People are so alike as they are so different. I grew up in Surrey in Canada and school wasn’t my thing either even though I completed it🙃 it was a waste. I think you chose wisely. Cheers lady. I know how you feel about bring an extrovert introvert I totally get it. I had an interesting explanation to me I might share with you sometime. I enjoy your adventures all the way back where you started and your solos now. I like just a chill video of a lovely person camping and having fun. Can I ask, little lady, will you take your percy with you to Canada, as one thing I must say is perhaps look into seeing if yiu can get a proper roof tent that's attached to your landy ., see roaming wild on this channel.. To see what I mean. I have seen one landy here (UK) defender same as yours. Thanks for the content. Think your wonderful, stay positive, keep happy and stay lovely. Thanks for most recent up here I. I the land of haggis, snow, n beauty. Xxx ta sweetie
I have been watching your channel for some time. When you talked about how you got started and some negative comments, I just remember thinking how totally awesome it is for a young person to spend weeks in the woods in a tent, learning skills and taking care of herself with the support of family when so many other kids at that age would be out partying or doing devisive things. Kudos to you and your life choices.😊
Remember watching you years ago when you were talking about your decision to leave school and not go to uni or anything. Bet you're glad now that you followed youfr decision and put your trust in what was calling you. !
I'm 25 and just started hiking, been going up the local hills. Been planning my own routes about 1hr30 at a time and I'm loving every second of being up there
Your honesty and frankness in describing and sharing your experiences is beyond entertaining! Thank you so much for helping aspiring bike packers like myself by giving us an honest inside look at the ups & downs of it all. Best of luck to you!!
You know, Becky, you are one extra fantastic young lady. And your dad helped to encouraged you to follow your dreams and that is what you are doing. You have also discovered that one does not need much space to be comfortable. Then therefore, you may want to stay with Percy. Stay with plan A as it seems to be the best for you. So Crack on young lady and have a super extra wonderful day.
Hey, Becky. Not sure what kind of problems you’re having with Percy, but if they’re intermittent and if you’re running anything additional that requires electricity, you may look into upgrading your alternator to a larger output. Alternators can cause strange problems. Keep up the great content and stay safe, Becky.
Hi, I am a 61 year old woman who is still trying to do long distance hikes and trails even if I have to take a bit more time to complete them. I love watching your videos and I envy your youth and energy though I still enjoy the challenge of long distance paths and I will be walking the Northumberland Coast Path in a few weeks. I notice that you use a solar panel on your backpack to charge your electronic devices. What type do you use? I need something really light as the heavier my pack the more my feet suffer.
You're genuine and real. You're not trying to play the part of a character or some alter-ego like many other youtubers and TikTok people seem to do. This is one of my favorite youtube channels.
I just discovered your channel and I'm obsessed! It is inspiring to see a young woman like you going on these adventures, appreciating the outdoors and sharing your passion. So, thank you for sharing :)
Excellent vlog as usual Becky. You are an old head on young shoulders for sure. Love watching your journey both the highs and lows. We all get lonely at times. You can sometimes feel just as lonely in a crowded room, if you have nothing in common with the crowd .
Hi Becky, I’ve been watching your channel pretty much since you started and I must say it’s been so wonderful to watch you develop into such a wonderful young woman with such a beautiful mindset for the world and the outdoors. It’s also been a joy to watch your confidence increase in front of the camera over the years along with the quality of your videos. All the hard work and consistent commitment to producing your content has finally paid off and it’s absolutely all down to you. Congratulations on your channel and I look forward to watching your inspirational videos for hopefully many more years to come. All the very very best to you and your family. Mike🙂
Love the honesty and integrity of this video. The offer for you and Jake to come along for some canoe stuff still stands. If you ever fancy some freelance bushcraft or outdoor instructor work drop me a message as it would be a privilege having you as part of my team. Never loose sight of your dreams - the world is waiting for you!
You remind me of my youngest daughter !, both strong minded and independent..only difference is you’d walk through a muddy puddle she’d walk around it ..(doesn’t like getting dirty 😢😆).. keep the vids coming and keep smiling .. take care .. just subbed
A really interesting Q&A. The thing that most comes through is how you have thought a lot more about what makes you happy and what is important in life than most people of your age. Your videos always inspire.
I remember when you first started your channel after subscribing to your dad's one. It was an inspiration watching a youngster starting up and yes, you were very nervous to start with...am proud to have witnessed your journey from the beginning and to watch your confidence grow and watching you shine now. It's been an amazing journey so far and look forward to more. The thing I miss is when you and dad get together, with all the banter and laughter between you both. Hope to see more again in the future. Much love mate ❤
I admire you so much, for a twenty-one year old, you have such an old head on young shoulders. I've followed you for a while, your content is fun and honest. I've hiked, camped and climbed for over fifty years, home and USA., I'm now 79, so most of thats now behind me, so its such a pleasure following your adventures. If someone can tell me how, i would love to become a patron? Safe, happy travels, look forward to the next episode.
I only wish You Tube was around when I was a young man to video the trips I did back in my youth!..There is a very honest approach in all your videos, and I wish you many more adventures to come…A lot of people my age ( late 50’s) aren’t watching TV shows anymore, they’re watching you tube and Netflix ( here in the US at least) so you tubers kinda become our “tv stars” in a way…keep up the great work!
There's a place in Willenhall (not far from J10 M6) called J. L. Services that I used to use for my Disco 2. If you've not tried there then it might be worth a visit when you're next in the area. Hope you get it sorted. Stay safe
Very interesting cycling story, I admire that you didn't follow the olympic thing., I'm an avid cyclist, mainly road, and some gravel. Michigan, USA. I watched several videos, very entertaining, keep it up.
I was going to ask why not a 4x4 transit van for the space but you answered it lol. Looks great what your doing. Not easy in the uk, good luck and well done
I’ve been following your channel since close to the beginning and your courage has always amazed me. The haters, who we hope are few, make the kindness all that much richer. Keep it up!🎉😊
You have a great channel! You're making me a bit jealous with your gallivanting because I haven't been able to get out in the backcountry as much as I'd like lately (kitty care has been a bit of a challenge because my little baby has an autoimmune condition that lead to an expensive tooth extraction)... but I'm jazzed to get out more, and hopefully with my little baby :) Hopefully when you make it back to Canada I'll get a chance to say hello in person, and introduce you to my adventure furball in training :)
I look forward to when you put out a new video, thanks for the lovely insight into your life and who you are. You always inspire me to get outdoors more often and plan adventures to look forward to.
Thank you for doing this, people wonder and have questions. I watch yours and Jake’s channel and think I wish I had done these things at your age. I am 53 and have a 23 year old daughter who I wish would do the things you do and have your confidence. I think to myself what if I had done travelling, but then I probably wouldn’t have had my daughter. All emotional things to consider and way up. The best thing ever was my daughter so be travel has waited for me until now.
Oh good and sensible about settling down somewhere and you realising about vans and it not being a long term option. Mature. Can’t wait to see where you and Jake end up
The fact you're only 21 is amazing. Love this channel. Great work and wish you all the best as this channel grows. Some great Q&A Good to know some of ya background. 👍 ❤ 😊
