I had a total robotic hysterectomy on 1/3. Thank you for sharing your story. It amazes me how different the experiences are. I had a 7:30am surgery and didn't get discharge until 4pm. I had to urinate, walk, and have pain and nausea under control before they'd let me leave. I didn't get any shoulder or back pain. They didn't give me compression socks. My first bowel movement was on day 3, I used miralax as well. My throat was so sore from being intubated, so I drank a lot of warm water with lemon and honey. I appreciate everyone who shares their story on UA-cam and highly recommend watching how the surgery is performed. Praying for speedy healing on all the women having this procedure.
I watched a video on how the surgery is performed after I had mine. I think it would have given me too much anxiety had I watched beforehand lol 😅. Listening and reading other women’s stories prepared me for mine. But you are correct, everyone is different and has a different experience. You just never know until you go through it. Praying yours went well. ❤️
You still didn’t answer my question about sex
I had my surgery at 10:00 in the morning I got to go home at 3:00 in the afternoon am still am sore I still have stitches I had a full hysterectomy landscape one am only 33 year old 😢 am still feeling pain and it on the 27th of December just be for Christmas
Its amazing that a surgery that used to keep you in the hospital for at least 5 days is now outpatient. Glad youre did well. Props to your husband.
Gotta love innovation! Thank you so much and I suppose my hubby is pretty great! Lol 😊
I just had my hysterectomy yesterday. Short of amazing process. No real unbearable pain ...thank God
That’s awesome! 🩷
I had a robotic assisted hysterectomy yesterday. My doctor admitted me overnight. I currently wearing a abdominal
band. My husband has been a big help. Truly grateful. I’m trying to keep moving as well to reduce the risk of blood clots.
Praying for a speedy recovery. Try to take it easy!
The abdominal band sounds like a dream. I hold my belly when I walk to and fro around the house.
Where does one get an abdominal band? I have surgery coming up soon.
@@anglophils645The nurse provided me with the band after my surgery in recovery. Hopefully they will provide one for you.
Thank you so much for sharing, it helps people like me so much. I have my surgery next Thursday. Hope your doing amazing!
Hope your surgery went well! I will make a one year follow up video soon!
I just want to thank you for sharing your journey… this has really been a life saver … and Praise God for your Husband …. ❤❤
You are so welcome. And yes, hubby is the best! ❤️
Thanks so much for being willing to share your story. I have my own hysterectomy coming up soon and this video and videos like it are really helping me feel prepared.
Thank you for watching! Praying for a speedy recovery for you!
A helpful support system is also a huge key to quick recovery! The caddy is a great idea. The hubby is very on it with the help! Dang. Love that for you and you don’t have to behave for help. Nice. He’s a keeper. The little guy is so sweet too.
Thank you!
Desiree, thank you for sharing. I have to have a hysterectomy soon, and I'm gathering info. FYI, the squeezy things for your legs during surgery, are not because of your position during surgery. They are to keep circulation going in your legs, while you are still for a while. This helps to keep blood clots from forming in your legs. They are now put on all surgical patients.
Good to know! Thanks so much for watching and glad it helped! Praying you have a successful surgery and smooth recovery. ❤️
Thank you for sharing your experience. As I prepare for my procedure, your specific experience (and taking us to the hospital with you) has put me a lot at ease. Appreciate you! ❤
I’m glad it helped! I worked myself up for a long time over this surgery and put myself through unnecessary pain bc of the fear of it. It really wasn’t bad and I always say I wish I’d gotten it done sooner when it was first recommended. I pray your surgery goes smoothly and you have a quick and easy recovery. Much love ❤️
I can’t believe your surgery was that quick and that you were home that fast! My surgery took 5 hours and they kept me in the hospital for 2 days and I had the same procedure. Funny how every hospital is different! I’m 1 month post op at this point and still in pain but not as bad as in the beginning
I just had this 6 days ago. They did a few other things due to a cancer diagnosis. I’m doing ok. Yesterday I felt like a million bucks 😂 So Ofcourse I over did it and now I’m in unbelievable pain again! Lol. But I’m sure tomorrow will be great again. I pray for anyone going through this!! It’s a big deal and everyone has such a different experience!! And it’s so confusing. It sore where the uterus would be but the little incisions are at the top! What? Lol.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience❤ I have mine one Monday so I’m trying to watch and read up and this has definitely helped me feel better 😊❤
Of course! I did the same before my surgery lol! Praying for a speedy recovery for you and try to relax as much as possible afterwards. ❤️❤️❤️
@@DesireeNicole Thank you ☺️

