    I'll have to say having just purchased a new FF12 MiniEx, I've watched all your videos and am learning a ton about these things from you. I am a fabricator and you have definitely motivated me to make improvements to the hydraulic system and understand the way these things work. Bought mine to move along a retaining wall project at my house and to use at my job at an oyster farm in Maryland to install some drainage systems in our nursery. Keep the content coming and I've shared your page with several others that have Minis. I'll be sure to share my custom mods with you as I progress. Seriously...Thanks!

    Thanks for the video and info. Just broke something on that motor today. The log I was trying to handle was a little too big for it. (Nuoman 1.7) The nut on the bottom of it is spinning but the gear isn't moving. I feel like the cold weather could be an issue too since the right track control arm broke off a few days before... I'll be taking it off tomorrow!

    Great video and explanation. My question is, the motor that you pulled, was it held down with Allen cap bolts? On my QH12 it's almost impossible to properly torque that motor down.

      Yes mine has allen head bolts and when I realized excessive slop I discovered all the bolts were loose. Had to use a allen socket in a box end wrench to tighten. Still couldn't get it as tight I'd of liked to.

    Great video, I have a 2 ton excavator with a small amount of play when swinging left or right. You answered my question about having a bit of slop in the gears. Guess it's something I'll have to tolerate at this price point.

    • @TuckerFromKentucky
      @TuckerFromKentucky Місяць тому

      Is it still doing fine, no change? I also have a 2 ton at about 10 hours now, wondering if the motor is adjustable. Mine is a Typhon Terror 18 variety. It's been like this since new. The motor appeared to be tight when I first got it, though I haven't gotten around to actually checking the tightness of the bolts but it seems odd there's no adjustment avaliable. It would make sense that you could at least turn the motor one bolt in either direction and affect some change to the gear engagement. I'm gonna go out and look here in a minute actually. Plus where's the grease fittings for it?

    Great videos, thanks! I have, what I believe to be the same mini excavator as the yellow and black one you use in your videos (mine has no labelling anywhere). It's very difficult on my machine to 'fine tune' the left and right swing - for example when trying to line up the pins on a quick connect. The reason for this is that the small fitting on the turntable deck does not appear to fit tightly and is a welded-on stub that fits in a notch. On mine this setup is easy to see as it's centered in the engine compartment roughly between the operator's feet. The play at the fitting is about 3/16" which equates to around a foot at the bucket when fully extended. Are these machines manufactured this way or is mine damaged?

    For anybody buying one of these at auction, i would advise you check it out first. I went to an auction site in person wherre they had around 40 of these Chinese excavators coming up for auction. I was checking out the movement in the boom. One of them was obviously missing bushing in the boom. It had all kinds of slop in the boom compared to all the rest of them.

  • @elraul53
    @elraul53 3 місяці тому

    You might want to let folks know what size the bolts are that mount the motor. Mine stripped out due to the fact that the motor was loose and the play in the system damaged the bolts. I'll go to the Hardware store to see if I can find the exact size. The top of the Hex Bolt is TBF 8.8 but that isn't very helpful on the internet.

    • @shocktreatment5495
      @shocktreatment5495 3 години тому

      Why not simply remove one of the other bolts and measure it? Drop it in both holes without engaging the threads and make sure the bolt projects out of both holes the same amount. This will be a great indication that the two bolts should be the same length. If there is a height variation it will let you know how much longer or shorter the missing bolt should be

    I have a new AGT QK16R. It stopped rotating at about 3 hours. It was leaking where all the bolts on top of the rotator motor loose. I tightened them up and topped off the hydraulic fluid. It started working again but the warmer the engine gets, the weaker the rotation gets until it stops rotating. Every other function works perfectly when warm except the rotate. Any suggestions? Thanks for the video.

    • @TuckerFromKentucky
      @TuckerFromKentucky Місяць тому +1

      Maybe it needs bleeding, air in the lines from the previous leak. You could loosen the connection at the return side maybe and let it burp, then retighten. I don't know if it needs to run or even be bled at all but I'd get a second opinion before starting it to bleed the line as hydraulic fluid under pressure is not my monkey, so to speak.

      @ “Thanks a lot Tucker”
      Hey I appreciate that advice, I figured it out this past weekend. Strangely enough, the bolts on top of the pump had loosened right back up (very quickly).
      I pulled the floor board out and checked them and they were all loose again. Only this time I just parked the machine when the rotation problem started again so it never got loose enough to start leaking fluid. Apparently the bolts can back out just a little way and as the fluid gets warmer it starts recirculating inside the motor or bypassing the place where it is supposed to be directed to.
      I tightened them up and ran it for about two hours and the rotation is way stronger than before. I was actually able to sweep dirt with the bucket which was a no go before.
      I will try to make a video about it soon.
      Thanks again for your input,it’s truly appreciated.

      @@markmarcotte8651 just those 4 bolt hold the motor. The center face does stick down into the mounting hole. I used a hydraulic jack after removing the 4 bolt, and jacked from the bottom. I lifted the whole unit before the motor popped loose. The leak on mine was just a bad o-ring. I got a new one from a local hydraulic. It wasn't a perfect match (metric vs imperial) but it's been working fine.

    My hoses may have been swapped on my h12 the manual calls for 0.5 kg of Grease for both the slewing bearing and teeth, I used a cordless grease gun and spun the cab at the same time while greasing, hoping I didn't damage anything because I pumped about a whole tube of Grease into there.

    I have the new AGT DY-12C. Slightly different hydraulic tank setup with tank being built in under the seat. I'm adding a cooler and wondering if you know the correct name of the fitting type to return from valve body with the taper and O ring. I believe it's bspp but don't know the name for the o ring style. It's not orb style. Don't think I can post pics in comments
