To be fair, I've never been more distressed, defeated, and disappointed than in that moment, so at least it conveyed through the video well. 😂😂
still waiting for my refund
Yeaaaa.... we all are
Did you try going threw your bank? I did and got my money back
@@Pistol-wm9md I wanted to at first but now I feel like its been too long, I had too much faith that they were planning on actually refunding. I paid for the 3 day pass and paid separate for parking and was told parking lots full find somewhere else. I never saw a single band because their staff wouldn't let me in "even on foot"
Same
Don’t worry you can probably get credit for the new festival!
I think nik should go there and do a comprehensive review
With the $2000 WIFI access he could live stream it!
Blue Ridge 2023= hunger games what will Blue Ridge 2024 be? fucking Mad Max?
Lovvvve this
It’s dune part two 😂😂
If they promote it as that, I'll be there.
As someone who drove from Chicago to Virginia to attend Blue Ridge, worst 12 hours of my life driving back. Sore, sunburnt, dirty from no showers and tired because sleeping was impossible. But hey I saw Sleep Token and Lorna Shore for the first time!
My friend and I drove from bloody Canada... over $1,000 in accommodations, gas, food.. oh and the $14.50 water during stupid hot days...
I drove from Miami solo dolo! I didn’t even get to make it inside, they stopped letting people in around 3-4 pm on the 2nd day.
3 day ticket and saw ZERO bands.
@@michaelgonzalez3523 it’s so disheartening to hear this. As inside the grounds, we had no idea they stopped admissions..
You saw sleep token? I remember being turned around 90% of their set trying not to get face kicked by crowd surfers. All I got to watch was chokehold 🤣
For price level 4 on the 4 day rockstar package, you get to meet the singer of brass against and because there probably wont be any available restrooms nearby she'll have an excuse this time
I missed something somewhere. Whats gping on here?
At Rockville 2021 she pissed on some guy's face on stage
Didn’t the band’s reputation get ruined because of that moment? I honestly haven’t listened to one of their songs since the news came out.
@@davidfarney6582wait... WHAT? I missed that completely... damn, I just assumed they were studio only... had no idea they toured.
@@KozakuraRabbit to be fair that’s the one time I’ve ever heard if them
The fact that both Fyre Fest and Blue Ridge are coming back this year means the end is near. Thank god Summer Slaughter is coming back! Now we just need Warped Tour and Mayhem Fest back!
One last shameless attempt to grift as much silver off the Titanic before she finally goes under
@@RustinRoark Ain't that the f**king truth.
If you miss the Warped tour days, I highly recommend checking out the lineup for Four Chord Fest in Pittsburgh!
it gets worse every year... highlight of last year = seeing Sleep Token, Electric Callboy and Lorna Shore. negative = waiting 3 hours in a parking lot to get picked up to go to the venue and missing several bands i was excited about and then finally seeing Sleep Token but in a sea of tens of thousands of humans unable to breathe or move and trash everywhere and porta potties stacked with poopy hoards of humans walking in various directions unable to control where you're walking and hungry and thirsty and waiting until 5am to catch a bus to my car and drive 1.5 hours home and then the last two days get cancelled and i have yet to get a refund
I was at Blue Ridge Rock Festival 2023...complete disaster. Criminal operation. DO NOT GO BACK. Thank you for drawing attention to this.
2021 and 2023. F**king disaster
I hate to here this so much. I've been keeping an eye on this for years because they have such a great lineup.
Went last year, doubt I’ll ever go again.
I went for my birthday last year. Needless to say it was a horrible way to celebrate turning 40. 🙄
Do not go
same.
@JadenEthansmom I took my wife last year, her first music festival. Now she barely leaves the house 😂
@@markgates1051traumatized for eternity lol
the highest price VIP package at bloodstock this year is £860, an established festival, which architects are headlining, that's less than half the price of blue ridge lol
Gotta pay for the refunds somehow
I dunno about what package you got but I had 2 3-day general passes and all tolled paid about $750 American.
