Sorry for all your loss. I got breast cancer when I was 48. Chose to have double mastectomy with reconstructuon and total hysterectomy. Best decision I have done. I have since lost 4 friends to breast cancer. I take Efexor for the menapause symptoms and has stopped the hot flushes. The strength of women never ceases to amaze me.
Everything you described about the first two weeks of your hysterectomy is the same thing I have experienced. The crying was just unreal and the first bowel movement was horrific. I just felt so uncomfortable in my own skin. I am now going on three weeks after my surgery and I am bleeding a little. My doctor says it is normal as the sutures are dissolving. Thanks for making this video, it feels good to know that I am not alone in experiencing all of the same things.
The hormones will help a lot, I had the same surgery. You are grieving the old you but welcome the new healthy you. I wish you all the best and a long healthy life.

I struggled with infertility for 10 years, i was diagnosed with PCOS with irregular periods. I didn't have any success with regulation or getting pregnant. So i decided to get a Hysterectomy. I had it vaginally, no incisions on my belly. Its less invasive, healing is quicker. I had the surgery on St Patrick's day. I only had my uterus removed, the Dr couldn't get my tubes out- i guess it was a struggle even getting my uterus out because i had a tilted uterus.. I am so thankful for my Dr and now I don't have to suffer any more through my menstrual cycles. I do have emotional moments but I am taking it 1 day at a time. I hope to Foster or Adopt in the future, if not I have 3 furbabies that keep me going!

My grandmother died of ovarian cancer and my mother had a hysterectomy right after I was born because of fibroids. I have 6 beautiful kids and I'm not having any more. My cycle was off the chain crazy besides being unpredictable they were also extremely heavy. So I'm looking forward to surgery in 12 days.

@@angelagrant2943 it's been over 2 months since my hysterectomy and I am feeling back to normal all except for constipation problems and insomnia problems I guess the insomnia has to do with the hormone changes and constipation can be managed with milk of magnesia once a week

Thank you for sharing! I have the brca1 gene mutation, 32 y/o, and planning to have a oophorectomy when I’m 35-40 y/o. It’s so scary that there is no effective screening for ovarian cancer (my mother died because of it) and I think removing them would bring much peace of mind. But in the Netherlands they advise to wait until you are 35 and my bf and I would like to have another child (our daughter is 16 months). In the Netherlands its also not standard to do a full hysterectomy for Brca carriers. I always find these differences in guidelines between countries very confusing. Hoping the hormone replacement will help with your symptoms!
In the middle of January I found out that my mom was going to pass away from complications from a surgery she had, two hours later I got a call from my doctor that I had uterine cancer and needed a full hysterectomy. Luckily I got into surgery quickly. I am now trying to recover from the surgery and deal with my moms passing and it is so hard. Physically and mentally I am not doing well. Hi, My sympathy. I am 58 and just had my second surgery three weeks ago since January. They took out my ovaries first, but there were cancer cells and then had the rest removed. I’ve been taking a low dose of estradiol. With our family history it was a good move. Take care and let me know if you need anything.

It’s the hardest thing joy being able to do things when u are constantly moving. How long after we’re u able to start working out. I had a hysterectomy where they cut my csection and laparoscopically.

Dbl mastectomy 2/19 with nipple sparing and small implants,3/19 1st round out of 4 very strong chemo, bald 4/3, finished chemo 5/21. Wednesday 6/23 hysterectomy and oopherectomy. i’m very scared. Its a little better than the day I made this video but my appetite still comes and goes and so does the sleep. I find im falling asleep faster but still wake up several times a night. I just got my perception for my hormones just haven’t picked them up yet
I am 44 and on an IUD for years , I still bleed and irregularily at that ( so no an IUD dosen' t stop every womans period) I already have kids and am not having more, i' ve done research and there is no birthcontrol guaranteed to 100% stop your period, I would Love to have a hysterectomy especially if this is guaranteed.

These will vanish once menopause sets in, which means fibroids emanate from excess estrogen. The adrenals and ovaries make estrogen, but fatty tissue also makes estrogen and you become an estrogen-dominant female. Take 350-500 mg of resveratrol to counter your estrogen. Can also use VITEX herb." I just thought I'd share just in case...because we do need to get to the root of this...right?

Its a little better than the day I made this video but my appetite still comes and goes and so does the sleep. I find im falling asleep faster but still wake up several times a night. I just got my perception for my hormones just haven’t picked them up yet

Ultrasound is a good test for cancer. It’s awful when you can’t get surgery because you can’t get a ride
I am 44 and on an IUD for years , I still bleed and irregularily at that ( so no an IUD dosen' t stop every womans period) I already have kids and am not having more, i' ve done research and there is no birthcontrol guaranteed to 100% stop your period, I would Love to have a hysterectomy especially if this is guaranteed.

@@mandypaige9387 Thanks so much!!! I just asked a natural healing guy about this and he said "The bleeding problem is likely from fibroids. These will vanish once menopause sets in, which means fibroids emanate from excess estrogen. The adrenals and ovaries make estrogen, but fatty tissue also makes estrogen and you become an estrogen-dominant female. Take 350-500 mg of resveratrol to counter your estrogen. Can also use VITEX herb." I just thought I'd share just in case...because we do need to get to the root of this...right?