Hiya, what an inspiration you are I have nine grandchildren and I hope they have a similar ethos on life. If you want a home base you should consider an old place in France land is relatively cheap and France is quite central. Limoges and the SW France is quite secluded. What's the issue with the engine? Have a great adventure
I had a landy disco 2 TD5 for years, a told you earlier, i loved it…. Regarding engine noise, top tip: buy bitumen mats , i used Sinuslive ADM-20 Bitumen mat (l x b x h) 500 x 200 x 2.7 mm Buy 20 pcs. They are self adhesive! And can be cut very easy…. Clean the firewall, engine side panels AND dismount the inner doors and stick them on every metal sheet you can find…. You do not need to cover it completely, it dampens very well….. 2 poly prop low and midrange speakers and 2 tweeters and filters and the standard radio/amp will do quite a good job imho…. TD5 engine is quite sturdy imho.. i hope they can cure the current issue…. I have seen all your scandinavian flogs, but apart from the cooling hose i have seem to have missed the current issue…. Cheers from the Netherlands
Wow, I had no idea you've been doing this for so long. I like outdoors, travel, biking and vanlife videos so the UA-cam algo recommended some of your recent videos, which I really liked. Then I took a look and saw that you've been doing this since you were in your mid-teens and are quite the outdoors person and these are just the tip of the iceberg. Really impressive and I look forward to your next adventures. You've inspired me to seriously consider bikepacking again, which I've only done once and really enjoyed but many, many years ago and never on my current bike, which is so much better than my previous one. Also, you're obviously so much more mature and have such a better attitude than so many people your age these days and it's a credit to you and your parents that you turned out this way. Where I live there are so people your age who don't work, go to school or do much of anything but hang around all day with their friends playing video games and getting wasted. You've made me a lot less cynical about your generation and I hope that you're inspiring others your age to be active and pursue their interests and do something with their lives. There's an old saying that youth is wasted on the young but clearly it isn't on you.
Your right too keep the disco You would just get stuck with a van 4x4 essential in the wordiness and wish you kept the disco. Get the fuel system checked out (e.g fuel filter for water and fuel pump ) Electrics can have issues may want to think about immobiliser delete
Just came across your channel, iam alot like you and the same height as you too, we do vanlife and hiking its amazing, alot of work and full of experiences and freedom. You are amazing. You have a new subscriber. Love your content❤
I've been watching your videos right from the beginning. You were a little unsure and nervous in the earlier ones and still learning a lot. It's been lovely watching you grow and bloom into such a beautiful person 🙂
Well first off i have to say "Becky, I luv you and the life style you have chosen to start your "adult" life. I to left school at 16, just 55 years sooner, I joined the army. I think being alone and being lonely are vastly different things, while in the army surrounded by all the others, I was often alone, although not lonely. I do believe that your journey through life will change as you grow and change, it's the way of life, those that don't grow and change die. I love following your journey through YOUR LIFE, and look forward to each and every video, regardless of content or frequency. I hope all your life dreams, as they change, come true for you. May 2024 be a banner year for you. Looking forward to seeing more.
You are so cute and real! I watch your channel and rarely comment. I have never been into camping, but somehow I find what you do intriguing. I really loved the videos in Scotland. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us!
Nice spot your friend has there! Your bolognese looked delicious. Enjoyed learning your background and philosophies. Refreshing to watch young women influencing adventure vs commodities. Looking forward to following you in 2024!
Hi Becky. Typical Landys, always something. The TD5 engines brought in lots of electronics so can be a minefield. That's why the British Army did a deal to keep the old type engine (Jake could probably tell you) ( I'd still take your engine over your dads😅). A common problem (aside from what Jake fixed) is the fuel system ( there's sometimes a filter inside the tank that can fail) as well as fuel return pipe & injectors). Hope you get it sorted soon & continue on your adventures.
Loved this, I totally feel the bushcraft girl sexist and piggish comments, nasty comments, man we get them all. They used to really bother me too, they would eat up an entire day of my mental capacity, and now I'm just like F you and move on hahah Keep up the great work girl! Love from Canada!
A highly respected way of living and certainly we have much to learn from your experiences as we all want to get back to nature, See our environment. Many Thanks
@21 i was actually homeless in winter yeah not anyone to rely on or ask for help now im 45 & I'm homeless with a Vw T5 campervan I've had big homes 26yr relationship but now i don't answer to anyone i feel free just need to get out more ohh & im off to Thailand end of the year.
I have great admiration for you doing what i wish i could have done when I was as young as you are, Love watching your adventures carry on with your life and follow whatever you want to do 😊
Becky, thankyou so much for another great video. I am a nanna of not so young. I am so proud of you and what you aspire to. I am so proud that you followed your heart and not the mainstream ideals, you are an inspiration to all youngsters of today, please keep doing what you are doing, youve got this.......many younsters will soon understand the route you are going. Thankyou and best wishes xx
Brilliant I love listening to you the things you say are so true to life and how you don't waste time doing things you don't want to do but you put all your effort into the things you love doing keep up the good work you have got it right.
Really enjoyed this chat more than I thought I would. These are such insightful answers and questionsand they really resonated with me and where I find myself right now! I too am struggling with what to do next and I'm in my 50's. It never ends for some of us. I work remotely; could never imagine going back to an on-site job again. So the question of loneliness really struck a chord. I too like being alone but get lonely sometimes too. (I have a dog though.) What I find interesting is no one ever asks if you get tired of people. I certainly do. Even those I love. Don't get me wrong. I love interaction and going on trips together as much as most but there comes a time when I'm really and truly relieved to get away and be on my own again. For me that happens to be most of the time. Keep up the good work. I hope you get your basecamp sorted! Don't be discouraged by price of property. It only takes a down payment and then the rest is like rent but with returns!
I love you Becky❤ Im glad you are get doing your van life. Time is fly that moment, you first time sleep first Night your dad land rover, now your dream is come true😊 Happy Spring you Becky hope you enjoy next trip. I love it your videos❤
Noce to see u again Becky hope u had a good Christmas and New Year and spent time with ur family and the lovely Buster❤ ...thanks for being honesty about things and saying how it is ...as u might remember I'm in the sticks in my static shepherds hut ...this winter has been horrendous with rain and wind and soooo long as it's been a weird year weather wise ....i find I'm not lonely but i can spend up to 4 days without speaking to anyone (except my two horses that i live with 😂) if the weather was normal it would have been fun . Roll on spring eh ? I'm thinking it might be early this year 🤞 we have had 4 straight days with some sun tho its been freezing but thats fine .... Looking fwd to see u travelling again .Take care . Namaste 🙏
The South West 300 road route is also worth visiting. It takes you through Dumfries and Galloway, which is in the south west of Scotland. There is also the Whithorn Way, which is the old pilgrimage route that goes from Glasgow Cathedral (High Kirk of Glasgow), to Whithorn Abbey, and the Isle of Whithorn.
Great video, thank you for the answers and info though some were odd odd questions. If I ever spot you and Percy on the UK roads I will give a wave. Got to love traveling around in a Landy no matter where you get to . May I make a suggestion on your traction board placement, might be worth considering mounting them on a side mount on the drivers side, less drag and less height. I say this not knowing what is on that side of the vehicle.
Thank you for all the questions & for watching this video! All the best for 2024 :)
It’s a good place to take a break from my regular job. I hear you I’m alone not lonely. Sometimes I miss the fun times one also gets with others. I feel less wired there are more people like me.

