Hi Ronald thnx for the message, I think that the knives produced by extrema are definitely worth the price. In my opinion you buy a knife for life,and overpriced is ofcourse a term that differs from person to person. For example when I buy outdoor gear like boots they usually set me back between 250 to 350 euro and I wear these for a few years and then I need to either resole them or buy a new pair. I am used to the fact that quality comes at a certain price and i am willing to pay for the craftsmanship,design and quality a brand attached to their products. each knife is sharpened by hand. each knife produced has an identification code. there are a lot of checks. they do not just putting steel into a machine and then boxed. it is true that the price is high but also the construction quality and the attention is higher than some companies that produce knives. ( and lifetime warranty )
Exactly these knives are not mass produced China made pieces of cheap steel,extrema stands for passion and quality that you see in the finished product and design the steel is great quality and the heat treatment is spot on.
