- An Albert Ammons' medium-paced Boogie Woogie - sheet music is available.
Ammons' version is a masterpiece which I listened to again and again for years and which set me off on the Boogie Woogie trail.
I hope you like my version and I now teach piano near Stirling, Scotland as well as over the internet (Ragtime, Rock n Roll and Classical music too.) All ages and levels catered for from complete beginner onwards. All countries welcome too - I have students from all around the world!

great version with someone who plays the left hand with enough balls to it that captures the drive and power behind original boogie woogie. Love the way this guy accentuates the notes in the left hand

This is seriously accomplished playing , it's surprising in good blues playing that a person can go on for chorus after chorus , each chorus with new invention , you've really done that here. And , this made me pretty happy too )
Hi Doug, thanks for the kind comments :) but unfortunately I can't claim the credit - it's a fairly straight copy of an Ammons piece (although he probably got the idea from someone else!)

I figured when I saw Albert's name attached to the the title it could be good listening, I was wrong, its great! Also interesting variation on 12 bar blues pattern there at the end

Hi, different people have different interpretations of the bass for this tune, but I use Ammon's 'tradditional' bass line of -
C-C-(Eb+A)-C-(E+G)-C-(F+A)-(E+G). (I actually start the first few bars on a simpler bass-line and switch to the full bass before long).

You can slow down all youtube videos - click the settings wheel under the video and choose "Playback Speed". Hope this helps. Cliff
@@emusictutor8740 the problem with that is physically. If you slow down the speed, the tone will be slowed down too. This means that the frequency is lower and it all sounds trash XD
@@simonhicken3892 No, youtube videos maintain the correct tone and pitch if you slow them down using the UA-cam speed controls :)

Please compare with the original .... this is good, but not AS good. Search "Albert Ammons Boogie Woogie Blues". Listen to both versions repeatedly until you know the difference in your body. It may take you a long time .... the difference is subtle, but once you know it --- you'll be connected with the real blues for life.
Sure beats that Rap crap!