The campsite VIP 4-day passes with the after party access are obviously more, but in general they weren't that bad.
it's a scheme to pay outstanding debts and legal battles
They disabled comments on their last facebook apology and haven't mentioned anything about 2024 yet
Got to take a ride to the hospital because my wife got heat stroke. Wouldn’t take our insurance and made us pay$1500 out of pocket just to discharge us at 3:00am when no Ubers or taxis were running. Got to sleep on the hospital floor until we got an Uber at 8:00am just to drive us back and fight with security about letting us back in to our campsite. Then finally go to the festival just to be smacked around by tropical storm force winds and then ultimately cancelling the rest of the event. Such a great time it was.
Me and my friends went last year and it was every bit The shit show that is being described. We will never go back. I think the worst part for us was the fact (besides the absolute lack of sanitation, and shit transportation) that we were stuck in a lightning and thunderstorm, getting pelted by wind, rain and hail with no shelter or solid evacuation plan other than to report back to the buses, which there weren’t enough of. We stood surrounded by trees, soaking wet and waited to even get on one until 1am. We quite literally watched a Porter potty Fly through the air.
They really shouldn't be doing this festival anymore after last year. People are still waiting on refunds too. What a clusterfuck. I also remember playing the very first one haha. And it was still new but much better then. I fell asleep in our band van listening to scott stapp singing creed! Awesome!
makes me wonder if they're legit just completely out of money cause they still had to pay the people and organizations they hired so they're trying to get enough to refund rn but also. they're a company. i bet they're just tryna not let their profits take a dip and they actually could refund everyone
Lmao perfect timing I watched the Woodstock 99 documentary today
I'm pretty sure those tickets started going on sale the first day of the 2023 festival and they've been on sale ever since
Well apparently Fyre Festival 2 is happening as well
I went in 2021 and it was a disaster. Spent two years warning everyone I saw, and yet I was made out to be a liar and bad person by the community until last year happened.
Fucking SAME
Nik & Tank should organise a festival right next to the Blue Ridge site....
Oh hell yeah!!!!! Tank's video on this was awesome. A lot more in-depth.
For the record:
Those 'Price Levels' are framed like a count down until the event.
The closer the event gets, the higher the 'levels' (aka price) gets.
This makes it seem like they're almost sold out in the weeks leading up to the event, they jack up the price when FOMO kicks in, and then 2 or 4 days before the event they announce they've 'sold out' and can't sell any more tickets. ...which is bullshit, because they overbooked probably a month early.
Last year was my 3rd year going. I was able to see The Ghost Inside and Alpha Wolf. But that's it, I had 40+ bands I wanted to see
Cornhole! 😂
We got a massive annual festival in South Africa called Oppikoppi (where I first got to see Bullet for my Valentine live in 2012) that costs a fraction of even the cheapest ticket to Blueridge, it hardly cost $40 for the 3 day event and is the best music festival I've been to in any country
Call me crazy, but they HAD to have learned their lesson. I would bet it’ll be different this year.
(Let’s see how poorly this ages)
I mean think about it, people pay all this money they put next to nothing into the actual festival. They promise refunds and never deliver boom they walk away with pockets full and potentially do another one next year till it dies for good😂
For what it's worth if you use the Internet Archive Wayback Machine the site image from Sept 29, 2023 looks EXACTLY the same. Seems it's been up the whole time.
man, i love your content, i'm waiting for the matt tuck interview, my favourite youtuber interviews my favourite singer and guitarrist of my favourite band, incredible
this video better be good, I have to pause Infected Rain's latest album for this.
Edit: it was worth it, lol
Petition for Nik to buy the VIP package and be our reporter on the ground. Livestream the disaster as it's unfolding.
Went last year. Thought we were fully prepared for the festival....clearly was not prepared at all. Best part was after seeing Polyphia, waiting in line for 3 hours to get on the shuttles at 1 in the morning while it is still 80+ degrees out in teh dead of night...oh and no water left at that point. Worst festival experience I've ever had.
