One hint about your small complaint about the VZ mags being more difficult to load than an AK. If you look at the VZ bolt face, there is a rectangular notch cut in the face. That is the same width as a 7.62x39 stripper clip, and is, in fact designed to be used to load the VZ mag. Put an empty VZ mag in the rifle, pull the bolt back to lock it in place, push full stripper clip down through the bolt face slot, and push the rounds down into the mag. Voila! The VZ "speed loads!" Just one more thoughtful design innovation the Czechs engineered into the VZ.

As far as your issue with loading the magazines on the VZ58 goes, the clip guide installed on the bolt allows you to charge your magazines with stripper clips like you do on an SKS or a Mosin, with the added benefit of the magazines being detachable in case you have a malfunction with the magazine.
+Krevin Grard True. I think gun control should be left up to states rights. I mean, I know it's our constitutional right to own guns, but lots of people are against it. So to compromise, I say leave it to the states. If a majority liberal state doesn't want guns, let them ban it. If a majority 2nd Amendment state wants guns, let them keep them.
Krevin Grard I'd love for that to be the case. But the fact of the matter is that half the nation wants stricter gun control or an outright ban, and the other half doesn't. So I would support a comprise like what I said before. That is all.
And if half the country wanted to abolish one of the _other_ fundamental rights protected by the constitution, would you support a "compromise" on that, too?
Boy howdy that gun cycles fast! I may have to purchase one. As a Canadian I can vouch that he is correct about their prohibited status here. The AK-47 and all variations appear to be prohibited, so one needs to be creative in the AK-type firearms that they procure, or risk the RCMP taking them away. Valmets and VZ-58s or 2008s are very sought after, everyone and their dog has an SKS.
+aurvandil we have no "right" in canada thats the problem. And the problem comes from liberals when they have majority of parliament seats. I agree its absolutely disgusting, its seems to have a lot of dissent though and have been more victories for gun owners than losses lately.
VZ is actually an abbreviation of the word "vzor" which means "model". So this gun still bears a laboratory name of "samopal vzor 58" or "submachine gun model 58" I believe it would be translated. And many people think including me that it is a Czechoslovakian variant of an AK. I did not know the details behind it that you have mentioned in this video.
To je pěkná blbost SA je samopal. "samočinný a automat jsou slova synonyma. To je jako bych řekl automobilové auto, létající letadlo. atp... the stock is bakelite.Bakelite (/ˈbeɪkəlaɪt/ bay-kə-lyt), or polyoxybenzylmethylenglycolanhydride, is an early plastic. It is a thermosetting phenol formaldehyde resin, formed from an elimination reaction of phenol with formaldehyde. It was developed by Belgian-born chemist Leo Baekeland in New York in 1907.
Yeah you are absolutely correct. Slovak army still uses those ancient vz58 rifles and nowadays they really start showing it’s age. However, a rusty gun made in 1970 got us through about 340 rounds of semiautomatic before the receiver stuck open, we gave it a kick and had no malfunction since. It just shows how genial the Czechs were at designing and manufacturing firearms. And boy you should try the vz61 škorpion.
This video makes me look forward to autumn :) Got a VZ making the trek from S Carolina to Ohio in the mail. Figured I'd order one before Our Dear Leader outlaws those too. Seems like the side folder would be a fantastic bug out rifle if you're into that. Small, plentiful rounds, compact frame, accurate, etc... As always, Mr Hickok, a great clip!
I am from Slovakia and I am in the army. We have been using the 1950's model of the vz58 up to today LOL. In my opinion (very based) it is one of the best guns every made for it to still be used in the Slovak military after 70 years. We also tend to hold it by the mag at the top for the shorter barrel vz58 or even the long one.
Just bought one today. Figured $400 for the rifle with 5 mags and bayonet was a good deal. It is a CAI gun (VZ 2008), so I'm holding my hopes high. Haven't seen many negative issues regarding this VZ 58 (VZ 2008) with CAI. Should ship soon.
