Saving a Save I Already Saved

- I guess save your saves isn’t a perfect science because someone who we have already saved once is back AGAIN in need of advice for their Football Manager save. Let’s see if we can actually help them out this time, or maybe we can just make this a recurring segment. We save other saves as well and I hope they don’t have to come back because then I might need to take a long look in the mirror.
Much Love,

"I got suited and booted up for the boys on Discord, and we lost 4-0" must be the most FM sentence I have ever heard
This is the way…
For the first guy, people often overlook Community Outreach, and foreign friendlies as a way of expanding your team's international reputation.
Foreign pre-season training camps in China, Korea or Japan ftw
How do you do community outreach?

This is a great idea. You should do what Gordon Ramsay does in Kitchen Nightmares where he goes back a few months later to see if things changed

Guy managed U20 Ghana, I'm not sure whether this is mental or genius
Mental
It’s why I love journey man saves. Globe trotting randomness. Not even like he was managing in Ghana either just thought let’s have it.
EVERY TEAM, EVERY YEAR is in danger to be relegated from the 2. Bundesliga IRL.
They also ALL have hopes to get up to Bundesliga.
That league is ridiculously level every season.
And thats the reason why its such a great league
Such as Bayern?

This should definitely be the format going forward, I like they have the ability to ask follow up questions etc
The first guy should try to put a "profit from next sale" clause. He could get easly 20-30M selling the clause
Since the board is auto accepting the bids, he would have to convince them to let him renegotiate the deal, which I personally have not had a lot of success with. If you are at the level where the board is doing that, they generally don't listen to your pleas.
@@higgnkfe But if he accepts he can't keep some players, and offers them out for 5m + 50% next sale (or 50% profit) then they would accept his bid rather than go over his head. The hardest part of this is accepting and selling your best player rather than having a random bid go over your head
Overpromising on players is a good strategy. You can always lower their playing time later, and if you do this when the coaching meeting prompts you to, you typically get either no response or a resolvable chat
10:18 Holy mother of god, today is the day Zealand advocated against (too many) loans!
"Plătică" is pluh-TEE-cuh.
Romanian/Moldovan spelling rules work just like Italian, aside from the special characters (ă = "uh", â/î is a sound that doesn't exist in English but it's similar to the "e" in "roses", ș = "sh", ț = "ts"). Emphasis is usually on the second-to-last syllable if it's a name of Romanian origin.
The only other exception is that "i" usually isn't pronounced at the end of words (it works like the soft sign in Russian).
Thank you for this!
The game should be called Reputation Manager. Reputation is the single most important thing in this game.
As it is in real life
Unlike real life where teams in the Kazakhstani third division often rise to champions league winners in five years.
im so happy to hear you say the potential stars this year are a bit less accurate, Ive had so many 5 star potential 18 year olds that have seemed quality and now at 21 theyre apparently worth 30mil but I cant even sell them for 3

Still my favorite segment. Bundesliga a bit weird. Lots of money but you never feel rich with the TV money.
If you get to the bundesliga its basically easy mode, no transfer restrictions, no registration restrictions, lot of million to go around.
Until you overachieve with your squad full of non-Germans and you can’t register anyone for the European competition because good Germans are too expensive for your small club and your youth setup is still 3. Liga level.
And I‘m definitely not saying that because my board was questioning why I bought 1-2 star players for 1-2 million simply because they are club trained.
We need that last guy on for a 3rd, 4th, and 5th time.

The main thing that i would say to the first guy is understanding that when you manage in such low reputation leagues, You are responsible for the whole of it. You need to make the other teams a lot stronger by loaning your players out to them and making them better. You need to build the nation. Second Yellow Card is a great channel to watch and learn from.

Shanu my man, if you still have Tobias Sippel, Benedikt Saller, Oumar Diakhité, André Hahn and Marvin Ajani in your squad, in 2025 may I add, you kinda deserve to be in a relegation dogfight.
Lmao Andre Hahn, man's an athlete and nothing more

You should do a SAS spinoff where catch-up for past SAS participants
Great idea, you should do this for every SYS you do
I had the same problem as the second guy in my fm22 save. I took my home town club Eintracht Trier from the Oberliga (5th tier of german football) all the way up to the 2.Bundesliga in only 5 years. Ive felt like my squad was really weak because I got promoted so early but I was able to reach place 14 in my first season there with only some small changes in my team. But after a bigger budget and a bad start in the second season I panicked and made too many changes and signed to many players so everything went down. I finished the season as dead last and this was my first and only time I got sacked. But in general the 2.Bundeslga is very competitive and in my opinion it is the best second league in the world. There are always some huge clubs with a big budget and an even bigger reputation. But you should still be able to compete against these teams with your freshly promoted third league side, so dont panic and dont make the same mistakes like I did.
Not getting attached to your players is harder than it sounds, but watching these videos has helped me lol. I sold a my striker called Henrik Bek Hensen, 29yr-old, winner of the last 3 ballon d'ors, to Real Madrid for €109M. He was in his final year and I was tempted to renew his contract like I always do. I already spend a ridiculous amount of money and he wanted to dpuble his wages. Sold him and freed up space to a guy called Michal Hudak, who is 21, better and I got for free lol Pissed my goalkeeper in the process, but he will be shown the door soon lol

Oh great, so 2nd place?
The hack for getting players who want to be a star player etc to accept playing less is to reduce their playing time 1 place (Star Player to Important Player, Regular Starter to Squad Player etc) and when they complain you use th "I just dont think you're quite ready for that much playing time" option and they are cool with it 95% of the time. Do that 2 times over the course of a season, and you're sorted.

