There are parts of this song with blast beats and guttural vocals as the main focal point, but still feel like a soft song. That is amazing composition skills.

I'd like to thank all of Ne Obliviscaris for making music. I've been a fan since 2007 since their "Aurora Veil" demo. I've been going thru a major bipolar depression and the music has been one thing that has helped me get thru it. Thanks; I'd like to let a band member know I was/am suicidal and this song, as many others, takes my mind to an indescribable place even though my brain has turned on me.

This band never disappoints. Eyrie, Plague flowers, as Icicles fall, pertichor weaves black noise, and Pyrrhic are my personal favorites.
Triptych Lux is their masterpiece imo

Loreley is a big rock in Germany, not far from St. Goarshausen where they hold the Night of Prog festival. Nice place to be. Funny some Australians would write about it.
U.V. S. Lorelei is a mythological spirit who would lure sailors to their death with her song, kinda like a Siren. Also, not that uncommon for bands to sing about geographical/historic places, especially seen as the band has been to Germany a few times now.

Am I the only one that feels like Xen DOES NOT get enough credit? Yes, Tim's cleans are wonderful, but THERE IS NO NE O WITHOUT XEN! The pair are inseperable. Also, Xen is my personal favorite harsh vocalist of all time. Something about his voice, especially in this album, just.. SGFEFGF EARGASM!

I think Xen is phenomenal harsh vocalist, but I don't enjoy harsh vocals. So I'd prefer most of their songs with him removed entirely. That being said, they are still my favorite band.

It is amazingly Beautiful! And the Music that blends with it in my opinion is Gorgeous. I'm a musician and this is jawdropping! I appreciate that the entire band gave us not only there art, but also there passion in this song. From all musicians who poured there love of music and the artistry & passion of all instruments all speaks for themselves. The vocalists and there lyrics is amazing. In the end to me, I don't know about anyone else but all instruments and vocals have there on voice. And it blends so very well in my own opinion.

First thing I do when I wake up is listen to Portal of I. Then I have breakfast, grey vultures of course. After I eat I have my shower where I listen to Citadel. As a cleanser, I like to go for a run where I typically listen to a lighter album like Urn. When I get back it's lunch time and I'll listen to Portal of I while I anoint myself beneath an aqueduct. While I anoint myself I like to enjoy a nice documentary, specifically one about Australian prog metal bands. Following that extended screen time I like to keep my mind sharp with some reading. So I'll read and interpret the lyrics to Portal of I, of course I have the album playing in the background so I'm 100% focused.
By now my day is going pretty good and I usually want to share it with somebody else. So I'll call up some friends to hang out. We like to navigate the continuum flux together but mostly we listen to Urn. After we all listen to the album together in our listening circle we head back to my place for dinner where I serve up some grey vultures to sate our hunger. Just for the sake of ambiance, I'll play Citadel in the background. Dinner conversation tends to be lively as we each share our favorite moments from Ne Obliviscaris' output.
My friends go home after this, as the fun as to stop somewhere. I'm only human so pardon me if this is graphic but I do enjoy a bit of masturbation before I sleep. I'm not really adventurous, I masturbate to vanilla, lesbian sex and bdsm (a woman drowning in her lover's arms being my favourite) but mostly just the cover art of Portal of I. Following that I clean myself up and unwind with a bit of music; Forget Not being my favorite. That's when I hop into the shower for a brief and relaxing warmth, I'm pretty clean by now I just want to ease up my muscles. Then it's time for bed. Being something of an audiophile I like to listen to music while I sleep. After I hit play to start up the song 'Tapestry of the Starless Abstract' I drift to sleep.
So it sounds to me like you like metal. Allow me to introduce you to this band called Ne Obliviscaris. You may have heard of them. They're pretty good.

Might be my favorite song from you guys. Didn't think anything would ever surpass Painters of the Tempest (Part II). This is a complete masterpiece. All the music you guys make is just on an entirely different level. Amazing voices on both fronts; harsh and clean. Love the beautiful singing over the rough screaming. That's one of my favorite things in metal and you guys do it so well.
Maybe Pyrrhic is my favorite, it's so hard to choose. Everything Ne O has made is just amazing.

These guys restored my faith in music. I was starting to think that everyone sounds the same, everything sucks, all the good music has already been played. Then I hear this. Literally changed my life for the better and gave me hope that there's more out there, more to be done, great things yet to be discovered. All that from just music, really? Yeah, really.