@@lakenyajohnson-us6gc it took a few weeks to approve everything

Glad it helped! I got the heating pad from Target. Can’t remember the name of it but it was only about $20!
I saw your other video on starting a channel but this reached me also because I will be having a major surgery soon. You did good recording with being groggy Lol

thank you for sharing!😊
Thanks for watching!
Week 4 post robotic hysterectomy and still having discomfort. Pain is a 1 to 2. Walking is still causing pain after a while of walking.
I just had my surgery 1/23 and they removed my uterus, cervix, right ovary, right 7.4 centimeter cyst, (right tube was already gone), left tube, and my 6.4 centimeter cyst on the left ovary. I still have my left ovary. It’s been a week and I am still having pains. I just had a laparoscopic gallbladder removal in November. So I’m in twice as much pain. And my lower abdomen is the worst. My 4 incisions hurt like hell. It hurts to push when I pee. And I’m barely using the bathroom because I already was on mirlax and stool softeners. A week and 1 day in but sheeeesh and I’m 37. Thank you for sharing your story❤️. They put me on oxycotin and it was making my head hurt so they switched it to Norco. I really haven’t rested properly smh. My wife goes to work at 5am and I’m left with the kids to get them up for school. 😢
I’m so sorry you’re going through so much. That takes a toll on your body for sure. Try to rest as much as possible and praying you recover quickly! ❤️
Thank you 💕. I got as much rest as I could. The only issue I have now is that my stomach is still sore. My incisions still hurt and they are healed but kind of red. And then my abdomen hurts like crazy when I cough. Are you experiencing menstrual symptoms though? Like the sore breasts? And mood swings?
i have one coming up i dont know when but i do. kind of scared cause if you know a thing or two about robots, they break down
I just had a robotic hysterectomy last Wednesday and my Doctor was so amazing and I spent two days in the hospital
Wishing you a speedy recovery ❤️
Hope your doing well. I’m currently doing my videos for the same.
That is awesome! Yes, doing very well and so happy I went through with the surgery. Pray yours went well also!
This is very helpful and I thank you. The smoke alarm beeping is a little distracting as a viewer; just a little note, but thanks for sharing your story and taking the time. ❤
Lol! Sorry about that. I guess we just got used to it 🙈. Thanks for watching!
I just had a abdominal mayomectomy yesterday..Hurry for us we’re going back to normal life..
Wishing you a speedy recovery ❤️
My cousin had a robotic surgery and it split her liver . She passed away. Thank for sharing your story
Oh my goodness. I’m so sorry for your loss. 😔
Surgery is risky business. Sad your cousin paased away in such a way...😮
I had radical hysterectomy. Went home next day....got flown back to hospital because my right Aortic lymph node where they cut for cancer screening bled and I went into shock a d nearly didn't make it.
Omg! How scary! Glad you recovered and are here today!
@@DesireeNicole Thanks for your story! Yes, I'm good so far...in my 3rd year cancer free.
Hello I wanted to know if you experienced and weight gain or loss in your abdominal area after the surgery thank you
I had no change in weight but this surgery affects everyone differently.
@@DesireeNicole okay thank you so much
Ii has gas pains in my back n shoulder for 5 days it hurt very bad I thought of going to ER but I took high dose pain medication helped a little surgery dont hurt cuz you are asleep Recovering is what hurts cuz u dont have nestecia no more so then u feel the pain of surgery cuz it dose hurt to get up sit down n get in n out bed for several weeks I felt better in 4 weeks
I had mine in 5/22. The gas was intense but it never got to my shoulders was just burping a lot. I kept taking the gas medicine twice a day, that helped to get the gas out. I also noticed for the next 5 days after surgery it helped to sleep and sit inclined so the gas does not settle and walk around.
@@naemack1441 yesss i did same i took Gas X n I slept in my recliner the 2 weeks it was easier for me I'm going tomorrow 6 17 24 to Dr for my 6 weeks release hopefully I'm driving close places now hope you feeling better too
@@naemack1441 yes I was burping a lot too I slept in my livingroom recliner for 2 weeks I felt better then being flat in bed cuz Dr told me not to sleep flat for 2 weeks
im having partial laproscopic hystorectomy. im gonna request the nausea patch. did it work ? i hate puking more than the pain itself
Yes it worked. I didn’t even know they put the patch on me until I was home lol!
@@DesireeNicole nice!
Hi..not sure if you've had surgery yet, but the Scope patch and Zofran combination works great for nausea..the patch is good for 72 hrs..if you touch it, make sure you wash your hands right after..I've had a lot of surgeries..good luck!
Did it hurt? I’m going to have a hysterectomy in a month due to a nonstop vaginal bleeding. Did you stay at the hospital overnight? How long did you take to recover?
I had no pain after surgery…I took my pain meds like clockwork for at least three days straight. The only pain I had was gas pain. But GasX and a heating pad will help with that. I went home the same day and felt much better by day three or four. You’ll do fine and you’ll come out on the other end feeling like a new woman! ❤️
@@DesireeNicole thank you!
I'm having a total hysterectomy next Wednesday and im scared
How did everything go? Praying for a speedy recovery 🙏🏽
Why do they flip you upside down
They have you at an angle where your reclined all the way back and your feet are higher than your head. I guess they use that position to maybe see better?? Not sure. Could also be to have the other organs shift so they are out of the way while doing the procedure. That is something I’d have to look more into.
a pregnancy test? girl you werent here for a delivery