Happy New Year Becky!
Can I ask, little lady, will you take your percy with you to Canada, as one thing I must say is perhaps look into seeing if yiu can get a proper roof tent that's attached to your landy ., see roaming wild on this channel.. I put defender meant disco. Ta
That means a lot :)
What a wonderful inspiring lady you are. I love the outdoors always enjoy your videos of your travels with Percy 😊.
So Crack on young lady and have a super extra wonderful day.
Thank you Moses! all the best
Only 21, OMG you are so knowing for your age. You have a great personality and outlook....I think your videos are great....xxx
I know right. I had to go back and look at some early videos. She was such a kid but didn’t present herself that way. Very reflective for 21 yoa.
Your genuine honesty is so refreshing and appreciated!
Thank you!

Thank you so much! Yes would love to try some canoe bits! Ah thank you, appreciate it! Take care :)
Been awhile since I saw you. Hard to believe I watched your first camp alone, and now look at you! How's knackerman and your sis?
I loved that one becky. Can't believe this journey has been 5 years so far. Keep them coming.
You remind me of my youngest daughter !, both strong minded and independent..only difference is you’d walk through a muddy puddle she’d walk around it ..(doesn’t like getting dirty 😢😆).. keep the vids coming and keep smiling .. take care .. just subbed
Indeed, I’ve missed you! It’s so pleasant to listen to you and your personality is so lovely. Hope you have a great year! Thanks girl.
Being an older diesel, and simpler - might be better going to an ‘old school’ diesel specialist for a fix. Good luck.
A really interesting Q&A. The thing that most comes through is how you have thought a lot more about what makes you happy and what is important in life than most people of your age. Your videos always inspire.
I agree! At 21 years of age, Becky is very mature and focused.
You are an impressive young woman, you present so naturally to the camera, love what you are doing! Looking forward to watching your adventures.
I remember when you first started your channel after subscribing to your dad's one. It was an inspiration watching a youngster starting up and yes, you were very nervous to start with...am proud to have witnessed your journey from the beginning and to watch your confidence grow and watching you shine now. Thanks so much Steve! He'll have a video on his channel soon of the both of us :)
I like this kind of a Q&A Becky. Answering questions while you're doing something. Wishing you a blessed, healthy and successful 2024!

