@@meaganrussell5337 hmmmm wanted to know more about the characters acting in the film
I really like how even though Tommy was a ruthless killer, you felt bad for him because you know he was doing all of this against his will and will be painted that way when it's not who he truly is. The only person who knows his true character, Cindy, is dead.
Well, no. Ziggy/Christine knows. It's just that no one believes her or acknowledges the truth (Nick and Will Goode).
I thought that too but Part 3 felt like he was much more one dimensional than he was presented to be. I wish he'd been portrayed as a bit more apologetic to the circumstances but also not wanting to die. Instead he just comes off like a guy who's been playing dumb the whole time and fully embraces his psychotic side.
@@jongon0848 dude is literally possessed wdym
@@deadprank947 Only time I thought he was possessed was when he touched that shit that made him see all the victims? I don't remember him ever being taken over by anything.
@@jongon0848 every single one of the killers is possessed dude wdym
The most upsetting thing about Tommy being chosen is that you know Nick chose him because he's Shadyside's "golden boy," nobody would ever suspect sweet Tommy of ever hurting them, so when people stop and see him covered in blood and out of it, their first course of action isn't to run, it's to check if Tommy's okay, check if the blood is his own. It was purposeful and meant more death for more reward, and it stings that much more
love this take!! great catch
Why would he choose someone to start killing people when he's literally in the line of fire. The nick goode is evil thing is such bullshit and stupid twist
I never thought of it like that, that’s a really cool observation
I felt extra bad for Tommy during the whole movie for this reason 😢 he seemed like a genuinely sweet guy.
Also, mad props the the actor that played him. Tommy, Nightwing Killer and the village drunk are portrayed so entirely differently, you forget it's the same person playing them.
Why would Nick even choose someone also at the camp with him. Nick wouldn’t be affected but so many other were? And young nick told ziggy (vaguely) how he didn’t want to carry on the curse. It’s so weird
Tommy is mentally strong as well. He had been feeling bad/hearing voices for a while before he was completely possessed, and was able to fight the possession.
That makes no sense dipshit
I think that's why he was so brutal too, him fighting it pissed off the demon and that's why he was so energetic

I saw something online which I like to think about which is that in the end when "ziggy" and Cindy were killed, the reason that Ziggy came back is because whenever someone is "sacrificed" the Goodes get what they want and Nick wanted Ziggy to be alive which would explain why she came back to life, not because it was a plothole for a twist ending but actually a smart detail to add.

An interesting fact that nobody seems to noticed about Ruby Lane is that she was the only one who committed suicide ( and who probably managed to resist the curse for a split second ).
All the others were killed by Good or other people ( for Tommy ).
I am praying for movies that show the other killers and I hope (if Ruby Lane gets one) that it shows her breaking out of the curse and taking her own life to not kill anymore.
Now I need to see a movie about Ruby Lane. Give us that story, Fear Street!

Ziggy may have told the story in third person. It's not entirely uncommon for people with PTSD to share events as if they only saw events happen and weren't the victim themselves.
THIS
That makes me feel even more for Ziggy
What my mom and I were laughing Abit about is Ziggy was telling the story right? Where was Ziggy the whole time? Just say with Nick or just up running around camp. How did she tell the events of what happened in the caves when Arnie, Alice, and Cindy are all dead and nobody told her what happened down there 😂😂🤔
That's a bit of a reach, although I do agree with what you're saying. There would come a point where one of the listeners would ask where she was in the story, and I find it hard to believe that someone wouldn't refer to themselves in a story as "I" or "me" at least once.

