I got my dream truck specced out ('19 Megacab dually, Laramie, blue/silver 2-tone, brown/beige interior, every option, $83K) & I love it - wouldn't have it any other way. Demco autoslide hitch pulls my Solitude with plenty of clearance. Reclining seats, fold-flat seats, room behind the seat, & more legroom with the Megacab - if I had to do it over, would do it again
That Mountain Brown/Light Mountain Brown Interior is second to none. The interior on the Ford King Ranch is nice, but still overall is not even near the Ram Limited Longhorn. Great review as usual. Appreciate it.

A lot of hate for the short bed but imo and honestly to all my buddies we would all rather have the short bed dually it looks stubby if you want a long bed get a normal crew cab stop bashing the mega cab! Beautiful truck not for the faint of heart wouldn’t want it any other way love the short bed . Awesome review as well
I got the 2021 limited mega cab dually in night edition (92K and some change...the only truck i could get around here). Really like it. I was afraid of the short bed for pulling an RV, but its turned out pretty good, shorter turn radius, but i still sweat about busting out the cab when parking the RV. The hitch is pretty good, big block of rubber between the two main arts acts like shock absorber. Quite heavy though im switching to a ball system, i want my bed back! Oh yeah, second degree burns hitching/un-hitching that thing in the hot summer sun.
Usually im a fan of Ford and Toyota trucks, but when it comes to tough and torquey heavy duty trucks, i chose this over Ford and GM because of the best in class luxurious cowboy themed interior and maximum towing capability!! That interior is just much more satisfying than the others!!

Nexen tires on a HD truck suck! I have a Limited 3500 dually, front tire belt broke at 26k miles. Got it to tire shop and there was another Ram dually there with rear Nexen tire with same problem. The tire shop guy said they seem fine on cars and light trucks but they never hold up on the heavy trucks. Plus, those tires had some vibration after the first 100 miles. I had the dealership to do a road force balance twice, they never rode smooth. I put a set of Coopers on it and a set of Centramatic wheel balancers, that dually truck rides as smooth as 1/2 ton trucks.

I’d love to see a transmission larger than a 6 speed! I think an updated transmission would make the Ram with the HO Cummins and unbelievable truck. Please, soon! Haha. Great videos!
My guess is they are beholden to whatever Aisin and ZF are willing to come up with at present. Since those companies serve lots of other customers, it's likely harder for Ram to make the case they should go to 8/9/10-speeds.
Its not going to happen, all the rumors you hear are speculation. The cummins simply has no need for any more than 6 speeds, it makes brutal torque throughout its entire powerband. Historically the cummins destroys pretty much whatever you put behind them soon as you turn up the power above stock. The less gears the less to fail. The Aisin is a HD commercial trans is perfect for the cummins. That's why they chose it, it isn't some fly by night operation where they take what trans they can get. If a 8 or 10 speed would work behind the cummins they'd do it already.
Sweet truck I have the 21 longhorn with everything and same color interior but mine has the filigree stitching it’s very nice. I paid 84 out the door with tax. That dually is very pricey for what you get.
Short bed can take a slider Reese hitch and your able to turn like a long bed only thing is no fuel tank but you have comfort in the truck and space versus space in a bed
If it only had cloth seats. Leather seats no matter what the temperature turn into soaking tubs for me. That color interior Ford had way back in the 1960s. I repaired it when I got it. Trans is ATS stage 2 68RFE with co-pilot. All the power goes to the ground. Sits at 9400 pounds when I am not towing, and does zero to 60 in under 6 seconds. 2WD with an NV271 transfer case for mountain terrain. A whopping 33 mph in fifth gear (does not shift into sixth with the transfer case in 4Lo. I can use 4Lo on a paved road because it is not 4WD and there is no problem with the variable speed of the front wheels on turns. 12 miles downhill on an 8 percent grade coming out of Yosemite going east, and it held 30 mph and never had to use the brakes. 25000 pounds all up when I am towing. The Dodge exhaust brake using the VGT is unbeatable. Those converted gas motor V8 versions just do not have much exhaust brake retardation. The 3rd Gens retard with 130 hp. I thing the smaller turbos on the 4th gen provide almost 175 hp retardation. 230000 plus miles with 72000 towing. Purrs like a kitten, but roars like a lion when needed.
No night edition in the longhorn, it's chromed out. The interior is either of 2 types of brown on the longhorn, which is beautiful for it's contrast. The limited is usually just black on black interior.

Have to disagree on the short-bed Ram dually, mega-cab or not. Because of how they've been styling the dually flares the last couple generations, the front end of the swoop looks cut off and it accentuates the gap between the cab and the front of the bed, making it look tacked on. Even here the gap at the top of the bed and the bottom look totally different,as if the bed isn't screwed on right or the frame is bent down 2 feet ahead of the rear diff. The mega cab accentuates it even more, though the mega cab portion looks fine on its own.

Great review but that truck definitely isn’t worth $92k with that dated 2009 cab/bed/suspension. The 2500 and 3500 needs to be redesigned from the ground up like the 1500 instead of a new front clip on an old truck.

Sorry, but the short bed on the Mega cabs completely rules out the primary function the truck is supposed to fill. Hauling heavy, long trailers. So the mega cab makes the truck almost worthless.ram should not even make this option available for the heavy towing package.

