Very helpful video! I always have trouble estimating the distance from other cars and so i probably use my high beams less than i should since i don't know if I'm too close to oncoming cars or cars ahead to use high beams.
I shall share this video with everyone I know. Overuse of high beams has become a problem in India. The problem is very difficylt to counter when you are on a bike.
Great question! The answer is generally yes, the high beam and low beam headlights use the same light source, typically a halogen or LED bulb. However, the difference between the high and low beams is in the design of the headlight assembly itself. We hope that answers your question 🙂✌
That old trick about darting your vision to the side of the road the oncoming lights are not on, is mostly (notice I said MOSTLY) an old adage that doesn't really apply to today's head lights. ESPECIALLY if it's high-beam. High-beam LED lights are so bright and blinding that even looking at the side of the road isn't enough. Sure it's not safe, but far safer over the long-term to look down towards your lap (NOT AT YOUR LAP, that's too far!) while keeping some peripheral view of the road ahead while slowing down gently until the lights go by. You should still be able to see the road well enough to drive slowly and accurately, if you can't, you're looking too far down... but that's not the official advice, so... take with a salt shaker.
Idk why they never taught me this during my driving test. A car i was behind today got real pissed at me and i didnt know why, but its because i had my high beams on and i didnt even know what they did

Just drive with high beams on all the time and cause lots of crashes that's fine 😅
Im Using these in the rain and fog fk it