Something I am starting to do is watch the intro of the video as like an intro to the film, then watching the movie you are covering, then watching the kill count. Nick Goode's limp is a super good detail I never caught the whole series
Didn’t even notice that till he mentioned it. That’s some continuity genius right there
In part 1, I thought he walked that way towards the corpses in the mall because he was shocked. But it's true his awkward walk could have been due to his wound, entirely. However, what truly bothered me was how he handled the threat : The way he shoots the killer while he's murdering the girl gave me the impression that he either just appeared out of nowhere or, much more likely, that he has already arrived sometime earlier, but chose to let the murder happen, instead of reacting much sooner (at least, by shouting 'Police ! Don't move !', then giving the attacker a maximum of half a second, before shooting him, if he didn't comply). It's like he arrived in time to save her, but, for whatever reason, decided not to intervene when he clearly should have. Also, after shooting the killer, he simply waits for the girl to die, instead of rushing to her side, to give her first aid, before an ambulance arrives. Heck ! in these movies, you can cure and resurrect anyone with CPR, regardless of how they died ! He would know : That's how he saved Ziggy. Maybe he was shocked beyond measure, when he saw the tree, but it clearly looks like he was utterly incompetent or he decided to let her die on purpose.

@@ManAlsume Part 2 is the best part out of the entire trilogy. But overall, it was so good, I recommended it to my English class.
Something I just realised about Cindy's sacrifice and how important it is for Ziggy's arc into the next film.
Both sisters have suffered loss when we first meet them. Ziggy's response to trauma is to shut down completely and decide that life will never get better. Cindy's is to try and do something about it - working hard to improve her station and make it out of Shadyside.
Cindy also suffers more directly than Ziggy throughout the film - her boyfriend becomes the killer, her friends are killed in front of her and the children in her care are slaughtered. But when presented with the chance to break the curse and make sure this kind of suffering never happens again, Cindy still steps it up even when time is running out. And when it becomes clear that they won't break the curse, and her options aren't great, she sacrifices herself in the vain hope that Ziggy will make it to safety. She chose the one option that had a chance of helping someone else.
And in 1994, Ziggy is back to her apathetic ways, shut in her house and still traumatised. But she learns from Cindy's sacrifice that even when it seems like there's very little hope, you can still step it up and try and help someone else. So Ziggy realises that Cindy didn't sacrifice herself "for nothing"; she sacrificed herself for her, and she can honor that sacrifice by fighting to beat the curse.
This one is definitely my favorite of the three. Tommy is just so menacing as the Killer.

I think it would be plausible for them to do an accompanying mini series. I feel some stories, e.g. Ruby Lane’s, has potential for a full-length film, whereas other stories would fit better as an episode.
When I first watched this movie I didn't even realize that which sister died was supposed to be a twist; the fact that we started the flashback following Ziggy automatically made me assume she was the woman telling the story, and because I'm absolutely terrible with names I had already forgotten that the storyteller was named C. something, like Cindy. That fact that Tommy didn’t kill Nick makes much more sense to me now after seeing 1666
If anyone’s interested in reading the book that the movies most closely based on read betrayal, it’s about the false witch accusation and burning that leads to a feud between the goodes and the fears that lasts for centuries and causes shadyside to be cursed
Ok
ohhhh
This is one of those films best enjoyed with a large bag of salted, buttered popcorn, and a cold drink at night.
Or with a big huggable boyfriend.
@@Ajehy **cries**
I'll never understand salted popcorn though, ew. lol
Don’t forget the candy
@@comedicsociopathy somepeople want to eat healthy, but me I either go all the way or no way at all. Ngl crunching on some cold juicy cucumbers is quite refreshing while watching a movie, and so is eating a fat greasy poutine
I cried so hard when Cindy and Ziggy died!! They were gonna be together in death but then Nick just HAD to bring her back!
There wouldnt of been a part 1 if she died
I really like that just by pushing a bone back into a leg, then covering it with a bandage totally means you can walk around with little issue on a broken leg.
I think if we’re to happen that way in real life it would be because of shock and adrenaline
@@mrljones01 i know i’m a year late but even with adrenaline, that type of break would make you effectively paralysed from the waist down and you definitely coudnt walk
@@brycethewlis7957 Given that the Goode family literally deals with the devil, it's possible that Nick got off from his injury with just a minor limp because of that
I'm surprised James didn't give any mentioning to the fly that appears everytime someone turns into a haunted killer. Weird, since it is shown a lot of times, but no probs
Edit: I've been told it's so he doesn't spoil part 3, didn't know
Maybe he just didn’t catch that , cause I didn’t. Good eye!
@@itsleetv935 It's aight, the movie does show it some times but never really puts the camera right on the fly, wich i like since it's kinda annoying when movies are like "Hey, look at this lil detail, you didn't see it right? Be sure to check out this craaazy addition we left on the movie !"
Maybe he is saving it for the third movie
He's saving it for the 3rd film to avoid spoiling anything ahead of time since it's hard to go into the fly stuff without talking about 3 a bit.
@@TheMento98 Oh aight, i didn't watch the third movie yet so i didn't know, sorry
This trilogy seems to have some banging soundtracks
Especially part 2 that nirvana david bowie cover at the end was an amazing way to end the movie
I like the relationship between Ziggy and Cindy. It started off rocky but the sacrifices that Cindy did for Ziggy was so heartbreaking.
No one could be better at these kill counts/recaps than James because he puts a perfect amount of comic relief to still notice the scares and the movie, as well as make you laugh and he really seems to enjoy it a lot and I like his BTS info at the start of most Kill Counts
I love how everytime James spoke of Ryan simpkins he would use they/them pronouns just like Ryan uses. He’s so respectful and such a great guy!