You are real insipration for people here on UA-cam and love watching these videos. If i ever have a daughter i would hope she would be just like you.👍
Very best from Biggar in Scotland.
I was going to ask why not a 4x4 transit van for the space but you answered it lol. Looks great what your doing. Not easy in the uk, good luck and well done

Stay strong Becky, you are doing wonderful with this endeavor. Thanks for the video and looking forward to the next adventure. Stay well and warm.

A transit 4x4 is best of both worlds 👍
Just came across your channel, iam alot like you and the same height as you too, we do vanlife and hiking its amazing, alot of work and full of experiences and freedom.
You are amazing.
You have a new subscriber.
Love your content❤
I've been watching your videos right from the beginning. You were a little unsure and nervous in the earlier ones and still learning a lot. It's been lovely watching you grow and bloom into such a beautiful person 🙂
Great wee insight to van life. Hope you've had fun in my bonny Scotland 🙌
Thank you so much for the lovely comment John! I appreciate all the support :) All the best for 2024

Nice spot your friend has there! Your bolognese looked delicious. Enjoyed learning your background and philosophies. Refreshing to watch young women influencing adventure vs commodities. Looking forward to following you in 2024!
Thanks so much!
😊
I agree with you. Also wanted to say I watch your channel as well.
Take care.

I remember when you had under 10K subs. You have come a long way theese years 👍
Brilliant I love listening to you the things you say are so true to life and how you don't waste time doing things you don't want to do but you put all your effort into the things you love doing keep up the good work you have got it right.
(I have a dog though.)
What I find interesting is no one ever asks if you get tired of people.
Landrover life is cool 👍
Namaste 🙏
Hi lovely it's all way so lovely to see your videos keep them come and be safe.xx
I love your stuff Becky keep on going girl, inspiring 😊
Hi.
Hope you are well.
Are you coming to the Wild In Us festival in Somerset in June this year?
It was great last year.
All the best.👍🏾🇬🇧🍁
You certainly have some great adventures. Keep doing what you enjoy. X
I admire your freedom of travel, it's very inspirational.
Brilliant vid girl, more power to you ❤
