Hi Robin, another great bead, I’m in the studio today so I can jump straight to it and give it a go. Big thanks as always 😊

I love the way the pattern forms when you wrap the cane around a bead. Just as an aside, down here we call that pattern a zigzag rather than a wigwag.

Hi Robin, I love this effect! A glass I use which gives great colours is reichenbach ‘magic’. You do have to super-heat it to get the purples (so hot it goes clear) or another which gives more orange colours is iris orange stringers……. Just a thought x

Fun! After watching both wigwag videos, I’ll have to try wrapping vs striping the wig wag cane and compare.

Robin, have you ever done "benderback" style wig wags? Instead of twisting, you come out of the flame and bend the Caine in one direction then reheat as you bend back the other way. You get a really tight result.

How would you get the cane straight after doing that? Wouldn’t it be lumpy? Do you have a link to a demo?

Hi Jeremy! 😃✨ I have never made the benderback cane….omg…It sounds fantastic! I am excited to try it out. Thanks so much for sharing your suggestion!! Have a great week ahead my friend!

Did you anneal the cane after pulling it?

    • @scottwoodresearch

Hi Maria! 💫🌹 I do not anneal the cane….it is not super thick. I have made these several times and have had no issues with them cracking. 🤗 Thanks for your question! Cheers- Robin 🌈✨✨✨
