The size of the square will depend on the thickness of your yarn and crochet hook. This one is about 4x4 inches.

Thank you for this excellent tutorial; so well explained and filmed! Very kind, I love it!
Because I am making a bag of these granny squares, I decided to write down the pattern. It is in Dutch though, so for the non- Dutch speakers: Google Translate is your friend 😊 Warm greetings from the Netherlands!
    Roos:
    Toer 1:
Magische cirkel, 2 lossen; dan nog 16 stokjes. Sluit met half vaste.
    Toer 2:
1 losse, 1 vaste in de eerste steek. 3 lossen.
    1 stokje, 5 dubbele stokjes, 1 stokje, 1 halfvaste.
3 stokjes. Dit alles in de eerste lus. 1 losse.

You are the first person I've come across who positions their hands like I do when crocheting. Everyone else has their left index finger up in the air. I can't keep tension on the yarn doing that. Anyway, this is a beautiful piece and I can't wait to try it.

Question! In 9:22 you say single crochet but show a double crochet. I did a double crochet but i was curious

    • @AdoreCreaCrochet
      @AdoreCreaCrochet  6 днів тому +1

Hi! 😊Thank you for catching that. You’re right, at 9:22 I mention a single crochet but demonstrate a double crochet. I apologize for any confusion this may have caused. The correct stitch for that part of the tutorial should indeed be a double crochet, as shown. Thanks for pointing this out, and happy crocheting!

What size needle did you use or it doesn't matter

    • @AdoreCreaCrochet
      @AdoreCreaCrochet  11 днів тому

Typically, the size of the crochet hook (needle) does matter to achieve the desired gauge and texture. Using the recommended hook size ensures your finished project turns out as intended. The hook size can vary based on the yarn weight and the tightness or looseness of your stitches. I used a 4.5 mm hook
