To be fair you're full of crap about Galactica "capitalising on Star Wars" just because of a couple of employees working in all manner of films and shows Lucas hardly "owned". Why do the Star Wars liars always act like Lucas invented space battle films? it's really irritating.

Okay actual fun fact about the show, the network was wary of a show about two single men living together, as they thought some might interpret them as homosexuals. Tony Randall and Jack Klugman thought this was absurd and they would regularly send in outtakes depicting Felix and Oscar as a couple.

Paul Darrow was fantastic

During my initial training as a vision technician at the BBC I was given a day in the Blakes 7 recording studio. Not only was it a lot of fun, but the whole of the cast were wonderful people and also treated the crew wonderfully ( myself, at that time without a clue, included). On camera some came across as tough, but off camera were lovely. A credit to what good actors they were. I feel privileged to have been able to sit and talk to them.

A great sci fi series. Shows what good acting can achieve.

There are several channels on UA-cam about "Where are they now" but your videos are far better than others "alike". Keep on the good work! Blakes 7 was pretty good, the actors not so.

I absolutely loved the series when it was originally aired - and still do! I was privileged to meet many of the surviving cast at a convention a few years ago. Realistically it was a simple translation of the D&D fantasy trope - Paladin (Blake), Wizard (Avon), Rogue (Vila), Barbarian (Gan), Sorceress (Cally) etc. with cheap BBC special effects, but for a young Sci-Fi fan it was unmissable. Avon was my favourite character but I really loved the ship (Liberator) and its its temperamental computer (Zen). Very British and of its time but still a huge favourite 😁

The character of Cally, was almost certainly based on the fugitive terrorist, Astrid Proll. Like Cally, Proll was the only survivor of her band and at the time when her character was being written, was presumed to be planning some final, apocalyptic act. When Cally, first appeared in early 1978, Astrid Proll has been discovered - working as a welder at a garage in Hackney, East London.

Despite the omission of " Little Levitt " Chano & Wentworth, you did an excellent job. I still enjoy watching episodes of Barney Miller on UA-cam. I loved the recurring characters too. Who could forget the guy that thought he was a werewolf showing up later saying he was possessed? Or Marty and Ray?
