You and your sister are an inspiration to other females, to say I can. I can go camping, I can do Bushcraft, a can do attitude. Not afraid to try things, not afraid to make mistakes and to learn new skills 👍🏻
Your skills, determination and fore thought are so impressive for a person of your age! Thanks so much for sharing and allowing us to be a part of what you do in your amazing life. It is quite the honor!
You and Louise work very well together and are quite the carpenters. And the new cabin style shelter is looking outstandingly outstanding. Working in a hail storm in the middle of June. Wild weather. And am amazed that you can saw and use the hatchet with either hand. And looks like Buster is being the silent supervisor. A draw knife is one of the best tools for taking off bark along with sizing a piece of wood to create a dowel. Drilling a percussion center hole with a hand drill and an auger bit is also amazing. It is an absolute joy to watch you build things. Another super great video of your camping. Enjoy and above all, have a super wonderful day.
Pleased to see the boots serving you well. Your skills now are really coming together and at home outside. It’s the way to be. You carry on becks the wilderness is your destination.
Poor old Lou got totally Loo'd in that hailstorm. And when she came on camera to talk about the Tippy Tap.I thought she was going to say "Look everyone.I've made a new woodland friend".But it wasn't a bird on her head. She had just put her hair up! You're doing a great job.Well done.
Wonderful Loved seeing you with your hair down,it makes what you are doing that much more special. I have a feeling the "cabin" will make your camp even more enjoyable, diffidently a drier place to enjoy a fire in the rain. Hope you and your family are doing well, stay safe and take care.
Becky looks great. I haven't seen the tools you used ( draw knife and brace and bit ) for years...brings back fond memories. Thank you two pretty ladies . ❤ from Texas.
Great job! You two thought of some interesting new (for the average bushcrafter) ways of putting things together and implemented them in good time! Thanks for sharing!
Enjoyed this video with that cute sister of your's!! (What the hail!!)....hope you've made Fathers Day a great one for Bushwacker Man!! Sending love from Niagara Falls NY USA❤❤❤❤
You all have nearly become full time bushcrafters and I hope it is paying off for you both. I love the look of the shelter you and Louise are putting up and hope the system works for you. The frame does look stable and you all just have to work on the sides and get that where it is stable also. That is valuable information Louise learned and now putting into practice here 👌👍😊🍿.
Another great video. I love the use of the older tools and methods. That’s how I do things. I’ve been collecting and using tools from the 1800’s. I would suggest using your draw knife for debarking as well. Tell Lou she is working to hard with that axe lol. Well off to her channel now to view the head lamp. Take care and stay safe.
Amazing shelter and building skills!# you keep learning and sharing. Thanks much for sharing this video and blessings to you and your family 👼🇺🇸 stay safe!
Loving the look of that draw, knife...well handy tool to have in the arsenal Becky. Looks like you are getting the dwelling abd drilling down to a fine art. Even saw you using your right hand with the hammer! Good stuff! Lou was stripping tgat bark like a pro lol. She has so much in the way of ideas to bring to camp...love it!
If I could give too thumbs up I would 👍🤠👍I haven’t commented in some time but still watch.,I must say!!Your skills have grown soooo much in the last year Good for you girl 👍CHEERS👍&to your moms&pops also Be safe in what you do”Have fun God blessings be with yah’ll
"Me and Lou."? ....Lou and I and that's not posh! That's correct English! That aside, great demonstration especially working in the rain. Brava. Nice shelter.
Watching your family's videos I am suddenly reminded of the classic novel: SWISS FAMILY ROBINSON. Cast ashore by shipwreck, they salvage tools and bits from the ship and begin a new life. Anyway, I always like to see a bit of joinery in bushcraft and not just lashings.
dig 2 more holes one in the middle of the front and back that are longer than your corner poles drill them and tap them with your dowels, on top put dowles in them and get one more pole to go from back to front that way you have ridge pole. in joy
Love the joinery, wooden pegs all natural, great work,I'd love to do something on my perm aswell, but its not far away enough from possible pillocks who might trash it,one day hopefully I can do some build vids on my channel aswell, great setup though. One additional, you might want to try no36 bank line rather than paracord for building projs.
Great vid, beter skills then ive ever had...normally buy not build.i go with my dog and hes old so has to be a quick set up.have a look at my last vid under roaming rambler...look forward to next vid.
I know you put a lot of work into this but here’s some critique. Your roof isn’t slanted so won’t shed water. There are nose triangles in your structure so it will blow over easily. You debarked most of your polls so they will rot faster. Sinking your polls in the loose soil won’t be enough to prevent blow over. There’s no walls. You did a great job! Love the it.
Quick question, why did you not char the ends of poles going into ground? Usually gives them slightly longer life, especialy just wehere earth and air meet
the original british army camo is the best looking out there in my opinion like yours. did buster lay down under your new build like he did with the others?
The forest is really quiet, the are people should be outsid find the natures life. We are part nature also, The natures useful our around the world for the national of person and animals, Thank you. I admire the hand work! Especially the lashing - not so many will learn their knots these days.

Hi Becky just wanted to let you know , if you don't already. They Moved the Bus from ''Into the Wild'' by Chopper.

Great job I’m so jealous do you own the land coz in Scotland we need to “leave no trace “
Is she from Scotland?
Bravissima 👍🏽
It's great to be outside your home, but where do you go to the bathroom?
BRAVO 👸🏻👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👌🏼🤙🏼❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🏰⛺❤
Consider to burn the surface of the part you put inside the ground so it last longer. It takes longer time to addle.
Maravilha 💚💛 Brasil !
