A few years back, my father in law and I were hiking and we accidentally went on a trail that hadn't been maintained for years. We ended up having to cut through very think brush near the top of a mountain for a mile or so in order to navigate our way back to the real trail. At one point, we stumbled into a bears den with dead baby bear pelts (male bears eat young bears). I asked him how long it had been since a human stood where we were. Probably over 100 years, he answered. This album makes me think of those places, the forgotten spots in nature. I like to imagine someone hundreds or thousands of years ago cutting through the same spot where we stand. Who were they? What were they doing? As the album says, Nature Stays Silent and keeps her secrets.

That's a bunch of selfrighteous nonsense right there. If people want to help nature or make it better, they will need to get of their high horse and start doing something themselves besides belittling others.
Haven't felt this feeling when listening to an album since Elderwind's Magic of Nature. This is great.
That is also one of my favourites.
I do like listening to that mid winter, late at night, just stood outside the back door.
Music just loud enough to hear, with a nice coffee in hand.
Last song, Polaris sounds so cold, i stare into the night sky.
i feel soo happy and proud to be one of these people who can perceive the enormous beauty and immensity of music like this. Can't explain with simple words what I feel when I listen to this, it's like I amb here but not. I belong to another world that is no the material one...
music is feelings and anything else that you cannot put into words and if you perceive them, it is incredibly beautiful

Simply saying "this is one of the greatest albums I've heard in awhile" doesn't cut it. Truly at a loss for words. I remember clearly when I first got lost in it, and since then, it's been in heavy rotation. I needed this.

I love the production, it gives an extra edge to the atmosphere, better than if it would've been clear.
Cimbals and bass sound very fuzzy and muffled, they almost muffle also the guitars and vocals. The music is still great, it's just the production that's weird and fuzzy.
Too much compression I guess.

I am huge fan of Melodic death and i used to hate black metal because of many bad song that I have heard and their extreme harsh vocals
but thanks to you I experienced the beauty of the genre

I'm not usually a huge BM fan. I was raised on a lot of Folk music, so I've always loved "pretty" sounding music. This is really an amazing collection, so thank you for sharing. I'm really loving it.
Beautifully Orchestrated Masterpiece
This is the best album I've heard so far in 2019. That is a high standard given that this channel has always been dependable to bring great bands to UA-cam.

This is a whole new kind of metal! full of "harmony"! but still a really good "epic metal"! although it sometimes sounds almost like a "new age" production! or even like if it were the Official Sountrack for some kind of "Tolkien" fantasy movie! but still an excelent "epic metal" production! 👍

Though this band are Swiss, their name is Welsh and means A Bard's Song.
The band name is Welsh? For quite some time I thought it's a place from Middle Earth
@@aandrei99 both the Elvish and Dwarven languages in Tolkien's Middle Earth are heavily influenced by the Welsh language; Tolkien loved Welsh, you can find quotes of his praising it and the sounds it makes.
@@Scrinwaipwr I don t know why I only remembered him mentioning the Finnish influence,totally forgot about the Welsh one, but I guess that explains it. Amazing album nonetheless
@@aandrei99 I forgot about the Finnish influence, but it makes sense given the nordic themes in Tolkien's work. (And yes, Finland has a different culture than Scandinavia)

I have heard a ton of albums already this year, but this one has stayed with me. I wasn't expecting to love it as much as I do, but am glad I found it, and gave it a chance. Beautiful, and heavy. It's funny, but the opening few minutes reminds me of Mono's For My Parents at points, but that might just be me. There is a good mix of influences, in my opinion. I realize there will be detractors, as there always are, but I certainly appreciate this album.

I had no idea that anyone listened to dismal euphony but me. I heard " Carven" on a Nuclear Blast promotional sampler it was the same time I found Hecate Enthroned the 1st time! I love the symphonic stuff with a variety of singing styles ! GOT 2 LUV PRETTY METAL . I love that symphonic black metal. I can't do the first wave albums that sound like they were recorded in old garbage cans off an AM transistors radio from the forties!

I was expecting welsh folk songs but this is nice too (Cân Bardd means bard's song in welsh).
Been listening more and have to say, as a solo project, this is pretty amazing. As someone who enjoys the bands he names as influences like Caladan Brood & Gallowbraid and Saor (among others) I'm really interested in what Cân Bardd has up next, and will be listening as he develops his craft! \m/

This album is absolutely serene, I love it.
This is some of the greatest black metal I have heard in a long time. Mind you, I listen to Thy Light, Unreqvited, Burzum, Watain, Darkthrone, and Elderwind, so this is a strong statement. I closed my eyes and felt so at peace and creative during this.