Damn you America! Paid $1300 here for the VZ-58, 4 Magazines, bayonet, and a replacement stock ( instead of the tacticool ar style stock I went back to the beaver barf)
It is SA (abb of samopal - submachine gun) VZor ("mark" and also year of introduction to service) 58; Czech infantry main battle gun for years, soldiers used to call it "scythe"
I have this rifle. It's my favorite shooter. I even prefer it to my Daniel defense ar. The balance is perfect, and it lays on the shoulder perfectly with no adjusting. Plus, with the triangle shape dust cover, it literally lined up on target just by looking down the rifle. For quick, off the cuff shooting, I've never shot anything better. For running rifle courses, I use my DD. For defense, I would grab my VZ first without hesitation.. On a side note. I installed the ambidextrous safety, and mag release. If a red dot is wanted, get one that is co-witnessed. Gave me the best of both worlds..
This video is 8 years old, so this will get never noticed by anyone. But on Czech market, Vz.58 price tag is between 400 - 600 USD, depends on its wear and general usage. But you can pick up a really nice piece for around 500 USD.
Hickok up here in Canada the Vz 58 is the closest we will ever get to owning a AK 47 since our government has deemed them illegal for importation sale and even owning one on the grounds of it can be easily converted to a full automatic weapon even if made for semi auto fire
This video is why I bought my VZ.58 5-6 years ago from CzechPoint. Awesome gun and very accurate for a 7.62x39 rifle. Paid a little more, but I'll never get rid of it. Much better than an AK variant in my opinion, but then i also prefer and SKS over an AK...
Tricky The Clown I want to visit your country one day and shoot one of these! I'm an American who's shot many guns and and owns a good old American AR! I understand that, in Czech Republic, you guys can actually buy these ins semi-automatic variations as easily as hunting guns! Is that true? I also want to see Prague!
BushmasterXM15E2S Hey, not a problem of these weapons to shoot at the shooting range but only where there are plenty. And yes, we can actually buy these guns only semiauto version and only with the permit and gun license. A threshold I would definitely recommend to visit because it is a city where you can find everything, even a small Aifel tower (the original name is Petrin Tower) and a lot of beautiful sights. sorry for mistake use google translate
you guys want AK 47 which has lower recoil, better accuracy, better construction and higher effective range?ok no problem..just buy vzor 58 or as it is internationally called CZ 858.
Music and Information Well, considering that 90% of UVF and UDA casualties were civilian and the fact that most of their funds came from drug dealing imo it's a fair assumption to make.Did you know that the UDA and UVF also blew up Catholic schools in the north of Ireland? and that they really never had any legitimate targets, they just killed innocent Catholic civilians at random?
Theres a really easy fix for the AK safety. Just gets a krebs custom safety with the finger ledge for quick deployment. It runs about 40 dollars plus shipping and is a literal drop in part. It also has a notch to hold your bolt open which is really nice as well. Love your videos brother! I been a fan for over 10 years now and I never miss an episode of the Hickok45 show!
Lemme share what I like about Hickok Every posting I only see and hear him having a great time with great firearms of our day. It should remind everyone that firearms overwhelmingly are used primarily in recreation
In our country´s ( czech rep, slovakia rep ) is know as KOSA ( SCYTHE ) thats our main name for it :), prototype secret name was KOSTE ( BROOM ), infantry nickname PADDLE, and paratroop version KOSA ( SCYTHE )
A bit late, but that bolt staying open has a purpose: if you aren't using spare magazines to reload it, you can use SKS stripper clips to just load directly into the magazine. Keeping the bolt open makes one less step in reloading if you're doing that.
I live in Canada; Hickok is correct, AK's are prohibited here because they are an 'EVIL' gun.. even though they fit the same criteria as many guns with the same characteristics. It is just a paradigm that people have, if you have an AK, you must be a terrorist even though you can buy any gun with the same lethal potential. I really enjoyed watching this video as I have a CZ 858 on order. The VZ 58 imports were also prohibited initially, but the RCMP has deemed that they are not easily converted to full auto, so i want one before they change their mind again. In Canada, they come with 30 round mags that are 'Pinned' to 5 rounds each (maximum allowed on a semi-auto rifle in canada). Sounds silly as a pinned mag can be easily unpinned but it becomes a prohibited device... Like a terrorist cares. So our goofy laws regarding magazine capacity make little sense.
Thanks for sharing this video. I received the VZ-58 for Christmas, best gift I ever received. This blows my M+M Romanian M10, GP WASR-10 and Arsenal SAM7SF-84 out of the water. Going to sell the GP WASR-10 and pick up another VZ-58. This is such a fine weapon esp. when you upgrade the sight.
The CSSR vzor58 is Czechoslovakia made riflie from 1958. Is very light, flexibile and relialable! There was a modification vzor58 with holding stock. Vzor58 is very poweful. We used at the military service and is still use today. Thanxxx for your video.