I’m glad to see that at least one person is excited for this, Nik 😂😂😂
So glad I went for the 2022 festival, I had a great time and got to see a lot of my favorite bands.
Remember the clusterfuck Soundwave Festival in Australia all those years ago
I don't remember it
@@Werewolf914 AJ Maddahhhhhh
Nik you should do a Stream Goal for Blue ridge Rock fest and get the full experience meme. and Video it.
I still remember a couple years back when it was peak BRRF. It happened in my hometown of little old appomattox virginia. Big ass field right behind my house. I didn't even pay for tickets. I just rode my 4 wheeler to the pipeline and could hear everything.
Never going back and I loved them at first
Imagine paying $1,000 for a $25 experience
Would you really pay $25 for Blue Ridge Rock Festival 2023? You must be a masochist then. Free seems too much for what the festival was last year.
There were 4 of us who went to that festival in 2021 and it was a shit show. That was the year they bought a campground and large amount of land for the festival and it was the only year the locals let that shit happen lol. I'm surprised it lasted this long. However our year we went it was absolute chaos and that worked to our advantage. We did whatever the hell we wanted and that helped turn it all around. I was giving people rides in my van from the camp ground to the festival area among many other things. Overall the metal community really came together and took care of each other that weekend and it was a lot of fun. Didn't realize how much worse it's gotten since then.
The number of shots made my head spin
Premium Cornhole!
In Poland we have polandrock for free
or last year's mystic festival where they couldnt finish building one stage in time
Furnace fest is the one to be at especially since it’s the last one for awhile even though they just brought it back or it may be the finale one. They left it open to either when they made the announcement since a few people were of course asking since they labeled this years
“ end of an era “. So we’ll see wish I could go to FF this year and any/everytime since all my fav bands always play.
when i heard about what ahppened at blue ridge last year I was disappointed like how tf do you mess up so much at a festival causing dehydration, poor sanitation and for bands to nearly miss their set time because you had poor management and stage crew just gave up in the end, I've seen other festivals do better and some of these aren't even rock festivals
Meet and greet in the air-conditioned bathrooms XD
Almost two thousand dollars to go to the purgatory festival? I might aswell just burn my money instead
As I am sitting here in a severe weather storm watch. I am laughing hysterically with tears rolling out of my eyes and my cheeks are hurting
I was at Blue Ridge 2023, and the cancelled 1st day of WWWY! I'm so lucky! 😂
I went there. I’m so surprised
The funny thing is that some people are actually going there bro.
opal in sky in 30 seconds????
Nik isn't just a musician anymore.
He's now also a comedian.
Not as good as Brendan Murphy, but good enough to amuse me (a little bit).
I was there and oh my god. It was everything that you have heard
This is by far.. the funniest review I have seen in years. It deadass even started off with traumatic denial 😭🤣
Holy f*** this is a festival to dump an enemy at.
The band lineup is announced as only local bands
2022 BRRF was amazing. Only missed Electric Callboy and Sion from cancelation but every other band had unbelievable sets
I had 15 hour wait in line to get into the campground, then I experienced the worst 40 hours of the entire year and ended up seeing like 2 bands and got no refund
What is it with festivals this year so far? Here in Aus they've essentially started pre-sale on next year's Knotfest because the line up this year is so lackluster they're offering discounts to next year if you buy a ticket this year.
Still waiting for my refund and I can't wait to be part of a federal class action lawsuit considering 50,000 of us lost money and were traumatized from last year.
VA is one of 2 states that dont allow class action lawsuits unfortunately
We need more Fantano reaction vids. He’s gonna review the new Knocked Loose record so be on the look out for that Nik!!!!
The wife and I are attending our first ever multi day festival, louder than life. Now you got me nervous about it!!😅
louder than life is amazing 🤘 hella drinks hella bud and hella fun
These have been on sale since last year.
Blu Rydge Fyre Festival
I would think the 5FDP Marlyin Manson Slaughter tour would be the head liners
I'm going to that one, but I'll hold off on that depending on Summer Slaughter's line up this year
They just stop by the private acoustic concert tent and strum a singe chord on the way to soundcheck.
