Custom CZ-550 .30-06 Springfield 26” Barreled Action
* The CZ-550 is a bolt-action hunting rifle series w/ BDA style button metal
* Available with a medium or (safari) magnum-sized action.
* Based on the Mauser 98 rifle.
* Mauser M 98 controlled-feed bolt action system.
* CZ 550 Safari action can be chambered for super magnum cartridges some elephant gun wildcat cartridges were tested and others specially designed for calibers up to the .600 Overkill) this action.
* Bolt body has three locking lugs,
* Bolt head two large main lugs
* Third safety lug underneath the bolt handle acting as a backup.
* The bolt handle is permanently attached to the bolt
* Large gas relief hole at the bolt body designed to protect the user's head in case of catastrophic failure it is designed to deflect the debris away from the operator's face.

* The single set trigger on a CZ-550 operates as a single stage during normal operation.
* However, when it is desirable to have less trigger pull, such as for longer range or very accurate shooting, the trigger can be pushed forward, making it a set trigger.
* Trigger weighs: Single Stage: 2.17 lbs The Set Stage: 11 oz

* Custom carved from a stock blank, solid piece of wood. Blueprinted the action, inletted the action,
* Hand-rub finish Lin seed Oil. w/ quick detach sling swivel cups installed
* Acra-Glas bedding stock.
* First round ever fired the headstamp brass in inletted in the stock.

Hello, you have done a good job your weapon is very pretty, I myself have a CZ 550 in 22-250 and I would like to mount a new barrel with a shorter twit, how is the barrel fixed on the case with what dimension of no screws, thank you for your answer, best regards JP
The barrel is torqued onto the action. In order to remove the barrel you need a few specialized tools (Action wrench, barrel bushing vice, head spacing gauges (go and no-go gauges)).
You can order a barrel that is "short chambered" which would need to be properly head-spaced but very easy to do. You would need the headspace gauge and the finishing reamer in the caliber to rebarrel that action yourself.
Very nice. Did you smooth out the action? I went with a Tikka because I wanted a Sako action but didn't want to pay Sako prices.
