Wondering what the cable adjustable is supposed to be set at? I changed out the throttle cable on mine and can’t seem to find what the cable adjustment should be. Anyone have a manual or experience they can share?
Hey buddy, I just got a Yamaha RT100 dirt bike and the oil injection tubing line was cut off, do you happen to know what size tubing it is? It's small and I need to know the size before ordering some tubing online.
Tony Montana They are adjustable but you really shouldn’t need to. Mine had a yellow site/reference mark on it which showed if it was adjusted from its original position from the factory. I’d be willing to bet that the pump mechanism is not closing all the way which is what is dumping too much oil into into the fuel mix. I had that same problem and removed the pump and inserted the plug. I recommend taking the pump cover off and spraying it down with a lubricant like WD40 or something. This will allow the mechanism to function easily without any binding. Try it. See if it improves. Good luck. 👍🏻
@@DirtBikeDaryl I'm going to pull it out this weekend. The real problem that I'm having is at full throttle. It almost feels like a rev limiter which of course the bike doesnt have. All the research i've done points to the oil pump. Most people just block it off and premix and it typically takes care of the problem. I'd love to be able to keep the pump in the bike and just drop how much it allows through. Is that bolt with the locknut the adjustment? I really appreciate the advise.
@@DirtBikeDaryl I should say, the bike runs great otherwise. This is strictly a full throttle issue. I have a set of reeds on order which could be part of the problem as well.
Tony Montana Yeah... The bike will really wake up when you take that pump off and mix the gas on your own. 40:1 seems to be the magic number for me. Also, check the exhaust and make sure the restrictor is removed. It’s basically a washer that limits the exhaust flow which in turn bogs the motor. I doubt you have it on there but it’s worth a quick peak when you’re diagnosing.
@@DirtBikeDaryl oh yea, it's been removed! That was the first thing I checked when I bought the bike. Do you happen to know how to adjust that oil pump? I've searched it quite a bit and haven't found much online. I appreciate the help/responses.

Hi what connects to the brass nipple in the pump

Tony Kart Racer
Unfortunately I don’t know off hand. If I had to guess I would think about 1/8” inside diameter.
You wouldn't happen to know if these pumps are adjustable do you? Mine is throwing too much oil.