I owned a CZ/VZ 52 for a while, they're an interesting little rifle, and the 7.62 x45mm round was fun to shoot. I would highly recommend reviewing one if you get the opportunity! They're a little harder to find in the original chambering, the ammo had gotten kind of hard to find (that's what led me to sell mine...).
I got one of these in a trade up here in Canada and it's made out of really robust internal parts because the previous owner had used a LOT of surplus ammo and then never cleaned it. I had to get the gas piston out with a hammer because it had rusted solidly in there, but after a lot of elbow grease the entire rifle cleaned up beautifully and functions flawlessly.
I just acquired a D-Technik VZ58 just like the one in the video. What a quality rifle with beautiful fit and finish, neat and innovative design. I can see why they are preferred by many over the AK. And of course another well done and informative video.
The hank hill of the gun world, another soothing and funny video. Always watch one of your videos on whatever gun I’m choosing for my day dream to get me to sleep that night haha. Works like a charm 🛌.

proud new owner of one of these. i feild stripped it about 5 times for fun, the build quality is very nice and i absolutely love it. can't wait till the weekend to shoot it. I got it in composite black. In canada a paid a pretty penny for it but they are rare here.
It’s cool how this is like a legitimate alternative to an AK. Being a different weapon but with the same purpose, cartridge, and general form/aesthetic. With its own benefits and availability in some AK-ban areas to boot. Feels like it’s from some weird alternate reality or video game
The stock material is affectionately known as “beaver barf” Very stout aftermarket out there for the VZ58 too if anyone is curious or thinking about buying one. AR stock and pistol grip adapters, tactical fore ends, pistol kits, etc.
Christopher Phoenix What do you mean? It shares many features with Kalashnikov, and although it isn't a rifle released in the AK series by Izhevsk, it is obviously inspired by them. Also don't put smiley faces at the end of your arguments, it just makes you look like a pretentious douche. :-)
I’ve got on and love it, I’ve had about 4,000 rounds through it while I have it. Never jammed, I do love the AK family weapons as well , once I got my hands on the VZ it was like a whole new world. Love how much lighter it is, there doesn’t seem to be a lot of recoil to it as if shooting the AK47. The field strip is much easier than the AK. It’s a short gas piston set up. All in all I love my VZ. Very cool you did a video on it!!!
Good shots! Better to talk about Vzor 58...the full name from designer Mr.Čermák is 7.62mm automatic firearm model 1958. There are three versions - 58P for infantry, 58V for airbone (my one) and 58Pi for infantry w/infrared. Preview model is Vzor 52 and later been replaced by 805 Bren... Good luck.
Hi guys, iam from Czech Republic and ours factory Česká Zbrojovka - Uherský Brod, what is real name uder the under the abbreviation "CZ" makes for us iconic firearms like CZ vz.58, CZ 75, CZ vz.61 "Škorpión" (Scorpion). But its firearms constructed in the last century in times whats we here in Czech calls : "In deep peace" which is a time of deep communism. The past is behind us and we need to go further and not just live from the past. Which CZ-UB also did. Take a look at the new models from the CZ-UB, such as the CZ 805 BREN or CZ Shadow 2, CZ P-07 / P-09 or new Scorpion ;)
Yes, I'm from Canada and I have my RPAL. Like I said already, there are no mag restrictions on pump shotguns. We have the KSG here and it is not limited... 7 in each tube. I've owned a Benelli M4 and it was plugged to 5 -- even though I could legally have 7 (1 chamber, 5 tube, 1 ghost load.)
This is why I'm proud of my half-Czech heritage. This is a beautiful weapon that's still used by some units in the Czech army (This is what I heard, I may be wrong).
Yep - to confirm they're very popular in Canada due to our laws. Mag limit is 5rds like with all semi-autos. Because they're so tough and light they're often used as hunting guns. In February 2014 the RCMP changed some policy regarding the CZ and Swiss Arms rifles and prohibited some 13 000 of them, however so far there hasn't been a resolution on this.
Even though the strength may not be reliable with the reduced number of locking lugs, I'm sure we can both agree that there is no reliability difference between any Mauser or Lee. And yes, the No. 4 sights were a god send, and for the most part crapped all over common rifle sights at the time used on rifles such as the K98, the G41/G43, the Mosin etc. That peep sight sure did give the Lee great pointability up close, yet allowed it to easily demolish targets several hundreds of metres away.