Can I just mention funny it was when he said Tommy was an alien, and edited Axel’s freak out after Jason’s body moves. It was hilarious to me, good job James. :)
If Tommy killed Arnie down in that hole but Cindy and Alice were the only other two who knew about it, who would've told the police where to find his body?
the police probably searched the area and then found sarah fier's passage and then they found Arnie body
his head was still up there, and he broke a conspicuous hole in the wood when he fell through
@@theclairewhy that is gary you are talking about not Arnie
For real life
Either way, whether we're talking about Gary or Arnie, if you haven't seen the third movie, it's revealed that the Goode family are the ones operating the witches mark, Nick probably moved the body's to keep those areas from being combed, or he might've already had the sheriff authority to book the findings and falsely reported where he actually found them (I don't know how much authority a sheriff in training has, let alone one from the 70's)
I was sad when Jeremy died. I can tell how he was bullied.
what also sucks is that Jeremy died thinking his idol, Tommy, killed him just because :(
Jeremy deserved better. Felt rejected and unlikable until the end 😭
OMG YES. Like they made us feel sympathy for him just for him to die, no one really talks about this either. His death actually made me cry ngl
This is easily the best one out of the trilogy
I remember believing james wouldn’t be able to do these kill counts because of all the copyright issues he was receiving with the first one! Glad he got them out thank you james appreciate you and your work so very much :)
We need you at the top
Tommy Slater was such a beast. One of the best slasher villains in awhile
****SPOILERS**** My theory for Ziggy living is that Nick was actually at the witches house and asked for Ziggy to survive the night bc he loves her and since it was a small request it only required 1 sacrifice which happened to be her sister Cindy
Yes. James doesn’t have trouble posting these kill counts and we can keep watching these. Thanks james.
This has to be my favorite of the trilogy! Not only did I find the characters fun and interesting, I loved the new details about the curse and how the killer was utilized here
I thought you wouldn't be able to do it, I then watched the "part one" kill count and HAD to watch the 3 movies by myself. Kill count is a great way to promote a movie, I hope more studios understand this. Now I can't wait for the part 3 kill count.
Yep, same! I specifically watched all 3 movies because of the Kill Counts.
I just wanted to post this here really quick, so dont mind me. Growing up, I used to love scary movies and would try to watch them whenever I can. Unfortunately, some traumatic events led to me developing severe anxiety, and due to this, I can no longer watch horror movies (the stress and inability to sleep are nearly debilitating). And I was really struggling because I had no way to enjoy these films. I found Dead Meat about six months ago, and I have never been more thankful because I can still enjoy these films in a safe, and fun environment, and I really love the commentary and behind-the-scenes information James provides (another big passion of mine is film development). It really has helped me keep my love of horror alive, and I cannot thank you enough for all you do.
Aww, what a sweet sentiment! I'm so sorry to hear about your trauma, but I'm glad you were able to find James and have him help you! Hope you have a good life!

