Wonderful video for a snowy afternoon 😊 Thank you for sharing your trip to Lancaster (my father lived right across from Shady Maple for many years), always a great place for finding antiques and charming, well loved items. Hope you and Salem are staying warm & having a nice Sunday - love to you both xo
I love watching your videos. My Mom used to visit elderly people and help them in their homes back in the ‘70’s. She would take us along and it gave me an appreciation for older folks and the antiques they had in their homes. My Mom also had a few antiques in our home. I prefer used than new. My favorites are anywhere from the turn of the century to the ‘60’s. Thanks for sharing so many wonderful things including the music and ads!
Thank you, I enjoyed the music... and the shop, waiting for you to stop at the china, but not today. I saw a beautiful pink transferware plate that would have come home with me for sure! The countryside was lovely and so flat... Watching from Australia 👍🦘
This was great!!! I shopped at my leisure and spent NO money!!! 2 years ago our "Golden Nuggets" ( our oldsters) at Church came on a big bus to Lancaster County. It was the BEST!!! We ate, we shopped, we toured AND we went to SIGHT AND SOUND and saw their majestic production JESUS!!! We had a tour bus full and we had a great time! This past Saturday night I watched NOAH on TBN. I would much rather see it live, but it was good. Beautiful area. Oh I did love your music and. Old commercials💖👵🦋 Thank you.
Love you new twist on you trips and the mix of music the old and new is nice pace, you don't always have to talk the view is just fine how ever you like to take us all with you is good with me great trip, will catch you again later
My favorite and noteworthy picks in this video... 1. the phonograph record at 7:00 2. the Edison wax cylinder at 9:15 3. the Hawaiian shirts at 10:45 4. the Mason jars of clothespins at 15:15 5. the plush rabbits at 22:00 6. the radio commercial for Fire King tableware at 26:00 The footage at the end of the farmland in Lancaster was quite lovely too!
I really enjoyed that..it has been too long since I have gone to Lancaster. When I saw the bunny puppet,I thought of Captain Kangaroo. I really liked your shoes.
Scott, I am just catching up with you from over a year ago....but this was lotsa fun!! My childhood flashing before my eyes; and then a tour of my fifth great grandparents' homeland in Lancaster County! Loved the music by the way...brought back memories, too. You are a blessing to lots of us "?kitchen ladies?" LOL!
What a wonderful video! I missed your commentary, but the music made up for it. I would bankrupt myself in a place like that. As you went up the stairs, I thought, "Oh, my knees!" The countryside is beautiful. I was straining to see what crops they had grown (I am a country girl, after all.)
The Christmas village stuff reminds me of hubs’ grandmother. She had an ENORMOUS village set up in a room at all times. Wonderful to see. When she passed, each and every family member got a building. I love homemaking and got a sweet house. My son loves to read and got a library. My daughter, young at the time, got a toy store. One of the great grandkids always thought of money making schemes and got a bank! Hahaha. I don’t know who got the jail but I remember someone gave her a bar and she immediately set to work finding that jail because she said if she had a bar, she needed a jailhouse.
Hi Scott! I love old family pictures! And I see the resemblance here and there in you! 🤗 My daughter lives in Akron, Ohio and she said the same thing regarding the weather. Snow starting Sunday , for next three days. The temp there is 12 degrees. Too cold for me! It’s 48 here in North Augusta, S. Carolina and raining. That’s the weather report! 😆
I really enjoyed this vid. When you got to the case @ 15:31, I kept saying- go slower! Show the the top shelf! I wanna see the the top shelf! 😉 Also, I had to stop the vid and go back to @ 29:26 to see the laundry hanging on the line! 😂 🙋🏽♀️
$12 seems to be the go to price. Loved the womens high button shoes. I may have splurged after attempting to negotiate. Can’t help myself. My buds used to take me shopping when they were making furniture purchases. I would negotiate on their behalf. Went to Goodwill today. Yellow tags were half price. This is first day. Didn’t see one single yellow tag. Spent $2 on a shower rack for soap, shampoo etc. It was new and I needed a new one. I was pleased about that. Won’t be going back any time soon.
Very fun just for a change...though we love your stories and info.. What a shock..I had that octopus...exact one...lol...first memory of it right here.
Scott, I enjoy the old music and wonder how you can do it without a copyright infringement. I would enjoy seeing you and the Antique Nomad shopping together or just talking antiques as I think the two of you are the most knowledgeable and you two don’t seem to have egos that would get in the way of each other.
You're a 2-step climber, you're fit as a fiddle honey. Love all the shopping trips every single one. The scenery was a great added pleasure today. xoxo
Another great video.. it’s snowing 2 inches an hour here in Massachusetts right now, so it was a pleasure to peruse the antique shop with you! Loved the music and advertisements, as well. The tooth powder one made me roll my eyes! 🙄
thanks for taking me antiquing -- im 82 and quarantined -- not much here in western CO anyway -- now i know what my stuff is worth -- and here i thought the market was deflated -- back to just about what i paid 40 yrs ago -- enjoyed the old radio from my childhood
Hello Scott, loved the field trip, sadly we lost my cousin which lived there, I hadn't a chance to take my Parents for visit so his plan was to come visit us here in California, sadly he had to cancel due to Covid then passed unexpectedly. He absolutely loved living in Amish country, looks so nice, thank you for sharing your trip with us🥲
That place had a lot of interesting things to look at, but nothing had my name on it. Some things of interest, tho':4:16 Morris the Cat glass (The celebrity shelter cat!)--- 4:54 fancy waxed paper---16:55 I'd never seen anything like that opalescent casserole, so I looked it up!---Loved the trip, and country scenery. I'll be watching the weather report for your area. We have more coming down the pike, but nothing like last week.
Thank you for taking me along with you. I've always had "gasoline kidneys" as the saying goes! That was so much fun looking at some things that were a part of my growing up. I watch your videos all the time and I go on many shopping trips with you! Oh oh don't think I'm a stalker! Just love how much you know about antiques