@@spanglish_official to be fair in this case, it was Estanis Pedrola who was on PSV from the Den Bosch save so the player had no control over it.
I'm honestly devastated that I just got fired on a steady rise with St. Pauli. I led them to the Euro League in the second season, finished 3. only behind Bayern and Leipzig back to back and then got fired on a losing streak 10 games in the season.
This game is brutal when it comes to sackings, especially because I was on a good run in the CL group stage.
@@young_diogenes Fuck St Pauli, join Hamburg, the bigger club, small clubs want to be small, join us at Hamburg, the clear bigger team
The leap from 3. Liga to Bundesliga 2 in Germany is NOT 'going from one bad league to another'. Some of the old giants of German Football are lurking in the second division like Hamburg, Kaiserslautern (with their 50,000 crowds), Schalke, Nurnburg and Hertha. Coming from a league like the 3.Liga with Munich 1860, a few B Teams and semi -professional clubs is a massive gap to those other teams I mentioned.
hey zealand, i know you may not see this, but i play fm, but i am on xbox, and i dont have access to a computer. i find it more difficult to do a successful save on console then it seems to be on computer. any tips on how to make it seem easier or faster on console?

I have no idea why these saves don’t just absolutely tank scouting South America - excluding Brazil - there’s so many wonder kids you can get for 5-6 million from Argentina who will be superb and then add in Columbia/Uruguay

25:42 this is a great young full back to have. He’s got every attribute needed to succeed. People need to realise that full backs require mocha less technical attributes than other players. Physically good. Mentally great. Technically has decent tackling and positioning and good crossing for a full back. Also good touch. For the position he’s in with his club, he’s a superstar. Zealand is blind.
Simmilar to irl the german 2nd league is actually very close and a short bad form can ruin your season.
Quick question - Why don’t players values go up once they get promoted? I’m doing a Create a Club save in England and just got promoted to the Prem. I have one of the best players in the league, so much so he’s in the media’s 11 and in the key players part of the Season Preview. But every offer doesn’t go over 20 million. He’s 24 and just came off a 20 goal and 15 assist season.
But new players I buy for like 2 million are worth the exact same or even more despite having never played a game. Why is it that a new player who never plus a game can go for more than one of the best players or one of the most influential players in the league?
Reputation. His reputation is probably lower than that of the other players you bought because he was promoted with you.
If you want to grow his value, stick with him in the Prem for a while. If he keeps performing well, his reputation (and value) should go up.
They’re the same as he has worked his way into the league, whilst the players you sign are players a top league team would sign. They’re similar.
The stars lie. I'm doing a Leicester City Save and in season 23/24. Dennis Praet has only 2.5 current ability yet playing as a simple central midfielder he is a mile ahead of KDH and Ndidi. A tonne of assists and a handful of goals. He is undroppable!
2:10 "six million pound offer" while the screen shows it's a lot more damning than than. 6M dollars.
It’s not that bad. It’s about 5M pounds.
doing these with the person in a discord call is genius

First guy, Hafid is mercenary, which mean he will always look for money high ambition low profossenalizm low loyality and you are managing in low reputation league and you sigh him just becasue he is good and you have no place in registration great mate!
It would be nice to see Zealand help someone who has constantly failed and is in the VNN/VNS or even lower, with no money, is over their wage budget and has upset all their players.
Overall balance never bothers me now because as long as I meet leagues FFP keep doing what you can
Hello Zealand, or any of the people looking at this comment right now, I've got a problem, I'm in 2 season of my 1st save on fm, its a Colchester United save, in my 1st season we got promoted through play offs, with the star being an academy graduate, the goalkeeper ted Collins, scoring in the penalty shoot-out, and also saving 4 pens in the penalty shoot out, and also saving one in extra time to keep us in the game, we now find us 18th in league one with only a couple games in, only 2 wins, and I have no money due too the board not giving me much, and not giving me any more, especially my wage budget, I'm stuck with what to do next since I don't have the players I want, or need
How do I get him to save my save coz my Cardiff one is in the mud 😢
No loans, I don't loan IRL and I certainly don't loan in FM
Have you actually been to the Island "Zealand"😂
'Be like Brighton' unfortunately Todd Boehly has been taking your advice.......................👀
I'm not sure if this is common knowledge, but apparently at least a couple of young Argentine players start with less than 6 months on their contract.
Zealand, are you aware on there being like no money in the Belgian league?
I’m doing an RFC Liege save, I’m 2 million in debt and I presume the only way to make money is getting to CL (I’m a relegation favourite)… what can I do?
Get in the champions league. Easy.
@@daviebananas1735 my team is atrocious for the level and has no money. Definitely not simple 😂
The first guy is something I've run in to and it feels game breaking. Signing a guy for £5mill, and the board accepting £6mill because to good to turn down, and I'm sure the same player would say the same is ridiculous.
It's based on reputation obviously, and the player has made the team's finances outgrow the reputation. But still, I've bought players for 10mill, and they're upset a year later because I won't sell them for £500k. They should have some understanding of the situation.
If you think you're good enough to play in a team competiting for the PL/CL titles, then surely you think you're worth more than 500k? Can't have it both ways, you're either good enough to win the PL as a leading player and command a fee of tens of millions, or you're worth 500k and should be playing for Carlisle
My League One Bath FC had 4 strikers better than Didier Guillet....well we're not League One now or that would be a worse reflection on me than on Didier😆
Am i the only one that hasn't had the board accept a offer against my will? All they've done to me is block a transfer out because they think they can get more for the player.
It only happens with clubs who don’t have much money.

as someone who has managed in Germany, you just need to over perform to get past Bundesliga 2
I actually figured out, if you talk a lot with the players, always praise/criticise for training, praise good form and performances and son on, you can actually lower their playing time status and they won't get mad at you, if you explain it. I promise them, wahtever is needed, and lower their playing time 6 months later if neccessary, and no one gets upset, cause I talk t them a lot
