Hewbury's 𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗜𝗙𝗜𝗘𝗗 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 & 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗿:
This is a very unique product in our furniture upcycling world and is not intended as just a decorative glaze-stain-sealer.
Our Fortified Stain & Sealer is a high-quality commercial-grade product that gives you a 𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗬 𝗛𝗔𝗥𝗗 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝗗𝗨𝗥𝗔𝗕𝗟𝗘 𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗦𝗛, in fact, it can be used on your exterior decking being also non-yellowing, UV-resistant, and water-repellant.
It is water-based with low VOC’s and has been designed to provide the high protective qualities that oil-based varnishes have, but without the nasties they come with.
It is self-levelling so it’s important to let it dry naturally - and it doesn’t take long to dry with full cure in only a few days!
We currently have these colours in the Fortified Stain & Sealer range: Whitewash, Drfitwood, Jacobean, Raven (black), and Clear, with a new trendy colour coming out really soon - update: the new colour is called NOODE!
How to Apply:
It is very easy to apply once you understand the purpose of this product!
You apply it the same way you would apply a water-based top coat.
You can use our Hewbury brushes, blue sponge, microfibre roller, or spray. This product sprays very nicely for the ultimate professional finish! Can be applied on raw wood or water-based painted surface.
Very useful tip: Misting the surface/tool with water prior to application helps the product glide and stain evenly. Mist during the application process when necessary.
** Another tip: Our Fortified Stain & Sealer comes in a semi-gloss sheen. If you prefer a matte sheen, apply our Extra Protective Clear Coat in the Eggshell Finish over it.
