Nice Eulogy. I just ran into matches860 videos today looking for a review. I watched several of his videos before finding this one. My condolences to his family and friends. I would just like to say that his videos had a calming effect. Peaceful to watch. I dont even smoke tobacco, i was looking for a review on tobacco shipped to me on accident. After watching this video I looked up matches860 cemetary on youtube and very much enjoyed his insight. Curious hobby he had. Thank you for posting and best wishes to his family.

Hey Sarge, This video was very hard for me to watch. Regardless, thank you for representing all of us at his funeral and at the gravesite. And thank you for posting this video, even though it brought me to tears...…. Even though we never met face to face, I felt like I knew John like a brother. Life is so fragile and goes by too quick, and most of the time ,death is sudden and unexpected, as was the passing of John. I will never forget him. He was a giant in my world. - Peace -

Dear Sarge; I have been away from the pipe community videos for the last year or so and just learned of Johns passing. I'm deeply saddened and know how much you must miss your dear friend. I'm sorry to bring this up again after so many months late, but i just had to get it off my chest. No one in the pipe community can ever hear the words haunted bookshop without thinking of John. I will never forget the " Crying freeze " in your garage and you and John's comments when it finally stopped making noise. Thank you for your kind words.

I just found out about this about an hour ago. I have been busy the past few weeks and oddly enough I saw his last Friday night live, but then figured I’d see him later. Such a heartbreaking thing to hear... He was so warm and welcoming and a great conversation to listen in. Somebody should keep the show going if possible. I never commented in, but I sure loved the vibe he gave. So sad to hear the news. In John used to write me emails I'm from Melbourne Australia John used to give me advice and help me out with stress and life issues I miss him very much as he was like another grandfather to me he used to do a birthday shout out for me in a video nearly every year he did one
He was always such a great guy. Just watching his videos man you feel like his buddy sitting there hanging with him. I will miss him very much. John sent me a lovat a couple years ago, it's become my Friday pipe. Take care sergeant savinelli.
It was an honor to have you there with us and to share your words. Since meeting you, I think we have all had some kind words to say about you and your lovely wife. You painted such a wonderful picture of the impact that he had on so many. I am so sad for all of you as a community and for you as his close friend. You carried the love and comfort of all his YTPC friends, near and far. That was such a blessing to my aunt and my cousin. I’ve watched so many of his videos over the weeks since his passing and they are so entertaining. It’s a side of my uncle that I am sad to say I learned of too late.
