    I love this design. The petals reminded me of a.poppy. Imagine the centre in black, the petals in red and the background in green!
    There you have a poppy field 😄
    Thank once again. Love Dawn x UK

    I was watching this thinking “She sounds Danish, I wonder if she is…” and you are! My mormor was Danish and I gave my children Danish names. 🥰

      Yes that danish accent is hard to escape from😅 It's wonderful that you recognized the Danish connection! It's a lovely tribute to your heritage to give your children Danish names. It's a meaningful way to preserve and celebrate your family's cultural roots. Denmark has a rich history and culture, and it's great to see how it continues to be a part of your life and your children's lives through their names. 🇩🇰❤️😊

    I like the simple look. It has an option for one to three colors in the block. Too much color is a lot of ends to take care of.

    • @AdoreCreaCrochet
      @AdoreCreaCrochet  3 місяці тому

      I totally understand! 🥰 Keeping it simple with fewer colors can definitely make the process easier and save you from weaving in too many ends. It's great that the pattern allows for that flexibility. Enjoy your crochet project!

      @@AdoreCreaCrochet You're welcome!I learned to crochet at 8, but I learned to knit at 22 and never really touched crochet again. I'm now almost 56 and just started crochet again so I'm basically a newbie. Your tutorial was clear and concise and I was able to follow along and make the square in less than an hour which for me is amazing in itself😁

    This is a wonderful pattern. Thank You for sharing it. I was wondering… if I wanted to join these for a blanket, which way/method 0:02 would be your recommendation? Thanks

    • @AdoreCreaCrochet
      @AdoreCreaCrochet  8 місяців тому +2

      Than you so much for your kind words🥰 I'm glad you're enjoying the pattern! When joining for a blanket, there are several methods you can choose from. Here are a few popular options:
      Whip Stitch: This method involves sewing the squares together using a simple whip stitch. It creates a subtle seam. You can do this with a yarn needle and matching yarn.
      Single Crochet Join: This method involves joining squares with single crochet stitches. You can either crochet through both loops of each square or choose a method that creates a decorative raised seam.
      Slip Stitch Join: This method involves slip stitching the squares together. It creates a neat and flat seam. You can slip stitch through the back loops or both loops of each square.
      Continuous Join-As-You-Go (CJAYG): This advanced method involves joining squares as you crochet them, eliminating the need for sewing or joining later. It provides a continuous and seamless look.
      The best method for you depends on your preferences, the look you want for your blanket, and your skill level. For beginners, whip stitch or single crochet join are often good choices.
      Best of luck with your project🥰

    I would like to make this crochet square but to a size 12 inches x 12 inches. Do you know how I could achieve this? Thank you.

    • @AdoreCreaCrochet
      @AdoreCreaCrochet  11 місяців тому +2

      Certainly! Adjusting the size of a crochet square is quite manageable. Here are a few steps you can take to make your granny square 12 inches by 12 inches:
      Select a Thicker Yarn:
      Choose a thicker yarn than what you used for your first square. This will make your stitches larger and help you achieve the desired size more quickly.
      Use a Larger Crochet Hook:
      Switch to a larger crochet hook. The size of the hook significantly affects the size of the stitches. Refer to the yarn label for the recommended hook size, and you can go up a size or two to make larger stitches.
      Increase the Number of Rounds:
      Work more rounds for your granny square. Add additional rounds of the same pattern until your square reaches the desired size. Remember to maintain the symmetry of the pattern as you add rounds.
      Blocking:
      Once you've completed your square, you can block it to ensure it reaches the desired dimensions. Blocking involves wetting the square and shaping it to the correct size before allowing it to dry.
      Remember to test your adjustments as you go to ensure you are achieving the desired size. Feel free to experiment with these suggestions and find the combination that works best for you. Happy crocheting!❤😊