Nothing prettier than eastern PA farm land. So neat & clean
A refreshing change of pace! The farmlands look so much like where my family is from, Southern Illinois.
Loved this. I loved the blonks. The cabinets are gorgeous. Thank you for sharing.

You are spitting image of great grandpa.
I *knew* right away that he was related to Scott. Scott, you have a strong resemblance of your great-grandfather. It's nice to have family reunions.
oh ive been to old mill before. Strasburg right next door is my favorite
Yay!! My Sunday has been uplifted 🥰 My blood pressure lowered.
“🎵Don’t forget dinner at eight... Two gardenias on your plate 🎶 “
Oh, you KNOW you're getting old when you can say "I have that, I have that".......and they were purchased when they were new.
And I look at items that were fashionable and think"Oh I am so glad I didn't buy that"😄😄
Thanks for the trip to Amish Country! I find myself yelling at the video....'go back, I want to see xxxxx up close!' Thanks!
Love the family pic! & i love Amish country - its been years since I've been
Love that happy photo!
Thoroughly enjoyed that. The music made it. I have about a good 2000 78s up in our attic. This makes me want an old Victrola.
I love the furniture! Thank you so much for sharing Scott! I live about 30 minutes from an Amish community here in Illinois.

TOCS field trip with our home room teacher Mr.Scott. My dad grew up not far from Lancaster PA. He was born in New Castle
Pa. Has the best antique stores. I see so many of the things I grew up with. I think this store is a little high priced.
Thanks Scott.

Very dapper black leather shoes.
So many things caught my eye! I always admire your restraint Scott.
The prices seemed really high. And there were SOOO many figurines... does anyone buy them anymore? I guess they do... the furniture was great!
Very interesting for a UK antiques dealer
