I love The Magic of The Grave. He's still got it. That hypnotic gift, somehow dragging out the same riff for minutes without it ever feeling played out. Varg won in the end, home on his own land, a big family and a really impressive body of work.
The productions is awesome. Great raw, live sound. Drums sound great. Let's hope the next album we get some blast beats and the dying orc screams. Awesome stuff.

Muchos señalan que es " mala música", pero todo sabemos que él no es un virtuoso musicalmente hablando, pero lo que compone si bien es sencillo es bien estructurado , hecho con puro sentimiento, uno siente la esencia de su arte, una música que te trasporta a diversos lugares. ¿ Es qué para hacer " buena música" se necesita ser un virtuoso con los instrumentos"? . La respuesta es no, solo estructurar bien tu tema, componer con el alma, que tu arte llegue a trasmitir sentimientos, ser creativo, y Varg es un ejemplo de ello.
Pero Burzum ..¿ No es black-metal.? Osea satanismo. Hay otros grupos de buen death metal que deleitan con su buen hacer musicalmente sin tener basura en sus letras y temática.
Los últimos meses he estado escuchando con mayor detenimiento y conciencia su obra... Es espectacular la forma en como transmite su sentir: oscuridad, más allá de estereotipos y etiquetas. Su música es hipnotizante. Me declaro fan de Varg y Burzum.
Compared to past albums this is done very clean. To me its closer to classical and Odinistic folk music than black metal. Which is great because why stay in lower vibrations. If uoure an old man making the same music it is sad. If youre an old man creating as uour mind and view points expand then that is a true artist. Thanks Varg.

Not gonna lie. I held out on listening to this new album because i thought it was going to be another ambient work. I'm so pleased to hear some electric burzum guitars again.