69,250 base price when ordered, now that it’s on the train to here the window sticker shows 71,625, that’s the big difference. Can’t see any other difference because build sheet is slightly different with options than window sticker, but overall price went 95,895 to 98,770.
$$ above MSRP. Unless your in a pinch and need the vehicle for business, Why?
Got the limited night edition. Maxed out
Congrats bro 👍🏾
Please do a review on a limited night edition short bed dually
Super hard to find but if I find one, I will 👍🏾
@@JB_WhoWork I just ordered one with out the harmon speakers I opted for the standard. I don’t think the additional $2k is worth it for premium speakers. I got the limited with the dual alternators like you recommended in one of your videos 👍🏼 keep up the good stuff
I thought all the interior trim was metal as well but I was told by a guy at the dealer its PVC...I know it sounds and looks like metal but that what he said.
You may be right 👍🏾
Hi JB could you verify if they are Alcoa wheels 🙏 thanks
I haven’t heard that RAM switched from the Alcoa wheels so my best “guess” is they are still Alcoa
@@JB_WhoWork
thanks just wanted to make sure because I have found out that ford is not using original Alcoa wheels & there causing rust.
Yea I’ve heard Ford was using a different brand but you’re saying that their wheels are not aluminum either?
$92K + Tax in California ouch, love the truck. But with fuel price here, gonna wait 3yrs after.
Yea it’s getting crazy out here. I’m afraid to upgrade with these insane prices…
Nope, sorry. Aint no pickup worth 100k. Theyre getting insane with this.
Look is a duna corn hahaha
Just lifted my 22 ram 3500 dually mega cab ho. 2.5 blistein with 20x10 fuel blitz 35” toyo at2 tires and damn she looks sexy!
🔥🔥🔥
Sounds like a sweet mall crawler for city slickers
$93k and no sunroof?🤣🤣
Sorry, but the short bed on the Mega cabs completely rules out the primary function the truck is supposed to fill. Hauling heavy, long trailers. So the mega cab makes the truck almost worthless.ram should not even make this option available for the heavy towing package.
Actually the wheelbase is longer than a crew cab shortbed so you still have some added stability. This truck will out tow a longbed from GM for sure when you consider the air suspension 👍🏾
I get flashed with head lights all the time have to drive with fog lamps on two lane road
Yea I’ve only gotten flashed a couple of times so I decided to aim them lower 👍🏾
100k for a truck!!! No thanks. I'll keep my 2014 Ram 2500 6.7 HD
Tell Big Perm to get the black one
Lol I think he just might after watching that video 😂
no a dually with a 6ft bed looks like a stupid choice.
Guys out here buying $100,000 pickups and pulling for $1.35 mile. 😂🤣😂🤣 It’s insane.
I hope not…
No adaptive cruise in that.
You know I didn’t even pay attention 👍🏾
Gees, what the hell. Ram, how the hell is it a Longhown Limited and still NOT have all the options?
Not hard to find, My dealer Lake Elsinore has 3
For now…
I'd rather buy an old Pete
I'll stick with used. Sorry 😞
I just ordered a Laramie drw and my msrp was more wtf
Yea you’re not alone… Dealers showing the manufacture they have room 🤦🏾♂️
@@JB_WhoWork I’m confused. So when he built it in front of my abs it showed msrp from ram that was the dealer upping the msrp?
Sorry I didn’t mean your dealer, I’m talking in general because this happened to a couple of my followers and I almost ordered a Grand Wagoneer and dealer decided to order it anyways and MSRP changed by almost $800…
Manufactures are taking advantage because they see there’s margin since dealers are getting $5k+ for regular trucks…
I have love for all the big 3 but man the Ram dually to me is the least appealing...put this next to a F3 or450 and its like apples and oranges to looks for me the Ford just looks soooo much better IMO
Ford’s longbed dually does look better than RAM’s longbed 👍🏾
I saw a 2017 mega cab for 70000
Wow… these are becoming the Hummer H1’s lol 👍🏾
@@JB_WhoWork that's for sure
I saw a 2018 Ram 3500 drw Longhorn with 3300 miles sell for $70k. Was on my local Craigslist for about an hour or two. Needless to say, it was showroom condition.
@@JB_WhoWork question for you have you drove a none high output 6.7 with the 68rfe transmission
I owned one
100k dollars for a truck that goes down the same line as the 50K truck…. Built the same. To much money
Yea it’s crazy expensive especially when base is just under $70k. Truck sold within a week lol!
@@JB_WhoWork here i am just trying to find a 22 GMC 6.6 gas Pro Dually. Impossible
Wow… you may be able to find a 🦄 before you find that sitting on a dealer lot 😅
@@JB_WhoWork found 1 and its a 2wd and not optioned how id like. i hear ford has like 250,000 orders, so i aint getting a super duty anytime soon. Sold my Ram 6.4...
@@BetaRacer24 Were you having problems with your 6.4?
I hate the look the of Mega cab especially in a dually configuration
Tonka Truck 💪🏾💪🏾
@@JB_WhoWork the proportions are just so off. I’ve always wonder why Ram would continue to do this. They just need to make a bigger cab or just offer a ridiculous large truck by having a MegCab with a long bed.
If they uodate the cab/bed, they could go 7ft which would help the look although I think it looks great.
Made in Mexico it's a Taco Truck.
Bro
I’m a RAM MAN as we both know
But that truck is UGLY
It should’ve had the night package or something
Lol
Haha, a white MegaCab Dually looks plain but you can’t get night on a Limited Longhorn. It’s not ugly, it’s just got character
LOL what a waste of money.
No way, fits in the garage with ease and can still pull 20k like it’s not even back there 💪🏾💪🏾
Only if someone uses it as a daily driver commute machine.
Junk!!!
White on vehicles is ugly
100,000. for a pc of garbage
Love em I got a 2020 1500 I just paid off but would delete js. Ftepa
