I can’t believe you found an image of the HMS Boatload. That was my grandfather’s vessel. They all told him that it wouldn’t work but by god he proved them wrong. Crabbed off the coast of Hartlepool in it for several years before it was nicked and presumably spent.
Could be interesting to try something similar with "perfect players"... Team #1 has 20 perfect players under contract for a single year before they get sold, Team #2 has 19 perfect players under contract for two years up to team #20 who has one perfect player under contract for 20 years. See where the sweet spot is for how long they stick around vs how many there are.
One good idea for the channel is: take 5 top coaches like Mourinho, Klopp, Pep, Arteta, Tuchel, give them 1 billion or perfect facilities, lock them in a national league or vanerama league team and see who will gonna rise in the top fastest!
Career of perfect octuplets: Create 8 players: Two Strikers Two Wingers Two Midfielders Two Defenders This can also be a test to see if they can win a World Cup with a nation that are not even top 100.
Video idea: English pyramid down to vanorama north/south, and the facilities get flipped. So any team who has a 20 for youth recruitment, gets a 1, and a team with 4 for training facilities, gets 17. Will the flipped facilities rise up, and would the low facilities fall, or would the top teams spend their real money to improve before being dethroned?
When you do these videos I would love a short rundown of some of the worlds best players, crazy individual performances, awards, and stats that happen throughout the save. It is always intriguing to see what the game can produce.
Good move there tom, giving a larger pool of teams the facilities vs the money is much smarter than one on each side of the spectrum. Definitely negates the chance of a team being careless with their facilities or money. Hope you carry on with this format!!
The simple thing is that money does not do you any good if you don’t know how to spend it. Same goes with having young talented players, you simply do not have the staff the recognize the potential. Have you considered experimenting with giving two clubs 1bn or perfect facilities but have one club with already existing non-coaching staff (president, director of football etc.) and have another club with perfect non-coaching staff. I think that clubs with more gifted staff will have way more success and we will finally have the pleasure to see a 1bn non-league club win the PL. :)
Next time you should test which is stronger - both the perfect facilities & a billion pounds vs a perfect reputation (for the teams at least, maybe players & league as well)
Enjoying all the FM Chester stuff at the moment. Jack from WTS signed them as an affiliate club a few days ago and did one of his Away Days there around Christmas
Can you do one of these saves with either having one billion or perfect facilities and you run the club in a save and see how you can get on ? I would love to see what you can do it.
Part of where all the money goes is in to a "reserve investment fund." This is a thing the board does in good times to, presumably, protect against financial trouble later on.
Hey TomFM! I think I actually have a very hard challenge for you that would be quite entertaining. Manage FC Vaduz and win the champions league. Although they play in the Swiss system, they can only qualify for the Conference league by their national club tournament. Meaning you’d have to win the Conference League, Europa League and Champions league back to back to back. Been loving the content!
State of the art facilities are for the long run 1 billion is shorterm once you’ve ran out upgrading and buying with the facilities you can get money and spend it on players and you don’t even need to a lot because you’ve got state of the art youth facilities
Hello Tom, i have an idea of rebuild. Can you rebuild Spartak Trnava? They are good Team in Slovakia. In the 60s, they had a very good run in the Champions League. They ended the run in the semifinal against Ajax. In that tíme they had one of the best players in world. Today, they aren't that good for that i call you to get them back at this level. Thank you!!!
I think I'd like to see this done but with the money team, you give them at least a good DOF and Head of Youth because the AI always buy horrendous players and spend too much on them. Plus and I've said this for years, getting out the National League South/North and Prem is so difficult. Should be 3 or 4 up/down in each division and League 2 should increase how many get relegated. Good work though!
I support Hereford so can you please lead them to glory by giving then Good facilities 1B pounds 150,000 stadium capacity And wonder kids to start with To train
@@TomFM I absolutely love it!! Weston super mare of the VNS also have a seagull on their badge but we all know Scarborough has one of the best badges as you said.
Not sure if you took into account geography and proximity to other clubs when considering the clubs' ability to attract youth players. Clubs near Manchester that aren't United or City will always struggle to get to players coming through their youth academies/recruitment
Yup. Scarborough get good, approximately 50 years after my death. To paraphrase Homer Simpson, "Scarborough; the cause of and solution to my hatred of football."
How can you see their CA and PA when simulating through years? When i sim through on my own the game always says i'm not scouting anyone so i cant see their potential. Oh and what skin do you use?
i would pick the training facilities. in todays transfer market, £1b can be spent in just one transfer window, and as a chelsea fan, i know that too well.
Scarborough Athletic with perfect facilities has got me interested with brilliant youth players. I wonder why you come up with the insane idea and making southern teams get bigger currency 💷 without upgrading their own facilities
This is just like a shit version of Sunderland vs Newcastle. Sunderland having perfect facilities except for being 1000 seats off of having a category a stadium and Newcastle bring Saudi owned
Money doesn't do much in non-league football (in FM). If a club's reputation is too low, players won't even consider, even if you were to offer Saudi amounts of money. Youth academies are barely worth more. I remember a time when I was worse than today at FM, so I had to cheat in a 200/200 player for my VNN team. The board was adamant at selling him for 5k or so. Had to cheat him back to me. A league higher, the offers would come in around 10k. Even funnier, he only got called up to his national team (think middle-of-the-pack nation in Europe) when I was appointed as the manager and did it myself - we were probably in the Championship already by then.
Addendum: A real test would be to give teams 10,000 reputation and see where it brings them. As in: VNN - 8 teams with perfect shell, 8 teams with a billion, 8 teams with 10k rep, VNS the same. Alternatively, think of a fourth component and do 6/6/6/6. On idea would be a sponsor that brings in regular oodles of cash instead of a one-time payment.
Issue with giving the clubs 1 billion is who in charge of it. They don’t have good scouts or directors of football. Giving an idiot money won’t build up a club.
Every time anyone does one of these loads of cash videos it ends the same, the AI just can't work with that kind of money it seems, and you just end up with league 2 quality players on 100k a week which is ridiculous
Next time you should do half and half of both leagues. Just to see what happens when they face each other in the first league season
Great idea, I like that!

You should do another pentagon type challenge but for National teams instead (like Euros, Copa America ext.)

Even though the players are amazing, most of the teams don’t realize it, which is why we weren’t able to see many sides reach the premier league.

All the teams try get the same player that’s why not many transfers happen. Give a few teams money and they will improve rapidly