I'm from Slovak Republic and we love this gun in my country. its really iconic for slovak and czech people. :)
you guys built a great gun, can't wait to get mine!
Kázmér Daniel I bought one about 6 years ago (I'm from Canada) this is a great rifle, I like the Czech firearms
I love mine. i call her Kosa
Kázmér Daniel we love it in this country too! Along with basically every other gun design as well but this one is catching up in popularity.
Kázmér Daniel it's a fantastic rifle. It sounds dumb, but one of my favorite features is the fact it takes stripper clips.

Really? That's awesome! It always somehow reminded me of an sks
Roger Songer Exactly. As most of the surplus ammo comes from czech republic the clips work excellent.
Through thousands and thousands of rounds, I can say it loads just as easy as an AK....loaded VZ mag=.72 lbs. AK = 1.44 lbs. aluminum vs steel.

AK "THIS IS MY BABY BROTHER, AND HE IS PERFECT IN EVERY WAY!"
Beautiful and very accurate rifle. Same rifle only with folded stock i had in army service in 1998.
Many greetings from 🇸🇰
As far as your issue with loading the magazines on the VZ58 goes, the clip guide installed on the bolt allows you to charge your magazines with stripper clips like you do on an SKS or a Mosin, with the added benefit of the magazines being detachable in case you have a malfunction with the magazine.
anti gun politicians are idiots
+Krevin Grard True. I think gun control should be left up to states rights. I mean, I know it's our constitutional right to own guns, but lots of people are against it. So to compromise, I say leave it to the states. If a majority liberal state doesn't want guns, let them ban it. If a majority 2nd Amendment state wants guns, let them keep them.
SFxTAGG3 nope should be legal everywhere. Concealed carry permits should be valid in all states.
700.00 at milarm in Edmonton, worth every penny.
Tyler Martens the one in chinatown?
+aurvandil we have no "right" in canada thats the problem. And the problem comes from liberals when they have majority of parliament seats. I agree its absolutely disgusting, its seems to have a lot of dissent though and have been more victories for gun owners than losses lately.
I gotta get my dog an SKS, so he can go shooting with me!
VZ is actually an abbreviation of the word "vzor" which means "model". So this gun still bears a laboratory name of "samopal vzor 58" or "submachine gun model 58" I believe it would be translated. And many people think including me that it is a Czechoslovakian variant of an AK. I did not know the details behind it that you have mentioned in this video.
it is wrong Sa means (samočiný automat)
Well you right but rifle can also mean samopal its greatgun
Jaroslav Kral design is not same
the stock is bakelite.Bakelite (/ˈbeɪkəlaɪt/ bay-kə-lyt), or polyoxybenzylmethylenglycolanhydride, is an early plastic. It is a thermosetting phenol formaldehyde resin, formed from an elimination reaction of phenol with formaldehyde. It was developed by Belgian-born chemist Leo Baekeland in New York in 1907.
Now I know...thanks
It's not plastic, it's pressed wood. Ofcourse there is also some material which holding it together.
This is just composite stock.
Wooden chips in epoxide resin.
That's all.
This stuff is actually stronger than Bakelite. It's unattractive and very strong which makes it ugly and beautiful at the same time.
Už len ten bodák chýba,..len ten bodák.
Greetings from Slovakia.Perfect video.
When I came across this rifle for the first time it was like time stood still. It was love at first sight. I knew what I had to do.
Hickok talking about a gun from my coutry fills me with joy even after all these years :D
yes, that is true. AKs are not allowed in canada, but we still enjoy to shoots the vz 58
If it gets Hickok's approval it's worth spending $500 on
Gotta love the slow-mo shots at the end of almost every video!!!
If I remember correctly, we call it "scythe" because of amazing stopping power and destructive effect...
Nice video, thank You for it...
Nope, it was called "scythe" based on the shape of the mag.
@@richardaubrecht2822 it's based on both
No, it’s called a “paddle”. The folding stock is the “scythe”.
@@richardaubrecht2822 No the only thing called a scythe was the collapsible stock.
TheBigFriendlyBambi First I got the wire side folder style, which is exactly what I wanted.
I just purchased the same one last week, can't wait for it to get here!
10-8unabletolocate Im extremely happy with mine. 100 rounds through it so far. May buy another.
Hawk60ce who has these for sale?
