Beautiful job! I have this pattern and am now inspired to make it. I love the ombre effect. Thank you MSQC for allowing other designers to showcase their work and in doing so supporting them. Great job on the tutorial!
I love this pattern! Amber you are amazing teacher and I hope to see more of your tutorials. There are a lot of negative comments from small people, don’t listen to them!! You did great!!
The reason you're getting so much buckling on those bias seams is that you're pushing the fabric through the machine. That Bernina is a beautifully engineered piece of tech, all you need to do is let the feed dogs do the work, using your fingertips to keep it straight.
I love your patterns and own several !! Great job today!!! Also the attached walking foot ( dual feed ) really helps to keep the fabric feed through smoothly! I always have mine engaged when doing bias sewing!!
Love this pattern! Especially in the pink color way, and the style of instruction, Amber you are a great instructor. Thanks MSQC for introducing us to new designers!
I agree. I like seeing the requirements and quilt sizes, etc It's part of making a tutorial. I don't want to hunt all over just to find something. Otherwise a decent tutorial.
Thank you Amber, I have had this pattern for quite a while now as I am a subscriber so having watched you do this I need to get my fabric and make it. I have already made your Morgana Quilt and have had alot of compliments, it's a lovely quilt. Thanks again, Love from New Zealand ❤
Because she is a new designer & she is a guest on their show. She runs her own business. This is a highlight of the designer as they have done in the past. As a long time follower, you’ll see that the designer highlight often directs you to her website for the pattern.
Amber, you did a fabulous job in this tutorial! Your directions were very clear! The quilt is beautiful and doesn’t look too difficult…unless we have to press open all seems! LOL! Thanks very much!
I love this quilt! I have to admit that I dislike the Bernette. It’s clunky and the sound is not pleasing. I normally love the sound of a sewing machine, but this new one that MSQ now uses is distracting. Please go back to the Babylock or try a BERNINA. ❤
Darn, its just not the same without msqc tutorials on a friday we've all come to expect. 😢 Maybe do designer tutorials on wed or something? Pretty pattern tho
I love this tutorial 😊 and went to buy the pattern, but it was only available in digital and my goofy brain needs a paper pattern sonce my printer doesn't work. 😢
Thank for sharing. However, a tutorial is much better if measurements for trimming and fabric requirements are given. I know she wants people to buy the pattern, but I watch these tutorials every Friday because the instructions are complete. I buy plenty of fabric and rulers from MSQC to make up for not buying the pattern. I hope this isn’t a trend for how future tutorials will be.
I have bee waking up to to watch Jenny for years….then I had to get used to Natalie and Misty ( who I love)….then……today…..and this is just MY opinion…stick with the Doan girls…. At least have one of them on with her…
She needed to engage the dual feed/built in walking foot. It was originally a Paff only feature but now other machines have added it. However, most people still don’t know how to use it. Just pull down n it snaps in place. Makes perfect matching of fabric when you start sewing a seam and when you get to the end.
I cut the side of the tip of my finger off a few years ago trying to cut a photograph. Yes, I know that was stupid and I kept telling myself that for a few weeks while it healed. I decided then to find a better way to cut. I tried to convert to a ruler with a handle and found it very difficult to cut accurately. So, I opted for Donnal Jordan's way of cutting with a 5 lb. weight. Perfect for me.
I’m sure Jenny would love to make this quilt 🥰 and be proud of the young lady who demonstrated how to make it 👏👏🇬🇧

You are a excellent teacher Amber.Love the pattern.

You are an excellent teacher Amber - very clear and precise. Well done. Lovely pattern.

Thank you Amber and MSQC for this beginner friendly pattern and video. So many of my family & friends like the lower volume quilts with a modern look.
Gosh she has done a very nice job why does everyone have to make a snarky comment it doesn’t sound constructive it’s a great quilt
Good job! Cute quilt!
MSQC always gives fabric requirements. That is one big thing that sets them apart from the rest. I wish you had done that. Pretty quilt.
There is a shop supplies option at the bottom of the description. The fabric requirements are there. ❤

Very pretty
Nice pattern and love the colorful pinks!
Great instructor!
Nice pattern. Why not give all the fabric requirements, like always? It makes MSQC stand out from so may others.
Agreed! And missing the sizes for the cuts. We can figure them out, but not our normal Friday “freebie”
If you sign up to her newsletter the pattern is free

@ Thank you for stating this. I just feel that wholeheartedness is more MSQC-style.
Great video. Thank you.
Wow! Loving this pattern! I will be making it soon! ❤❤
She’s a natural I love how she shares her own methods
Such a strong ASMR quality to her voice and technique, calming and a pleasure to watch. And a beautiful pattern too. Win/win.
Beautiful quilt! Thank you!

What size are the HSTs trimmed to?
4.5 if you look closely at the cutting mat 👀
I love this quilt!

I agree….Jenny went back to her babylock when she was doing the videos. The hesitation at the start of each seam is soooo annoying
Bernina ❤!!!
Agree

Agree
Did she square the HST unit,
What a great way to introduce us to new designers, thank you. I like her quilt, fabrics were perfect.
I love this tutorial 😊 and went to buy the pattern, but it was only available in digital and my goofy brain needs a paper pattern sonce my printer doesn't work. 😢
Enjoyed. Thank you for sharing your time and skills
I like this quilt. Im from the south, so this is a must do for me. Thanks for sharing.❤

Thank you for sharing! This is a beautiful quilt ❤
Thank you Amber for your clear explanation and both examples of the quilt. Gets me thinking what a non-white background might look like too 🤔😊
Lovely quilt & fabrics!! Thank you Amber!
volume
Good job.
She didn’t show how to square the HST, most know buts there are beginners

Noticed AlL if you seams puckered. Tells me the tension is off and the to have the machine tuned.
Think it may also be she was pushing the fabric through the machine.
She needed to engage the dual feed/built in walking foot.

It’s a lovely pattern, but please fix the machine. The puckering is triggering my OCD. 😂
Interesting comment on hospital visits….hmmm maybe I need to get a handle??

Not what expect from MSQC Friday tutorial
For this to be a beginner pattern there are too many steps to this pattern.
Enjoyed watching like her voice
Amber, I noticed that your 'walking' foot is not pulled down. That should help the puckers in your seams.
