell of a good up of coffee brewing. Thanks, Scott for taking me back down memory lane.
What an incredibly gorgeous Fall sale, Scott!! I could literally take 1 of everything - love it all! ❤ Thanks for giving me Fall Fever!!!! Hope you have a great weekend xo
I can't believe you had the flying Mallard sets there. They were hugely popular in the 1960's in England. In a soap opera called Coronation St they were in one of the houses in the programme and were so popular.
When I was at Safeway the other day, I saw candy corn and thought of you. A friend just gave me an amber color Indianna Glass hen on nest. All the best Scott. 😊
What an awesome haul! You're making me feel very festive. My mom and grandma had those percolators, as well as did I when I received one for a wedding gift. But they used stove top percs most of the time. Mom had a Corning Ware with a fruit & nuts design on front. Made great coffee, wish I had it now. But grandma always used an aluminum ( I assume) pot. I loved that sound 🥰 Do you remember the old Maxwell House commercial with the the pot starting to perk & the cute little perking tune. I'm just a little older than you, so you may not be able to remember it. If not, you ought to look it up on UA-cam. I think it would be right up your alley.
Love the old glassware in orange amber and that iridescent Brown for fall. A beautiful warm gray or steel blue tablecloth would make these pop. Love candy corn 🍁☺️
Beautiful!!! The gold cream and sugar would be FANTASTIC at Christmas too!! The Italian vase is a true treasure; wonderful any time of year!!! Enjoy that fall mix...throw in some salted peanuts and live it up!!!😄👍👍👍👍❣
The art glass vase is delicate. The small one.The big one is incredible. Both look like feathers in different ways.Ah pulled feathers, just heard you say it.Missed that first time round.
Candy corn already?! What next? ... miniature Hershey's! (because we live in PA!!) (remember full size bars!) Made it to Myrtle Beach with kids! Hope you got to your famous Jersey Shore!! You deserve it with all your videos! Loved this one, however it can't be almost September! My grandmother always said she drank coffee as a young girl. Always thought she was kidding me! Take care, watch the rain next couple days!
I love the fact that your memory was so specific! Isn't it nice when you see an item and you know exactly what Mom or Aunt put in that dish or bowl? Wonderful sentiment!
Ahhh the colored glass in Fall warm colors with the light shining through…. Magic! Love love love that candy dish and who doesn’t love candy corn! Still Summertime hot here in California but you sure do make me long for cool breezes and fairy lights and hot toddies. Autumn is just around the corner. Great collection of vintage glass.-frannie
Scott, after stirring your coffee...hold the tip of the spoon bowl against the rim of the cup. Wicks the moisture off so it won't puddle on saucer or table. Just a little tip. 😊😸
So many pretties!!! I have those same fostoria candlesticks and the matching console bowl in amber. They look amazing on my fall table. I want that murano glass vase. I hope I'm lucky this time.
It is wonderful. I have the top floor apartment and so much lovely natural light. All of my glass sparkles in the sunlight. I do have to go back to my last place and see if any mail has come for me. I never received your package before I moved.
Every item is BEAUTIFUL! 🍁 Great video! I really liked info on how to make coffee in the percolator. Parents just boiled water in a pan on the stove. Sooo...that was cool! Thank you...🌻🍃🍁
This was so fun..I watch you at night so I crave coffee all night...I look forward to my morning coffee even more. Lol ! Good night y’all!! From The heart of Texas..
Scott, I agree with so many other comments: So happy to think autumn and your haul put me in the mood. All of your items are great but I especially like the owl bookends since I do collect bookends and have bought some in the past from you.
Love the window sill walkthroughs. My favorites are the Uranium Coffee cup, the Beautiful Japanese Creamer and Sugar What beautiful colors, the beautiful Carnival glass Opak Cherry bowl absolutely beautiful, also the Beautiful Tall Art Glass vase the Beautiful brown and white colors. And funaly the Italian art Glass vase absolutely beautiful. And that coffee pot I learned how to make percolate coffee on our gas stove. I admitt I can make a very good pot of coffee. But now I cheat I there is just me so I use my Keyrig. Thank You for sharing that wonderful collection. Please Stay Safe,Happy and Healthy. Have A Wonderful Day
What a fine autumn display you have today! Love that huge art glass vase with all the colors and the lovely carnival glass dish! Love the old percolater!
Very nice haul Scott!! Your coffee cup looks very similar to one my father used to drink his coffee from. I remember it being a sort of burgundy/maroon color ☺️. Looking forward to autumn weather 🍁😊.
When I lived on the Widener college campusI was told by an elderly neighbor that Widener college in 1892 was called PMC for Pennsylvania military College in 1972 the name was changed to Widener college interesting to see the PMC also stands for Philadelphia manufacturing company those owl bookends are beautiful 🦉
Yes, going shopping across the Delaware Bridge into Easton and Pomeroy. I believe they used the system of sending payments through a pneumatic tube system. After crossing back over the bridge and a mandatory stop at Jimmie's for dogs with everything. Yum. Great selection for the fall!
It is still hot here in the Texas Panhandle, but our high school team played (and won!) last night, and dove season starts this week, so despite the calendar, fall is here. I love cranberry and amber together. It looks lush and cozy.
Hello Scott! I just saw you have Massive flooding in Philly, and wondered if you and your friends are ok?? I surely hope so!!🥺 This is so CRAZY...Hurricanes, fires, flooding, Covid...WOW. So many people hurting just now. Hope You are well!!👍👍👍❣
Love it, love it, love it! I'm so ready for Fall. I love the Ber months :) I want so many of these things lol Yas! Bring on the harvest mix. Mmm mmm. That black glass filled with some orange flowers or some black and deep red roses for a gothic romance look for Halloween.
That cream and sugar set you showed was beautiful. The shapes are exactly like my set from Harmony House, Wembley pattern. Wish mine had the nice tray yours does.
Scott, Thinking of you this week and your beloved New Jersey. Hoping you and you loved ones are safe. Wasn't sure how to send you a message but just wanted to wish you well.
So many wonderful treasures here! I have to say I am disappointed that I don't see the pheasants you were going to list in this Autumn sale. Maybe a surprise later?
I love the multicolored glass vase…was wondering how the small pitchers fit into the cereal boxes…I remember those percolators….like everything you show
My Mom and Aunt Betty both had a amber Hen on Nest that took center stage on the living room coffee table. Momma's sat on a pretty crocheted doily that her Mother gave her when she married.
That Jeanette crackle candy jar is amazing. I remember older dealers ascribing stain glass window motif to that pattern. They didn’t win out in renaming that pattern though. Just caused me confusion. I wanted it called mosaic. I always wondered if there were hidden designs in it, just like cleaver woodworkers hid hearts, flowers, and birds. Too much candy corn caused me to go cuckoo. Eat more pumpkin pie to balance and deter fall dementia. You have been gathering that harvest right under our noses. Sneaky. Thanks.