It is SA (abb of samopal - submachine gun) VZor ("mark" and also year of introduction to service) 58; Czech infantry main battle gun for years, soldiers used to call it "scythe"
soldiers used to call it KOSA ( in english means "scythe" ). More precise I thing.
Our Czechoslovakian !
In canada we call that stock furniture the beaver barf stock. If beavers barfed it would surely look like that.
75ShadowShooter nc name dude
Hickok up here in Canada the Vz 58 is the closest we will ever get to owning a AK 47 since our government has deemed them illegal for importation sale and even owning one on the grounds of it can be easily converted to a full automatic weapon even if made for semi auto fire
Which is a bs reason
Very much so
It’s possible to convert a semi auto AK to full auto...but it is not easy. Way more easy with an AR, M1Carbine or G3. Politicians are so clueless.
One of the big middle fingers given to the soviets was the Czech refusal to use the AK-47 in favor of their own rifle
SKS the best one gun for any and all purposes. All day. Any day. Every day.
Reciever kinda reminds me of the sks especially the charging handle/lever.
the action on the Gewehr 43 reminded me of this haha
Proud to be Czech ^^
Tricky The Clown I want to visit your country one day and shoot one of these! I'm an American who's shot many guns and and owns a good old American AR! I understand that, in Czech Republic, you guys can actually buy these ins semi-automatic variations as easily as hunting guns! Is that true? I also want to see Prague!
Tricky The Clown Yup.
Český zbraně maj něco do sebe... :)
Saimon the グレート pravda ;)
BushmasterXM15E2S Hey, not a problem of these weapons to shoot at the shooting range but only where there are plenty. And yes, we can actually buy these guns only semiauto version and only with the permit and gun license. A threshold I would definitely recommend to visit because it is a city where you can find everything, even a small Aifel tower (the original name is Petrin Tower) and a lot of beautiful sights. sorry for mistake use google translate
Me too, and I’m not even Czech 🤯
VZ 58 is like a non-gun-enthusiast guy trying to draw an AK by memory.
I'm proud owner of this Vz 58 for 7 years. Perfect gun. Very accurate. Very reliable.
you guys want AK 47 which has lower recoil, better accuracy, better construction and higher effective range?ok no problem..just buy vzor 58 or as it is internationally called CZ 858.
it's not an ak
+Jiři Datlovsky jeez man..I never said it is..I even named some good reasons to buy CZ858 i/o AK..
@@datlikj He didn't say it was idiot.
Loyalist paramilitaries in Northern Ireland managed to acquire about 200 of these.
Neil Quite the opposite
Music and Information Well, considering that 90% of UVF and UDA casualties were civilian and the fact that most of their funds came from drug dealing imo it's a fair assumption to make.Did you know that the UDA and UVF also blew up Catholic schools in the north of Ireland? and that they really never had any legitimate targets, they just killed innocent Catholic civilians at random?
Are talking about Ulster forces? Lol I was thinking about the Republicans
Music and Information Read the original comment :)
Dang, there's hypocrisy in your country too? whoda thought!? 😐
Yeah that bakelite or whatever it's called, some call it beaver puke up here in Canadaland, what with all the wood chips in it :P
NormanMatchem Bakelite is smelly russian plastic, this is "Wood impregnated" plastic
Icefist Thunderdick bakelite was invented in the US...
Ben Pollard But when talking about firearms american bakelite is unheard of
Icefist Thunderdick true
+Icefist Thunderdick The third generation BAR's had bakelite stocks
Theres a really easy fix for the AK safety. Just gets a krebs custom safety with the finger ledge for quick deployment. It runs about 40 dollars plus shipping and is a literal drop in part. It also has a notch to hold your bolt open which is really nice as well. Love your videos brother! I been a fan for over 10 years now and I never miss an episode of the Hickok45 show!
Lemme share what I like about Hickok
Every posting I only see and hear him having a great time with great firearms of our day.
Interesting that this gun holds the bolt open after the last shot. The AK variants don't seem to do that, except perhaps for the newest ones.
Saw one in a store for $800. Went online and some people have it for $400. Gonna order one instead :)
where?
2 years ago I got aVZ2008 from Palmetto -long shipping wait 349.99+tx+FFL $430ish.Good luck.
Wouldnt buy the cai version
I am so proud I was born in Czechoslovakia. ;-)
And of course another well done and informative video.
rambokicksass77 I highly recommend a D-Technik/CSA Vz58 over the Century VZ2008, the VZs occasionally pop up on auction sights.