does anyone else love when James watches other things from other genres they love? like knowing he has seen Community and PEN15 makes me happpyyy 🤪
I love his Limp Bizkit songs references :3
The Jeremy death and the kids with the matches was sick just hearing the chops and screams off scene great work
Gotta love the “noise and confusion” James mentions to mention the song “carry on my wayward son” that plays as the scene happens
Love that song ❤️ I have those lyrics tattooed on me
“Literally everyone he’s killed has come from the Blue Brand Roster.”
That’s the same thing I say when I watch Roman Reigns.
When the milkman starts padding his stats cause he knows he’s in a kill count
The way tommy ran with his axe just made it so intense. He’s gotta be my favorite killer. And Cindy was overall an amazing character. Sad that she died. Timmy and Cindy both deserved better tbh
If you look carefully on the skull killer and the camp killer when they first get like possessed there is a fly always around them. Very awesome detail they out in there!
I like how the fly is kind of hidden a bit for Thomas because they are cleaning the toilets. Like that could just be normal. Or how after his fight with Nurse Lane. I was thinking maybe he had a concussion.
"alice. stay with me. ALICE." i'm not crying my eyes are just sweating
I thought it was a really corny it was so obvious she was going to die so to make it carry more weight they gave her a dramatic speech just before it

Heavily appreciate the effort at 8:09 to put on a different costume just to make that joke. Gave me a good laugh.
Ngl, it's pretty cool to see James A Janisse use both they/them and she/her pronouns for Ryan Simpkins, depending on whether he's referring to their character or just to them, and he never made a big deal out of it or even actually mentioned it.
Yeah it’s really lovely to see. I know he wasn’t aware that Bex Taylor-Klaus used they/them pronouns for his Hell Fest kill count, but do like that he put the disclaimer in at the start.
Seeing it so effortlessly entered here was great

I’m so Happy Fear Street is getting a kill count by one of the best UA-cam channels
Never thought I'd see a Community clip on the kill count. Love it.
the ‘man who sold the world’ sequence as nick gives ziggy cpr is genuinely haunting in retrospect, as she’s looking up at... the man who sold the world. leigh’s needle drops might be excessive but they never miss, i’m telling you.
I laughed when he said "before he turned Ziggy into stardust"
This second part was the one that actually liked. 1978 has the most likable characters and the best setting.
How did I just find this channel? As a huge horror fan, these videos are amazing!!! I've been binge watching since I stumbled across this!
Welcome to the party!
I'm glad that James didn't have to jump through as many hoops as he did when he was trying to upload the Kill Count on Fear Street Part 1.
Ik no doubt it was a pain in the arse. Ill tell u that
So many hoops, he could have taken part in a dog show.
Haha. Spoke too soon. It got hit recently and he just got it back up. Really hope Part 3 is good.
Surprisingly this one is my favorite of the trilogy, liked the characters of Ziggy and Cindy and Tommy was much more menancing than Skull Mask on Part 1
Skull Mask doesn't hold up to either Ruby or Tommy.
this is definitely my favourite film of the series, though they’re all pretty great, this one feels like the most self-contained (plus I love 70s slashers). I think Tommy is also one of the coolest killers in the series, not only is there a lot of physicality behind him (the heavy breathing and frantic pace at which he moves makes him seem almost animalistic), he feels like a killer that is a homage whilst still being something unique (unlike skullmask imo). I think a good example of this is the sack head, where in Friday the 13th part 2 it’s just a simple mask that conserves Jason’s identity, with a eye-hole to allow him to see, in the case of Tommy the mask is far more unnerving and interesting imo, because of the seeming impossibility it represents, being pulled tight over his face as a reminder of how Ziggy used it to try and suffocate him, only for him to still be standing (and breathing), whilst the lack of eyeholes make it all the more unnerving that he seems perfectly able to see. Overall it makes him seem both intimidatingly alien and unmistakably human, simultaneously unbothered by a fucking sack over his head whilst the impression of his face reminds that he is still a person under there.
I really feel for James at the moment, cant imagine the stress of getting copywrite claimed. We love you James!
How does someone get revived by cpr when they’ve been stabbed multiple times in the chest and stomach area?
Just wait until the 3rd movie
Actually… a reveal in part 3 makes it make sense. At least this once.

Poor Drew Scheid. Between Halloween 2018 and Fear Street, he seems to have already been typecast as an easily disposed of slasher victim. 😂
