Lovely Becky, it is such a joy for me to watch you and be able to see the obvious joy you have for the life that you have chosen. Not every many people get to live their dream as you are, hope you continue to give such inspiration to the many who follow your exploits, as you do for me. Take care, be safe as you walk on.
I may be selfish in saying...That I really miss you and your sister and family sitting around a campfire, sipping soups or teas and laughing about whatever topic makes you wish to chuckle :) Never enough LOVE ...never enough or too much.
Thank you for sharing your outdoor adventures. I am regularly amazed by your skills and fantastic attitude. Very refreshing to see someone as yourself so enthusiastic about the great countryside and developing the necessary skills to stay in the forests. Thanks again and keep them coming.
So few people actually do this anymore, life seems to be lived online, people are too busy on their phones, social media that nature and getting outdoors into the wilderness is literally almost a thing of the past. I myself love these type of videos, i have no real camping or hiking experience but have just spent over £200 on a load of gear (tent, sleeping bag, lantern, torch etc) & will be doing this a lot more. Thankyou "GirlOutdoors" for inspiring me to want to do this ! Peace - from Cornwall UK
Thank you for your lovely comment Nick, I hope you use all your gear now summer is on its way, I hear theres some beautiful places to camp in Cornwall:) take care
@@GirlOutdoors Yes lots of good spots down here & a safe part of the Country aswell. Since i left facebook behind, stopped smoking & basically realised that getting outdoors & back to basics is very good for our health and wellbeing i now spend most of my spare time just out exporing and enjoying the beauty around me. Rarely see anyone about though that's what worries me it seems almost like a thing of the past to get out and explore for most people!
Hey Becky Love the vlog, inspiration to all. Top tip from experience, always feel for heat with the back of your hand. Whether it's a gas stove or a kettle the palm of your hand is far more sensitive takes longer to repair and rendered useless if burnt. If you burn the back of your hand you can still grip and use it. take care care and keep up the great work. 😄
Fantastic chucks, your confidence grows and grows. Your photography, capturing that moment, scene.. takes time skills, slow down a wee bit and you have what it takes to be a very good film maker.... Wot you do have is passion and youth. All the best.
Watching you from the Philippines. I love that young as you are you are brave and determined and know what you want to do with your life. I will always pray for your safety.
Hello again my Dear Friend :) I love those foggy mornings! That is why these mountains where I live are called "The Smoky Mountains." It is not because of smoke, yes there is some, but mostly because the clouds stack up while moving from west to east and change the weather in the favor of those winds. So, in my Heart, these Smoky Mountains are Mother Nature wrapping US in her arms. I love you! Never forget your Friends here in these Smoky Mountains ~~~*~^^*^^^~~~
'There Will Always Be An England:' THANK YOU FOR SHOWING US SOME OF THE BEST OF IT! LOVE to see the Ordnance Survey Maps. Last Summer, I used a 'flashlight' or 'telescope' style of bivy bag with hoops at head and feet. They DO provide a lot of shelter from insects (mesh inner tent) and rain and wind. Not so good for space inside on rainy days. One of the underrated outdoor skills is having the patience to wait out disastrous weather.
Great video! Enjoyed going along. As many have commented you have a great smile and I love your accent! Watching you makes me feel young again! Thanks.
Good morning Becky & Everyone ! It seemed like such a peaceful & relaxing area to be ! I love the way you capture all of nature's smallest of creations. I've came to the conclusion that anything that comes in a pre packed package, once opened will never fit the same. Except for the potatoe chip bags, which are twice as big as their contents... Thank you for sharing & keep smiling !
Quite the pack size for an over nighter. I made the switch from tent to hammock and it saves loads of room and weight in my pack. Nice video regardless!
Hi Becky. I recognised the Primus stove. A great well designed stove. Good stability with 3 folding leg design and detached gas regulator. This low centre of gravity stove is safer to use in tent awnings over others. Can use tent pegs through the feet to secure on uneven ground. Just a shame the gas regulator weighs so much as it is the heaviest part of the stove. The piezo igniter has packed up on mine so do hope you carry an ignition backup such as matches. Have tried MSR multi fuel stoves and Primus multi fuel Ti omnite but for gas stove with piezo igniter your stove wins the day for ease of use!
Excellent video as always Becks and so therapeutic and love the Surrey countryside and recognise bits from the cycle ride you had with your sister in the summertime. So Yeah!! 😍

Hey Girl Outdoors, I subbed and have been binge watching your channel for a week...you're the real deal, good on ya! You are a needed change to the bushcraft/bug out/tacticool/wannabe/afraid to sleep alone/tool bag in a tent crowd...AND you completely SLAY the first-time-in-the-woods, clickbait, hair product, fair weather, hippie chicks out there too!!! Keep up the good work and stay frosty!
Awesome landscape, wish I was there to experience it as well but u said good news at the end ,going to go home an pack for next camp video so I get another one soon

Just out of curiosity do you carry a sowing kit on long hikes ? Just in case one of the straps fail on your bags ? Its happend me before was a bad day 😂 now I always carry a sail needle and braided fishing line
I hope you have a darker color jacket you can wear the next time you go out camping so you don't stand out so much. Your camping gear is nice and you seem to be prepared for trips out overnight and is aware of the dangers, but I hope you will better prepare your kit for the overnighters and it is good that you was able to get the extra water at the one place you stopped at so you are able to get by even longer without being thirsty. Your parents must really worry about you until you return home when you go out walking the paths and roadways hiking and camping out overnight. I can't blame them as I would be the same way if you was my daughter.
Nice location, never been but maps show a water source very near to wear you were cooking called tiller springs? Will have to pop down their one day as woods & hills are my favourite spots.
Nice one Becky. Shame about your tent poles coz it looked like the Vango is easy to pack away. Course we do have a lot more water in Scotland 🌨🌨. I admire your courage to camp alone.
Wow! Its Becky again. My most favorite hiker, camper, video producer and photographer. The Surrey Hills is a beautiful area. Is it part of Box Hill? Keeping you pack high reduces upper and lower back pain. Would pulling a little wagon be better than carrying extra stuff? The orange arrow is pointing up? Its called trail mix in America and it is really good stuff. Bright colors keeps you from getting lost.? Morning coffee is important. Holly berries. Another super excellent hiking and camping video. Have a super extra wonderful day.
Becky you are such a delight to watch, being from Texas I could listen to your accent all day long. The waterfall the tower...I have to visit England someday...you are a walking advertisement of your country. Pretty lady I cannot wait to see what you do next ❤ Texas
Great overnighter - thanks for sharing. One night or a few you still need what you need as far as some thing to cook on, sleep, shelter, etc. Does your hammock set up pack any smaller than the tent or bivy options you could have brought? again - thanks.
Hello, love your channel, been following it for a little bit now, it's all done very very well. I have a question, here in the States you cannot go hiking or camping anywhere without the chance of running into some sort of predator. Where I am at and do most of my hiking we have bear, wild boar, panthers, bobcats, coyote, crocodiles and alligators so you always have to be mindful. I was wondering if you have any predators where you are that you have to be mindful about?
@@davidpayne1519 Believe it of not Central Florida. I hike the entire state, so there are a diversity of wild predators here. Everyone thinks it's all Disney and beaches but it has a ton of hiking and forests.

It was a nice touch if you planned it, but if not, you have a little mystery on your hands. 😯

When putting on a heavy pack , try bringing it up to one knee first then slip one arm into the strap. Straighten up and put the other arm in.