Absolutely delightful weapon for the $$. 5 30 round mags. Mine has the folding stock. Cheap ammo. Accurate. Light.
Best Czech gun :)
All czech guns are the best guns.

haha this was my dad's favourite gun in lebanon too!
The hank hill of the gun world, another soothing and funny video. Always watch one of your videos on whatever gun I’m choosing for my day dream to get me to sleep that night haha. Works like a charm 🛌.
Hickok45 thank you for beautiful video about VZ-58. I am from Czech Republic and I am very proud of our designer Jiří Čermák and his group.
"guess i have to get my glock out" 😂straight pimpin' poppa hickok
Vz 58 is a beauty
Spoľahlivá zbraň, keď sa zastrieľate aj trafíte :) Nanosil som sa jej dosť... Je to lacná zbraň, do 200€ kúpite novú ešte nepoužitú. Tie čo Galko predal po 7€ kus!!!
proud new owner of one of these. i feild stripped it about 5 times for fun, the build quality is very nice and i absolutely love it. can't wait till the weekend to shoot it. I got it in composite black. In canada a paid a pretty penny for it but they are rare here.
got me good with the wood grain joke. old thread but just got my vz 58. i love the look of the stock. thanks for the review hikok!
I don't think there is a single video on your channel I don't like.
"Attractive in its ugliness"... great phrase. Love your vids.
Did you say "little more difficult to load"??? VZ58 is known for it's ease of reloading.
He meant loading cartridges into the magazine, not swapping the magazine in the gun.
It’s cool how this is like a legitimate alternative to an AK. Being a different weapon but with the same purpose, cartridge, and general form/aesthetic. With its own benefits and availability in some AK-ban areas to boot. Feels like it’s from some weird alternate reality or video game
And quality
In the movie Full Metal Jacket at the end the Viet Kong shooting at Joker and Raptor man took her down was using a S.a. 58
reminds me of an STG-44
Slovak Army along with Police still use them :) and cz82 as sidearms are still used by 90% of police :(
66calm66 Czech army uses it too, but they are changing it for CZ- 805BREN
which in my opinion is not as good as choice as it seems :) not bad ammo but the piston system is missing and thats what makes 58 superior :)
Trying to talk my dad into going in on half with me for one of these..
The Century VZ-2008 is $499 with a bayonet and 5 30 round magazines. www.aimsurplus.com/product.aspx?item=F1CVZ2008
The stock material is affectionately known as “beaver barf”
Very stout aftermarket out there for the VZ58 too if anyone is curious or thinking about buying one. AR stock and pistol grip adapters, tactical fore ends, pistol kits, etc.
it definitely does have a few features like an SKS. the open top, the short stroke gas piston, and the construction of the receiver.
You think these are ugly? Why?
These vz.58 rifles are most definitely not ugly. I'm very much considering one over an AK for my first "commie" gun. :D
Same!
I think the stock looks pretty ugly, but slap a folding stock on there and it's one of my favorite looking AK variants.
bean.net Except that the Vz 58 is NOT an AK variant. :-)
Christopher Phoenix What do you mean? It shares many features with Kalashnikov, and although it isn't a rifle released in the AK series by Izhevsk, it is obviously inspired by them. Also don't put smiley faces at the end of your arguments, it just makes you look like a pretentious douche. :-)
Vz58 is not a variant of AK47:-))
He made that clear
yep canada's AK!!
594marco no Czech gun
It's like a comedian and a heckler, where you destroyed the heckler. Very good, hickok
What a glorious weapon. Definitely on my wish list.
Good luck.
thanx for this video.....remindes me my days in army....i served with this rifle in Czhech Army
The finish on that vz58 is beautiful
In February 2014 the RCMP changed some policy regarding the CZ and Swiss Arms rifles and prohibited some 13 000 of them, however so far there hasn't been a resolution on this.
when you cant decide whether to fire your sks or ak
Even though the strength may not be reliable with the reduced number of locking lugs, I'm sure we can both agree that there is no reliability difference between any Mauser or Lee. And yes, the No. 4 sights were a god send, and for the most part crapped all over common rifle sights at the time used on rifles such as the K98, the G41/G43, the Mosin etc. That peep sight sure did give the Lee great pointability up close, yet allowed it to easily demolish targets several hundreds of metres away.