“ just free fun a success” haha
cant wait for the netflix documentary
Nik will you be attending wecome to Rockville this year?
I’m surprised band booked this festival after what happened but of course I need to see the roster
that year was not the only bad year of it. i went the previous year and they had everybody park 2 miles away, then tried to bus everybody there with LITERALLY 3 BUSSES TOTAL FOR EVERYBODY. Garbo.
I can't imagine in germany they would have been allowed to even open the gates. That really puts the "bad" stories from Wacken into perspective 😅
Nik's Blue Ridge Rock Festival Vlog?
I got PTSD from that shit last year
As someone who has gone to every Blue Ridge Rock Fest from the start (2017) EXCEPT for 2023, I can verifiably say every year has had its own shitshow in some way or another… I remember some campers near where my dad and I parked had a sewage line for the festival bathrooms explode onto all their shit (pun not intended), including their camping gear, vehicles, and themselves.
That said, I’ve had a blast every year, and have avoided a lot of the trouble that has came from Blue Ridge, miraculously.
Thank GOD I had to miss last years.
i bought tickets for friday night for my brother and myself. we drove 9 hours to see sleep token. thankfully we went the day that wasn’t cancelled and i got to see sleep token. on my way home they announced they were cancelling the festival for the rest of the weekend.
I drove 17 hours before getting to the camp area. I lasted 3 hours and left. Absolutely the worst experience of my life
To be clear, they started selling passes at the start of the 2023 festival. They took down ticket sales after these articles started going around.
I don't know about you, but I'd totally get that VIP pass for a comedically human-sized hamster wheel with a comedically human-sized water feeder device.
Aah shi... what the flip here we go again 😔
nik can you do a how to make a thall tones?
I kind of want to get geared up and go to this. Bring a portable toilet, food, water, ps5. And just admire the despair around you while living like a king.
Puddle of mud will be the headliner.
I remember the Exit 111 festival in TN (at the Bonnaroo grounds)got cancelled after 1 year because ticket sales were slightly lower than expected. I'm not aware of any major scandals around them (I could be wrong, though. I didn't attend, I just live nearby so I knew about it and wanted to see how it went before trying to go the next time.) and they still called it quits. Why is it always the unmitigated FEMA-level disasters that get second chances?
Sonic Temple is the most stacked (imo) and the most organized (imo, based off experience) rock/metal festival. HIGHLY Recommend
Going this year, haven’t been there since it was Rock On the Range in 2018. Super excited!
Nik kinda be sounding like Pops from Regular Show from time to time
I cannot wait for Tank to react to this news.
6:13 not even Arby’s would bring THE MEATS to blue ridge
Security was the most dangerous thing I’ve ever seen. Legit didn’t look for ANYTHING in bags.
BYOE, bring your own everything
They were literally advertising this year’s event at last year’s event. 😂
This has been up on the site since last year before everything happened, its just funny people are talking about it now lol
Shit makes me rage
The best part about this video: When you are subscribed to Nik you get a free little water bottle icon at the bottom right of the screen. Even here the water supply is better than at Blue Ridge :D
the fact that cornhole is a genuine speaking point for the VIP PACKAGE which is UPWARDS OF $550 is fucking hilarious
The tickets were on sale since the day they had the festival
Being from near the area this is held... There isn't a lot of great venues that hold hard rock nearby. It's like you bring water to people living in a desert without very much water. Then the water is kinda of really crappy and disease plagued but doesn't necessarily kill you but tries. It's like, oh okay. I guess I'm okay with this.
For an additional VIP level, do they offer access to the “medical facilities” aka a box of bandaids and bacitracin?
It's sad, but that's the only music festival that ever happens anywhere near me. Id probbly still go given the chance
They were selling tickets for 2024, while 2023 was going on
We gotta get a “How to Silent Planet” song!!!
Also people going you may have to clean up last years mess still in order to setup your stuff
I almost had heat stroke and didn’t see any of the bands I wanted to see lol
