Jason only goes to hell at the end of the movie and it's not even the final Friday movie. Maybe referring to its sequels that won't have Friday in their titles.
I look at it as the "final" film of Jason when he was still "human" to an extent before the second half of the series where he was full on undead/zombie Jason from Part 6 and onwards.
It's actually 1/3rd through this series
It’s fascinating how each of the big 3 killers has a “true nemesis”-Freddy has Nancy, Michal has Laurie (and Loomis), and Jason has Tommy. Yet the other enmities start out in the first installment, while it took the Friday series 4 titles to get a proper foe for the Vorhees legacy.

I just wanted to put it out there that I really like these recounts! I went back and watched the original videos, and it really shows how much James and his team have grown and how much work goes into all these Kill Counts. I also love the behind-the-scenes footage and facts James supplies that were missing in the first version of the counts. That way it's not just a synopsis of the movie, and people who have already seen it can get new info (and also laughs :)!) I guess Im just saying I love these videos. Great work to the Dead Meat team!

I might be late on this but I am sad to say that we have lost a legend, Mr. Ted White. I heard the news from one of my best friends and when I saw the post, I was crying for a good 20 minutes. Ted will always be my favorite Jason of all time, R.I.P Ted.

The guy who played Jason seems like a really nice and professional gentleman. And now knowing he doubled for John Wayne means he may have been in some of my favorite movies.
The asides about Kimberly Beck taking care of Corey Feldman and taking him trick or treating, and Ted White standing up for Judie Aronson were both really sweet.
Sometimes, I think the behind the scenes moments included in these videos are my favorite part 💙
The Rob kill is still my favorite and most unsettling kill. The fact that he is so powerless and overwhelmed that he cannot fight back and all he can do is yell out that Jason is killing him is so messed up.

She was murdered in the courtyard of her bulding and was yelling something close to "he's killing me" while everyone in the surrounding buildings did nothing because everyone thought someone else was going to help her. It's called the bystander effect.
That’s what the directors were going for, they wanted the audience to feel horrible and sympathize with the character Jason was killing

God, Corey's interviews are just heartbreaking. It sucks seeing how much he was basically set up to crash and burn. I just hope he has some form of peace now, even if that (sadly) doesn't seem like it's the case.

There’s a movie on it called A tale of two coreys that gives you surface level information. Cory Haim committed suicide from his trauma and no one believed Cory Feldman until a couple years ago promptin the movie to be made. I don’t think children should be doing acting after seeing so many instances of it ruining a child’s life. If you’re going to let your child be on TV,be with them every step of the way.

I just now noticed Jason was wearing a different mask during the climax. When he kills Doug in the shower, he has three red marks on his mask. But when he later fights with Trish and Tommy, he only had the center red mark between the eyes. Did anyone else catch this?
It is different yeah but in the movie its supposed to be the same mask, kinda like how the makeup keeps changing every movie but its the same Jason.
you can tell how much James cares about dead meat just from the fact that he always actually redoes the "Business!" bit instead of recycling footage, it's a tiny detail but it shows so much care for the little things, keep up the great work James

Friday 4 was one of the stronger films in the franchise, however as some of this episode shows it had one of the most toxic working environments from any of the Friday films with many of the cast and crew complaining about the harshness on set, they were not treated well at all. Kimberly Beck, the main girl in this film especially recalls how horrible it was to work on this movie.

Little triva on the Italian dub: we never dubbed kid Tommy's "Die! Die!" but we did dubbed Tammy's "Tommy! Tommy!" so now it sounds like Tommy is saying in Italian "Dai! Dai!" which means "Come on! Come on!".
That's it? NO. Since the next two movies has this scene's audio in Tommy's memory, Tommy's lines had to be redubbed... but they are dubbed by the ADULT Tommy, not the Kid Tommy. No, really, Italian dubbing studios, WHAT HAPPEND!?

Was sad to hear that Ted White died this October. He was an amazing performer and he lived a long life.
With these recounts, it's easy for people to be like "James is just covering the same movie again. I'm not going to watch that". But I really appreciate them! Not only does he go more into depth on the movie, but he also talks about the behind the scenes of the movie, making for more of an interesting and honestly, unpredictable episode. Without them, it's easy to tell what the entire episode is going to be like if you've seen the movie that's being covered. Putting behind the scene's info from the movie makes for a more fun, interesting, and unique way of talking about the movie without just talking about what everyone who's seen the movie already knows. It can easily get repetitive and boring if he just recaps every scene and counts the amount of kills (no offense James).
Personally, I love these recounts and I hope we see more older Kill Counts get this treatment outside of the Friday the 13th series. Yes, I would like to see more movies that haven't had a Kill Count yet be made. But I would also really enjoy to every once in a while see an older movie or series get a recount. I think series like Scream (which James has stated he already plans on recounting at some point in the future) and Saw would benefit greatly from a recount with behind the scenes info
It's good for James to do recounts, but at the same time he could put that same effort into doing another movie franchise rather than redoing what he's already done 🤔
@@PlanetNateGaming He felt like the first kill count series wasn't up to par with his later stuff. He even said he didn't really say much about each film, he just kinda rushed through each one. He wants to give each film the best kill count he possibly can. I can really respect the fact that he can admit that he's grown as a content creator over the years.

Actually James, the films take place over the course of a week, not a weekend. Let me explain
The climax for Part 2 takes place on Friday the 13th. The opening for part 3 takes place on the 14th as evidenced by the news report. The majority of part 3 takes place on Sunday and the movie ends on Monday. It's safe to assume that part 4 opens on Monday night and I assume we meet the Jarvis family on Tuesday afternoon. The climax of 4 takes place the night after the teens arrive making that Wednesday.
So it's safe to say that the parts 2 through four start on Thursday the 12th and end on Wednesday the 18th.

The way I see it, I feel like Tina was killed first and when Jimmy goes to the kitchen for a beer, Jason had enough time to sneak inside and kill him before taking the knife he used to kill Ted. But the scenes got flipped for some reason and that's why he seems to appear in the kitchen, then the second floor and the kitchen again.
I'm glad James brought up how Jason seems to teleport in this film; it still looks ridiculous.

For how typically "slasher" the Friday films are, their productions seemed so complex. Kinda shows how big things are behind the scenes
In my mind , I always thought the title "The final chapter" was appropriate As it was the last movie or chapter in the original continuity that Jason was human.

Part 2 takes place on Friday, Ginny is taken to the hospital early Saturday. The couple at the grocery get killed Saturday night, and the rest of part 3 takes place Sunday. Chris gets taken away by the police Monday morning, and that night at the beginning of part 4 Jason is taken to the morgue from the barn. Monday night Jason leaves the morgue, Tuesday the teens arrive at their party house. The events of part 4 happen Wednesday the 18th, and Jason is killed by Tommy either late Wednesday or very early Thursday the 19th. The sun rises and sets in the movies lol.
I remember really loving the intro to this movie, with the police at Higgins Haven in full force with even a helicopter. It just shows how much damage Jason caused there just hours before, enough that the investigation lasted all the way into the next night.
There's all the little continuity touches too that nail it like the broken railing Jason falls through and the rope still hanging in front of the barn door
