Hahaha..when she mentions Ballard Berkeley in Bergerac ( a police TV series based in Jersey) She shows the CD box for Cyrano de Bergerac.....classic eh what 🤣
A little niggle from me too: the "Avengers" program you're referring to for Christine Shaw isn't a Marvel Comics production but a BBC adventure/spy/sometimes-comic series. At the time that Shaw appeared there, it starred Patrick MacNee and Honor Blackman. Later on, the series would gain more fame when Diana Rigg (Lady Olenna from "Game of Thrones") replaced Blackman as MacNee's partner. The series was very different in concept, tone, and storylines from the Marvel Comics "Avengers".
Not to mention the posters for the French 'Cyrano de Bergerac' film with Gerard Depardieu and the Hammer 'Hound of the Baskervilles' with Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee! An example of Fawlty Memories.
There was also always that daft urban legend about a 'lost' thirteenth episode. There's no proof whatsoever and nobody involved in the show has said much or anything about it. The DVD also has an Easter egg where it shows you the aftermath of the fire that destroyed the Wooburn Grange Country Club (used for the exterior shots) in 1991. The whole area was redeveloped for housing and there's now no trace of it.
I'm also pretty sure I heard that 2014 was just when Scales made her diagnosis public, and that she'd actually been a bit unwell for longer than that. She was doing theatre work on stage and there are rumours she was struggling with her lines and people noticed a change in her as far back as 1999. But I can't confirm that.
Yep, the line about cancer being a bully was actually from Brian Hall (Terry the chef). Must just have got that part of the video mixed up. Hall died on 17th September 1997. I can't find Berkeley's cause of death anywhere, but he was 84 after all.
I was thinking that too, he died January 19 1988, which happened to be my mother’s 30th birthday, so I can remember being at a theme park with relatives that day.
Some wrong information which is the beauty of free speech and a democracy that some country's would love right now, unfortunately a lot of people will take it as truthful information and it's not, loved the brian hall photo of the brian hall who played for Liverpool my club In his liverpool shirt In a team photo, I'm not taking the piss but wrong information can be dangerous

Whereas I believe Connie Booth is 100% retired these days. She was certainly working as a psychotherapist at the turn of the millennium and if she'd worked through to a normal retirement age (65-ish) she would have retired circa 2006. She's now 82.

6:28 I think they've got the wrong "Bergerac" there, somehow!
I see Liverpool footballer Brian Hall's picture featured at one point.
Well spotted. Yes Brian Hall great Liverpool player . Are these errors intentional or is this plain stupidity
Has the French lady Mrs Peignoir changed her name to O Reily ?

Anything with Joan Sanderson in was usually good..if only that gifted actress was still around......

Sounds like John Clease’s recent work is out of desperation - straight to video titles.
