I was letting this cool looking creeping fern like vine grow. It started putting up yellow flowers and was growing in a section i hadn't amended. Well I go out there one day and all the sudden it had the most knarly spiked seed pods bigger than a bean each, probably 50 of them with this types of thorns that stick in and are hard to pull out of your skin. Well I pulled up that one and all the other ones like it I could find 😅

Cool season fescue guy here . I overseeded in fall and I’m now about to put down pre emergent and I have done this before. Technically you can get away with a full grow season of fall and come back in spring and put down pre emergent. Just be careful of the bug damage

"Weeds" are not really weeds at all but they are a good indicator of what's wrong with your lawn. We have an abundance of lambs quarter and amaranth in our area. Both considered "weeds". Amaranth is an ancient grain that's gluten free and lambs quarter is a member of the spinach family. Both delicious at any stage of growth.

      **Grass Emergency Question**
Hey doc, I just sprayed my weeds using Negate and used the blue die to show where I sprayed.
I was going to use a local company (won't name names) and I cancelled the service, but my wife came home today and noticed their sign on our yard.
It's been hard to get in touch with anyone to find out what happened.
The person said they sprayed a pre and post emergent (which I already sprayed post emergent).
I don't know if they actually sprayed or not - you would think seeing a bunch of blue spots you wouldn't touch the yard.
*****I was going to follow your spring system with the scalping, pre-emergent and 10-10-10 fertilizer.... but now I don't know what to do. *****
I'm in Woodstock GA, so I have bermuda on one side and zoysia on the other (landscaped area last August).
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

We lost that Race - We have a Corner Lot with a Backyard w/Chain Link Fence that borders a Street. Bermuda did’t grow in the Path they wore down along the fence. Then the dirt continued to be worn and push into the fence bottom.
      * then, beside the poop - you’ve got the digging that they do if you have moles or gophers.
It is what it is; all you can do - is all you can do.
